What Makes Befuddled Stand Out
BE BEFUDDLED!

Form words by touching adjacent tiles in the grid. You can select tiles to the right, left, up, down, and diagonally.
As you submit words, the used up letters in the grid vanish, and tiles fall down from above to take their place.
When you reach higher levels, additional tile types (marble, jade, glass, and ruby) begin to fall, in addition to the original wood style. Words can only be spelled using a single tile type.

Community Insight:
This has been our favorite game and just got better. Last week we sent an email asking if the music could be lowered or off while Im using Bluetooth to listen to our music in our home or car while playing. Not only did they get back to us right away but the app can be played while listening to your music over Bluetooth! Thanks Befuddled! You made our day.
Ive noticed that Ive seen the same starting pattern of letters come up more than once. Its not really random.
We love the game, but its really annoying that theres no way to completely mute the game. Ive turned the volume to the lowest setting, but you can still hear the click-click-click of the tiles, unless we mute our phone. This makes it impossible to sneak play at work. Otherwise, an excellent game. Ive been looking for a replacement for AlphaBetty since they arent adding new levels anymore, and this works. Challenging, strategic, and we get to make words of our own choosing with as many letters as we can. Well worth the purchase price. It would be 5 stars if it allowed us to mute.
We turn the sound off on all our games. For some reason Befuddled only lets you turn it down, but not off. It is quite annoying. There is no website for support.
We cant believe the original bookworm game is not available on our new, upgraded iPhone!! We refused to buy an other brand of phone except an iPhone because we loved to play bookworm so much. Several of our grandchildren loved to sit down and play it with us or by themselves. These new versions of bookworm are a poor comparison to the old version!! Please make the original version available again.
We put off updating our iPad because we were afraid our Bookworm game would not work anymore. But a well meaning relative updated our iPad to version 11.4.1. Sure enough, Bookworm no longer works in the new version. We downloaded this game a few years ago, and it is our favorite word game. Now we cannot play it at all! Please update this game. Many others have been requesting this too. Wow Word and Befuddled are very poor substitutes for the original game that we downloaded.
This is one of our go to games when we want to unwind.
We can play this game for hours. It is not timed yet very challenging. We like word games that allow us to think and relax and not rush us to the next level. There is no other word game that can do this for us. Thank you.
Switched over to this game when we changed phones. We were looking for a replacement to the Bookworm app, which was our favorite game for our phone. We are enjoying this game. Just getting started so we'll see how much we like it in the next few months.
This is a very entertaining game. It makes you think, challenges your vocabulary, and is never the same game twice. We have it on our iPod and iPad, so we can have eight different panels going at once.
Yeah! Changed our 1 star to 5 stars because volume's fixed! Great game like bookworm without story & characters. Can use coins (not real money) to buy scramble, bombs, extra letters, etc. & don't have to spend real money! You earn coins for end of each level. ***1 star comment: Can't stand the noise!!! Volume doesn't adjust through settings. New changes made us delete game. The blocks dropping sound is like nails on a chalkboard. We'll find a different game to play, one you can mute.
We really like this game. It's fun to play when we have a lot of time and also when we only have a few minutes.
Great game! Allows you to use your brain and those are the best games.
Don't…stop…us…now. We're having a good time, we're having a ball! (lyrics from Queen). Great improvements from last version. We like the ability to store and play multiple games. Red Robin on us next time.
Works fully on our new phone now — yay! :).
Befuddled is a cross between a crossword and word-find puzzle, and more interesting than either.
Good game to review your vocabulary.
We love this game. Great for playing on short breaks. We like having multiple games at a time. Don't like that it does not rotate on screen and either give more coins or don't charge as much for usage for specials.
Gets tough when you get to higher ranks.
This is a great game, perfect for playing in short bursts of downtime, but the constant pop-ups from Game Center are beyond annoying. Please at least give us the option to turn them off.
Look up word in the dictionary no longer works since updating to iOS 7 on our iPad. No keyboard appears to enter letters.
We hate pop ups – this game used to be fun – not anymore.
Will not rotate. Apple, please tell us when games require you to spend money to play.
Befuddled has been our favorite app since it debuted. Downloaded the latest upgrade and had a problem with it; wrote them a note and got a POLITE and HELPFUL message back right away. Then, a day later, an updated version that solved the problem completely! How often do you see that.
These were the worse changes ever. Don't go for it. Updated on our iPhone but won't do it on our iPad. Can we please get our older version back.
The new update has taken a simple, elegant and relaxing game and turned it into a complicated, nerve-wracking mess. Letters literally change while we're trying to click on them. The whole underlying game has been changed and previous strategies have gone out the window. The game is now truly "Befuddling" and will be coming off our phone.
We are so disappointed with the new changes. It's completely changed how you play the game. The worst part is the added tiles that you can't use to start a word. Also the tiles with two or three letters on them is a joke. The game was so much better before the changes, it's not even fun anymore just annoying. We played this game every day now we'll have to find something else the change is just to frustrating.
So much fun! Will find our self playing for hours. Anyone can play from beginner to pro, the different levels make it challenging for everyone. When you get this app. You won't be disappointed.
This great game is addictive and challenging!! Best word game there is.
Very fun entertaining word game.
Great game. We like the updates which only makes it better. Keep them coming.
Our dentist told us about it when we were in the chair getting a new crown. What a fun way to take your mind off of life's problems).
Im so addicted to this game! So crazy. Thanks kayla lulz.
Great fun! Our grand kids love laying it with us.
Love this game! Be warned..it is addictive.
One of the best games. Take your time to play. Requires thinking and strategy.
The best word game by far! Never gets stale and repetitive like so many others. It give your brain a total workout but we find it also can be relaxing. These guys at Inert Soap know there stuff.
Pluses. Q paired with U. Score based on length AND letters used. More points for X, Z, etc.
Our new favorite game! Worth the price if you're a scrabble/boggle fan like us.
We love this game! We got hooked on it from the first day we played it. Love the challenge of finding larger and less known words. We're continually trying to beat our top game.
We don't want to write a review.
Great game. Doesn't get boring. You look forward to the next challenge.
Fun, challenging and different every time. Really enjoy it.
Can't seem to put this game down. Love it.
Wow, anyone who can score high on THIS game has certainly proven their worthiness to lead. Fame and fortune, ha! That's the least of it… Oh, and they should immediately be offered the job of red sox GM, just in case John Henry is reading this.
We're not a gamer (beyond Tetris); our son Aaron recommended it and now we find it hard to put down.
We love this game! At first it seems like just another version of Bookworm, but as you move up through the levels, different colored tiles are added for challenge. You gather a coin for each word you play, which can then be used to change tile colors, buy more tiles, scramble tiles, and so on. Of course, this depletes your coins, so you have to use these specials wisely. Some tiles are worth more coins, however, so if you strategize a bit – especially early on – you can amass quite a hefty coin bank, which comes in handy later in the game. You get more points for longer words, of course, and for words with the odd letters: J, K, Q, X, Z. (The developers integrated the U into the Q tile, BTW, which is a kindness.) we're always trying to find the crazy long words that'll get us thousands of points, like "expediters" and "quavering." If you're a word freak like we are, get this game! It's utterly addictive.
Love this game it is addictive! It also keeps you thinking. LOVE IT.
Love the various levels & the ability to play 4 games at once! Challenging game.
This is a great game for people who enjoy word games.
