When launching this app and we have copied text from Notes, we see BJR Classic pasted from Notes. This game has no need for whatever might be on your clipboard, so this appears to be a serious violation of privacy.
Several time when we launch this app, iOS 14 says BJR pasted from SafeInTheCloud. It seems to grab the contents of whatever is in the paste buffer on launch – which could be sensitive personal information it has no need for. Be careful using this application! It steals your personal information for some purpose that isnt for your benefit.
We liked this game for a long time, it's a fun challenge that requires focus and quick reactions. The new update however destroyed the game and we are deleting it. It now has a giant flashing ad bar on top of the screen that is so distracting we find it impossible to play the game. If they look at other apps they could see that ads can be integrated without ruining the game. We would bother to install.
Phone app is pretty neat, but the watch app isn't so great. Button placement isn't well thought out. Hit and Hold buttons should be moved to the bottom. And the touch response makes it unusable; you have to touch the buttons repeatedly before you get a response.
We used to play this one nonstop on the Palm Treo. Fun game. Our only complaint is the fun of setting high scores has now been ruined by a money grab of purchasing "redos" and it will basically be impossible to reach the high score list without lots of redos. You need an all-21 board on every round (3) and even with perfect play that only happens about 1 in 25 or so each round so you'll be playing for decades trying to set a top score without redo, which you have to purchase packs of.
That is the dumbest ploy to try and make a buck. Terrible idea.
Developer has screwed it up again. Moved the buttons. Changed the layout…sigh.
The person singing praise to this retro-new interface must be a seahorse software person. The old product's interface is nicer and richer than this crap, and if the audience fizzled in the past is because simply this game is not intended for the massive kind of audience of an "angry birds" game. Yes you hooked this 3.x version to Game Center and simplified the interface. You destroyed it!!!. Do you have a usability lab? Did you conduct a single focus group? Do not destroy the paid version introducing the crap you put in this light version.
V2 ruined our favorite game. Fortunately was able to retrieve old version from itunes.
We upgraded the latest patch and now it doesn't play at all.
We haven't updated to 2.3 after downgrading to 1.x, so we don't know for sure, but: Can you move the score on the Classic Layout to the right of the cards, like you could in 1.x? If not, then please add this option, as the way we hold our iPod means we can't see the scores when they're on the left. Better yet, ditch the 2.x code altogether and resubmit the 1.x code as version 3. Let's just all pretend that v.2 never happened.
MY OLD REVIEW: This is by far the best application in the app store for entertainment purposes. (The facebook app is much better than mobile facebook, but has a couple problems.) we would gladly pay for this game, and we have gotten all our friends addicted. Download this game! Current High Score: 2041 MY NEW REVIEW: The last "update" really brought the game down off it's high pedastal of our favorite iPod app. Having in score on the opposite side of the hand you are using is invaluable and should be an option in the free version. Others opitions are dlso missing and some beq scoring options are now used we wish we could toggle on and off. We don't like that we're almost compelled to buy the full version when the past free version was one of the best apps out there. HIGH SCORE: 2152.
Have to say adding the ads to the app really is disappointing. Understand having a pop up asking if you'd like to upgrade but the ads is a bad move by the developer.
This is far and away our favorite game on the Touch for two years now. Would love to see it upgraded for the ipad. We hated the UI change, but if you switch to classic view it's the great old game. Buy it.
Well, it's not exactly the same as it used to be– but we're totally comfortable with playing the game in classic mode and we find ourselves as hooked as we once was, so yeah– Blackjack Run is back. We wish there was a way that we could make the countdown clock stop shaking– it's really annoying– but aside from that one little fault and stay for a couple little graphic refinements we'd love to see, we're so happy that we can play this old favorite again. Thanks dev(s?)! You rock. BTW– any chance we can get those giant stop and skip buttons under control– maybe make them little and square(ish) like in the old days? Thanks thanks thanks thanks.
We all need to remain calm. We hated the update too. Until we played it a few hundred times and our brain got used to the new look AND now we like the new version better. It really is more fun. More ways to score. It will all be ok.
We've had this game for a while and definitely love it, everyone should get it. It sounds like we have the same issue as everyone else though, please return the "new game" button to the window that pops up at the end of every round. We have a general and probably clich belief that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Based on this, we are not sure why this feature was taken out in the latest update. It says this will return by popular demand by 9/26, but here we are at 9/30 and no update. Kudos developers, we love this game, but please return this feature asap. For anyone who doesn't know, for the time being go to the settings button on the bottom and click new game. And for anyone looking at this review, don't hesitate to dnld this game, it's awesome.
The 1.5 update cleared our highscore of 1600+ !! It should of atleast put that as the top local.. If the full wasn't 5 bucks we would upgrade. Great game.
For the idiot who doesn't know how the game is scored, it shows U at the end of each round.
This is an awesome free game similar to blackjack. Fast play and gets your brain working.

The "update" has rendered this free version useless – don't waste time on a download of this. We have never taken the time to rate any app before, but this situation is just too disappointing to not speak up. We WON'T be paying the (too) high price of the regular version, as much as we are missing this game.

This is a great game – we're very addicted. Don't understand how the global scores are SO much higher than ours. Also, don't get what the other levels could offer. Someone there says to just get this. It's addictive.
The recent inclusion of a personal and global top 10 has made this game even more addictive and fun. Best looking app, no. Highest production value, no. But it is by far the app we return to and use the most. Tons of fun.

Hands down, this is the best game made for iPhone. It is exceptionally fun to play, requires quick-thinking skills, and doesn't get old quickly. The graphics are exceptional insofar as they translate to wonderful gameplay performance. The sheer slight on this game, if there is one, is that there is no "restart" button. Five stars.
One of the most addicting games out there. The only problem is that once you get a score over 2300, it's very hard to convince ourselves to keep playing.
Really gets you focused and keeps you on the edge. Our best score is 2194, and the stars aligned for that one. :).

It's pleasing to get better and better. One thing we wish it would show is what the highest possible score could be for a given round. That way a player could evaluate progress against the possible-not just against the score which has a lot to do with how the cards come up. Thanks for making this game. Terrific job.
Just a great game, the most fun app in our opinion. After much practice and play, our high score is 2555 … Edit: we just beat our high score … It's now 2565.
