We purchased the game for both iOS and Android. The game play for Android is better and more like the original. As the level goes up, the complexity of the game increases with the addition of more color blocks. Unfortunately in iOS version, as the level goes up, the playing field is made smaller and smaller which renders them unplayable.

Normally we would rate this game a five star game, its very challenging. We purchased the NoAds option, they never went away. So, we purchased NoAds again. That is TWICE, Still the ads remain and these ads are annoying and very loud. We would like to play the game in silence! We sent an unanswered email, still has ads.
We love this game but to start a new game you have to delete the app and download it again. This causes the ads to start again (which we paid to remove already) and its difficult to to get to the buttons at the bottom of the screen because theyre covered with ads you cant remove. Cant contact the app because the send button doesnt send your message.
This is a really good puzzle. But the slot advertising prior to being able to play with this puzzle is frustrating. Why is this necessary? We would like to enjoy the game without the advertising of slot games that feature slutty cartoon come-on features. Why cant we pay for the puzzle we want and play without the frustration.
Loved this game. We became highly addicted until we noticed that you can get the block you want next by do-undo-do-again repeatedly. The third block is NOT the same after the do-again and is NOT random either. We reached master level 62 and had to stop. Skill and planning don’t matter if you can ALWAYS get what you want. Sad, as this was a good-enough replacement for BrickShooter.
This is an outstanding puzzle very similar to one of our all-time favorite games : Brickshooter Egypt. We were disappointed at first as there are only two blocks in each row and column whereas BE had three rows which allowed you to plan three moves ahead in each row and column. It took us playing almost 20 games before we realized that the brick in the upper right corner showed the next brick to appear in the row or column you activate and the block in the upper left showed you the one after that. This effectively allows you to plan four moves ahead in each row and column and place the new blocks where you need them most. Brilliant !!! Kudos to the dev !
Outstanding game left to play it every time, Im waiting to do something or waiting for the doctors office. Before level 55 at the master everything was great but when we hit level 56 we started having to hey for hits and nowhere in the instructions doesnt explain the rules or what fee options are for pay. Have completed all levels up to master level 58 and only 12 levels left to complete entire game. Only wish there was more instructions for the game and how in purchases work.
Gave it 3 stars because the further you get into the game… Near the end of expert… Playing same site for months.. Just cant get over the hump.
The ad for wooden block puzzle does not run and no way to get back to game without deleting app and reinstalling only to have it happen again when that ad runs again. But like the game.
Block by Block version 2.7 is a GREAT game! It is very addictive and enjoyable to play. We keep coming back for "just one more game". If you like match-3 games, you will definitely like playing Block by Block because it adds the element of strategy. There are three difficulty levels (Beginner, Expert and Master) that make the game relaxing fun for a novice and a real challenge at the master level. The graphics are clean and attractive with straightforward controls. We downloaded the game just a few days ago, and it is already one of our favorites! Give it a try, you’ll like it!
This is our go-to puzzle game when we’re waiting in real life for something or for another game to regenerate lives (or go through a game-pausing period b/c we don’t want to pay to keep playing. We’ve kept this game throughout the weird ad-attack phase and we just erase the data and start over when we finish all the levels.
LOVED this game until we updated. Now, we just get the wood screen. No options to play. Please fix this so we can play again.
We used to enjoy this game but now Avery few seconds ads take over. Sad.
We love this game, but now it crashes all the time. You can’t even get through 4-5 moves without a crash. Totally worthless.
This has got to be our favorite game. So when the new update came out and ended up with crash we were very sad. But not enough to give it less the 5 stars!
This is a 5 star game, but it crashes every third move since the update.
This game app is sooooo additive! The expert level is very difficult.
