Ive been playing Boggle with Friends for years now, and its great! Unless Im in a room without WiFi, it works great. For us, we never had a problem with the app. Im not very sure whats going on with other users though. Thanks for reading our review.
Love this game, but when you play against a bot, you shouldnt have to wait for the bots to finish against you or each other. Its annoying to have to wait. It would also be good to make the print a little larger when it comes to the scoring.
Used to be 5 stars, now 2. Ive been playing this for years but for the past few months we cant get the games to load in a timely manner. Very disappointing to miss playing, goals and prizes because the game is stuck.
Yes! We love Boggle. We play it every day. But Ive been noticing some changes to the scoring that we dont think are quite fair. When we come across someone who uses the Blaze for help, we resign after the first round. We dont use it and wont use it. This evening, we finished the second round with a player and was trying to figure out how they more than doubled our score. We went looking for the Blazes but there were none. At the very beginning, we both had the word lax. She received 19 points but we got 11. Had there been the Blaze icon, we would have expected that. Then we both played sax. She got 18 to our 10. We are confused.
Been playing for years over two accounts. Love that theyve kept the ads to a minimum. Very addictive game.
We wouldve ranked the game higher if they didnt put Flo from progressive into the game a while ago. If they do it again the rating will go to 1 star (because zero is not a possible rating).
We have been playing Boggle With Friends for years. But, we almost want to delete the app because it has become unstable has inconsistent playing times. Sometimes the app works like its supposed to. Other times, like today, it becomes stuck on an unending loading cycle and becomes unplayable. We love the game, but strongly dislike waiting on the app to load properly.
The game would be great if we didnt get the same 3 boards almost every single day. We know the words to find by heart. Not very challenging.
The game is fun. The bummer is the app. It takes forever for the banner ads to load, which slows it down so much that you have to wait ridiculously long amounts of time to play. If they would fix that it would be much more enjoyable.
We bought this app yers ago then one it just went away. They wanted us to buy it again. No way. So now we play, not with friends, but with ads.
Ive been playing this game for years and will continue to play. However, we get so frustrated by all the ads and ongoing glitches that make it impossible to close the ad out. Theres an ad after every game and sometimes you have to watch the full thing, which can be a minute long. There are other times where it wont even let you close out the ad and you have to restart your phone. We enjoy the game other than the ads, but because the ads are a regular part of playing, we are giving it fewer stars.
We loved scramble but this version is unplayable. The sound works for a few seconds then the game mutes. We tried pausing, turning up volume, restarting etc. Its very disorienting and sometimes the sound suddenly returns and is of course too loud because we had tried turning it up when it muted itself earlier. It never used to be like this. Deleting after being back for 1 day.
1) There should be an option where both players agree and are forced to use ZERO power ups. 2) Would like to see a list of worldwide standings 3) Large form tournaments with ZERO power ups That is all. Obsessed and have been playing daily for over 12 years :).
Ive been playing this game for at least 10 years, and still find it challenging. The ads have become so intrusive that we continue to look for an alternative to this game. We can no longer silence the ads, so we cant play the game while listening to a podcast as we used to do. The daily event occasionally gets stuck on a previous day so that we cant play that. The contact us for help feature no longer works for us, so we cant find a way to get them to fix the daily event, which is currently stuck.
We have been playing this game for a long time it froze and we had to delete the app to get it back to working but its some other person when we downloaded and it wont let us log in to our account very disappointed.
Been using this app for years loved it, but today it wouldnt let us collect our bonus. Then it would t let us play. We r turned our phone off/on, cleared our cache, and even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. It just spins, and will not continue to log in.
We really enjoy this game. We play to keep our brain working.
Ive been playing daily for a few years. The ads have become even more annoying but thats not our only complaint today. Now the screen is frozen with a sign up for email updates message box that we cant close by tapping the x, the yes or the shaded maybe later options. What the what.
We have been playing for a few years now. In the 6 months or so, it started getting slow upon opening. Since you have added the Progressive ad/Flo, it has gotten worse & freezes on ads.
It is very annoying to have Flo pop up to tell us its our turn. She appeared when you changed the game.
A fun game, but it is overwhelming the number of ads thrown at you. A few bug/feature requests: (1) when you decline a game, it brings up a box asking you for yes or no, neither of these buttons does anything and brings you back to the screen. (2) Id love a feature where both players agree to no power ups.
We like the game and have played it almost daily. Somehow the daily scoring is messed up. Each Thursday we lose one day of points and we fall way behind. Isnt the case with other players. Seems like it would be easy to fix this.
We love Boggle but this app is glitchy. We dont always get our tokens. Ads are really long and after the ad is over, the sound in the game disappears. Have to exit the app and come back. The app uses a lot of data so it takes forever to load. Ive considered going ad free but the purchase is only good for 30 days.
We used to like this game, but now it has way too many glitches. Half the time you have to press the screen 5 or 6 times for it to recognize it, if it ever does. More and more ads. Today it wont even work at all. You can press the screen and nothing happens. Its a shame because its a fun game when it works.
