Description

Take the busy-work out of scoring Rubber Bridge, Chicago (4-deal) and/or Duplicate Bridge – let your iPhone/iPad do it for you with this flexible scorepad. Whether you are a veteran bridge player or someone who’s just getting into the game, the Bridge Scorepad can help you better enjoy the game and enhance your understanding of the nuances of scoring.

  • Support for traditional Rubber Bridge scoring (i.e. We/They), Chicago Style (4-deal) AND Duplicate Bridge.

  • Rubber Bridge scorepad features:

    • The familiar look of a traditional scoresheet with a graphical notation of the contract and results.
    • See at a glance which teams are vulnerable, which teams have game legs on and their respective total scores.
    • Tap on an entry in the scoresheet to view a detailed explanation of the scoring. (You can edit the details of a previously played contract if you need to.)
    • Play multiple rubbers in one scoresheet, or create a new scoresheet for each rubber.
  • Chicago Bridge scorepad features:

    • Graphical ‘Chukker’ to keep track of the deal.
    • Support for both Chicago and Cavendish vulnerability systems.
    • Support for traditional Chicago scoring and Duplicate style scoring.
    • The familiar look of a traditional scoresheet with a graphical notation of the contract and results.
    • See at a glance which teams are vulnerable, which teams have game legs on (Chicago scoring) and their respective total scores.
    • Tap on an entry in the scoresheet to view a detailed explanation of the scoring. (You can edit the details of a previously played contract if you need to.)
  • Duplicate Bridge scorepad features:

    • Enter your Boards one at a time, in batches (e.g. by round) or all at once.
    • Personalize the scoresheet with a description and your player/team ID to highlight your team’s scores in the scoresheet.
    • Quickly differentiate between complete and incomplete boards.
    • Tap on a completed board in the scoresheet to view a detailed explanation of the scoring (and edit the board if necessary).
  • Personalize and share your scoresheets:

    • Personalize scoresheets with player names and a scoresheet description.
    • Email a PDF copy or print(*) scoresheets directly from your device.
    • When scoring Rubber or Chicago on an iPad, there is a "Large font" user preference to help others at the table better see the scoresheet too.
  • Sum scores across scoresheets to track players over a period of time (currently for Rubber Bridge and Chicago Bridge only). The report includes a grand total by player as well as subtotals by the dates of the scoresheets (i.e. subtotals for all the scoresheets played on a single date). The report can be emailed or printed (*) directly from your device.

  • Includes a reference copy of the standard rules for scoring contract bridge (based on the 2004 International Laws of Contract Bridge).

  • Standalone scoring calculator (on the ‘backside’ of the scoring rules). Use it to score a hand or simply to better understand the nuances of contract bridge scoring.

(*) Printing directly from the device requires an available AirPrint compatible printer. eMailing requires that your device has been configured to send emails.

      • We are striving to create the ultimate bridge scorepad, so let us know what features you think would make it even better.

Updated on 21st February 2020

iOS 13 fix for score totalizer (‘SumThing’) to update scores when returning to the tab. Also, contract details and results are now both on 1 screen for iPhone X & 11.

Bridge Scorepad Reviews

We use this for Chicago scoring and it works perfectly. Fairly intuitive once you get the hang of it. You can print and mail scoresheets and it has a scorekeeper for points over multiple rubbers. Well done!

It keeps score better than we do. Its very easy to use, almost intuitive if youve been keeping score with paper and pencil. We were sold after the first use and havent gone back. It even taught us that Id been scoring penalties (doubles and redoubled) incorrectly. And it looks just like a paper score pad so youll be able to read it from the start. If you score bridge, you want this app.

Thank you for this … It takes the work out of keeping score. We messed with it for a few minutes and figured it out. Yahoo!!! Plus a fellow Greek developed it. Sweet.

We’re new to Bridge, however, we were hosting others who were experienced Bridge players. They couldn’t figure out how to operate the app, either.

Meets our needs in every area except: we usually rotate players on each rubber. We hate having to retype names. Would be great to have list of players and be able to tap on the names for the new scoresheets. We’ve used this app for 2 yrs. And love it.

We use this score pad for both Chicago and Rubber Bridgelove it!

Love the app, very simple to use and to correct mistakes! One thing I’d like to see is more options on partial game scores. Our group uses Chicago but adds 50 for part games. Maybe add a config for using part scores on all scoring variations along with the points to be awarded in this situation.

Great! We just wish it also worked in landscape!

Amazing how a single purpose app can be so cool. We haven’t used it in a real bridge game yet, but we "played" several simulated games and the scoring seems accurate. Also a really nice way to keep running scores. When we were in college (in the 70’s… Way pre-Apple!) four of us lived off campus and rotated partners and kept a year long tally to determine the individual winner. This app would have made our competition much easier!

Very good application — does exactly what you’d expect, does it well, and looks good. One feature request: it would be very nice if there were a way to email a completed scoresheet.

Excellent… Works real well and we can now concentrate on Bridge and not the scoring. Paper and pen might cost more.

Brilliant! Love it. We just wish it had a way to keep track of dealer. Can’t throw away pen and paper yet :(

Exactly what we wanted. Very well designed and intuitive to use.

We really like this app. It’s thorough and well thought-out. The only change we would make is a way to set who is vulnerable. As of now, the score pad determines who is vulnerable. Otherwise, it’s a winner.

This app needs an option to total the score in the duplicate interface and keep track of scores for each player for those playing party bridge and using duplicate scoring. It’d be nice if it could also calculate winnings for party bridge players. What it does so far is good. We’ll give it five stars when it adds these features.

Not thrilled- was a bit misled- thought it would not be JUST a scorepad, but also have games- would like to be able to return it and get our $ back- really no room on the bridge table for our i-pad- we are too used to the pencil and paper- have been playing bridge for 40 years but we love our new i-pad for other things- maybe we might buy a more expensive bridge game- but for right now we are happy with the social aspect of getting together with our friends to play.