Love playing Boggle -BUT the bugs and changes theyve made are totally killing it. It always takes a long time to load. Today it wont load at all! We play a lot EVERY day, but a couple more like today, and Im done. They run Words With Friends as well, and THAT runs without a hitch. Almost seems like theyre trying to kill this one off -based on other reviews as well. Lastly, they used to give you multiples of the daily rewards, which was fun. Now they VERY rarely do. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
We have played Boggle for years and loved it but the new update with Flo is making us not want to play. Takes forever to load and is so slow it is beyond frustrating.
We seem to be able to play but they will no longer let our wife play. Wish there was way to contact someone for help.

Our wife and we have played this game for years. But, lately, we no longer get notifications that the other one is done. The nudge feature no longer works because we cant get notifications. And our notification bubble will not go back to zero. It stayed on 30 unless our wife plays. Then it goes up by one. There are no other notifications. Each time we play a computer game with the computer and complete the game, it goes up by one. We wish there was a fix to this stuff.
Fun game BUT weekly challenge doesnt work. Inaccurate tally of players weekly points so leaderboard is highly inaccurate. Poor response to notifications.
PLEASE UPDATE THIS GAME. Its one of our favorites, but its too laggy and glitchy. Please fix it.
Lots of fun challenges, but the daily challenge will freeze for days or weeks at a time saying its waiting for X more players and it doesnt matter if you delete the app and reinstall, the original issue will persist. Super frustrating. Right now Im still waiting on a Thursday challenge from like 2 weeks ago – still thinks were waiting for one more player to determine the winner. This means we cannot enter any of the current daily challenges and this has happened like 20 times to us.
Lately the daily games dont update reliably. Ive been frozen on Half Off Tuesday for 4 days now. No answer from tech support.
Ive been playing Boggle for more than seven years. For the first time we cant get player support. We have 10 games where the opposing player stopped playing. Some of them are as old as 32 days and we cant remove them, even by deleting & reinstalling app. There are additional problems with losing tokens & time to load games.
Very frustrating lately as the game never notifies you when its your turn. You have to constantly open the app to check or text your friends that it is their turn. We have contacted technical help through the app and only get canned responses to check this or that. No actual help. We have emailed the app support and gain was told same things as when we tried technical support. Was told we would hear back in 24 hours and now 7 days later nothing. We hope they will fix this problem. Also we find the Progressive Insurance ads with Flo telling us its our friends turn when we finish playing a game a nuisance. We are wonder of this is what is causing the problem.
Inconsistent. Got a zero in third round and lost. Tried support which is generally unhelpful. All we could pull up is an old conversation but cant write anything after.
We used to love this game but then the ads kept getting longer and longer and longer. We refuse to play a game where they gradually take advantage of ones valuable time with ads.
When we try and open the app, it closes almost immediately. Ive tried deleting and re-downloading, but still not working.
Overall, we like this game. However, you need to acknowledge so many prompts. And now with the latest update, there is a new emoji that pops up and tells us things like its our turn. And we have to tap multiple times to get rid of this nuisance.
June 2025 update: we take back everything we said about the game being less buggy. We dont even get notifications when its our turn to play anymore. Please put your A, or even B dev team on this. One thoroughly tested deployment could fix SO much. We love this game, especially since recent updates have rendered the game less buggy. That said, while we understand the power ups drive profits, can you all please consider adding no power ups tournaments and/or events? Allow folks to truly play truly apples to apples rounds. It is so demotivating to know there are entire game features we cant compete in because Ive chosen to push ourselves by not to using them. By the way, our tickets pile up because of this. Youd still make money off of players like us when we eventually run out of tickets.
Turn your device off, then the notice you cant agree to will work. Long time player of this challenging game. Its the first thing we do every day to wake our brain up! This is a game you can get better and better at, a rare thing in a game. Highly recommend.

The ads drive us crazy but not enough to stop playing.
You earn coins but it is unclear what they are for other than an occasional hint. Also, on the daily challenge, there is a glitch that doesnt always recognize the award. Example, if you get a bonus for using a corner tile, it doesnt always pay out. Fun game if youre looking for something to play that isnt terribly challenging, which is great sometimes.
We love this game, too, been playing it since it was Word streak. Recently, theres a pop-up dialogue. It says we have to accept the terms of sharing our personal information and videos. We will not agree to that, but it does not give us any other choice. So now we cant play the game. Really disappointing news.
Getting message we have to agree to accept sharing personal info with 3rd parties. Been playing for years!!! How can we change game settings when we cant get this screen to go away.
They were giving you one a month Ad-Free option with a good amount of coins for $20-$25 but that no longer exists. Oh well, we were getting kind of burnt out on the game anyway.
Boggle has been our favorite pastime for the last 5 years, but for the last few months its gotten progressively worse in its functionality. It often takes a good 5 minutes just to load. We dont have time for that! Sometimes it takes so long that we have to try 3-4 times. Often the tiles stick like crazy and it often freezes mid game more than once per game to the point its impossible win. We might have to try 5 or 6 times just to get a word spelled. We might spell FINITE but it comes out FINT or something else crazy. Its getting quite frustrating and we may have to just give up on playing and go for another word game.
