Community Insight:
Classic stg game. Nice bullets design and music.
If you enjoy stressful situations.
Very FTP, fun music, good progression, good difficulty.
Pretty much a perfect game except if you go over 9,999 AP it rolls over back to 0. Use your AP before you get there or find out the hard way like us.
Wowzers this is the best app ever we initially only bought it because of a whole gerfuffle with our friend but oh boy do we not regret losing that gerfuffle.
Basically touhou but more graphics and less impossible.
Personally, our favorite mission is "?????????".
Chapter 2 is where boys become men.
No constant ads, fun and challenging gameplay. We would definitely recommend.
We forgot to sleep so Im over 24 hours without sleep and we decided to play some to see how bad we would be when Im tired Im too tired to know what we did different but we somehow increased our high score in one of the challenges by 5mil and made it to #51 on the global leaderboard Fun game and very easy when using sleep deprivation strats.
We dont think these are going to get updates so theyre gonna.
This game is the best mobile shoot em up and wow is it a treat from great ost to great gameplay super fun we had it for one day and we cant stop playing.
We love this game so much its so addicting.
This is a great shmup that has a great soundtrack and its on of those game where it throws everything it has at you.
Incredible game and well worth the money for the IAP.
Super fun, amazing game play and great difficulty. Simple graphics but somehow stunning. Our favorite part is it literally says in the game you can unlock everything for 3.99 but if you enjoy playing chapters and upgrading ships then dont buy it because you can do it for free. Wonderful change from the money hungry scheme of most mobile games. We gladly spent a few dollars to unlock ships just to support the dev.
Love bullet hell games and this one didnt disappoint.
This game is really addictive and has managed to keep us coming back again and again. Its our favorite Bullet Hell and by a long shot. 10/10 would recommend.
We love the game but the only complaint we have is how you cant unlock paid types with AP.
This is by far one of the best shmups that Ive had the pleasure of experiencing. The music, the color, the art style, the geometry, all of it helps to enhance the experience. Im surprised that this app is free and hope that the developer gets all the recognition he deserves.
The detail and quality are top-notch.
Difficult, but its supposed to be and really fun.
This is the best bullet hell game we ever played.
This game has it all–beautiful graphics, great music, minimal microtransactions, and amazing gameplay.
Its got it all, boss fights, nice sound effects, balanced upgrade system and its also got a sick soundtrack to boot.
This is a 5 year old fav game that we found again Im happy it stayed on the App Store and we could find it again! Keep the great games coming:) why 4 stars is because we know the makers need money from the game but maybe make the costs a bit lower pls but other than that its amazing.
We have gotten into bullet hells recently and this game is a great to start with! But the last 5 levels are almost unbeatable. Sure you obviously have to have skill in order to beat the last few levels, but sometimes you cant deal enough damage to beat some enemies or obstacles. For example, in level 508, there are these boxes that you need to destroy before they go down the screen and we cant destroy them in time despite the fact we have used all the weapons and still can beat the level on normal. We looked it up online and no one has been able that level on normal. Other than that, the game is satisfying and the music is awesome.
We Have Been Playing This Game For About 2 To 3 Days And From What we Could See The Game Is Amazing With Creative Enemy Placements To Creative Bosses And Weapons And The Bombs Are Amazing Each One Is Different For Every Weapon And It Balances Out The Other Stats So This Game Is One Of The Few we Love Because It Isnt 90% Chaos And 10% Strategy Its 50% Chaos And 50% Strategy.
Before we had downloaded this we were already playing a different bullet hell game. And we had gotten pretty bored as we found it (and we still do) find it too easy. So we went on the app store and found this. At first we thought it was gonna be very similar to the last one. We were wrong. Very wrong. First off, whenever we get a mobile game, and see the line "in app purchases" we start to wonder whether the game is pay-to-win (Fun Fact: most of the time it is), and this was no different. Now we know that this is not pay-to-win, very far from it. The only things that you can buy are the different weapon types, and these are entirely opinion based. Second the visuals. In our opinion the game does this pretty good (no context). Third, the gameplay. We would say that this is the worst factor of the game just because it's harder for new players to the genre to good. But really this is just a flaw with the genre itself and doesn't really take back anything from the quality of the game. It's hard, but not too hard (at least for players that aren't new to the genre), and often times we find ourselves playing this game for hours. Overall it's one of the best of it's kind and we would really recommend it, even if this is your introduction to the genre because it's easy to learn. Edit: we just wanted to add that this is game makes us want to buy things in-game just to support the creators. Keep it up.
Its an amazing bullet hell game, but can you at least nerf chapter 4? We know there is an easy mode, but chapter 4 is the most unpredictable chapter and it requires a lot of memory. Especially level 404.
If you arent playing this game right now…. Why. Its entirely free and has loads of content.
This game is just fun, hard and just a hard to put down game.
We went in expecting a dumbed down shmup on the iPhone and instead we got a genuinely great game. If you are into bullet hells play this.
Probably the best mobile bullet hell out there.
Lots to like here. Controls are simple & responsive. Difficulty can be dialed in from newbie to pro. Different ships, modes, and upgrades lend lots of depth. Monetization is well implemented: You can watch occasional ads to speed up upgrades, but its not a must have. Most of the ships cost real dollars, but theyre also not mandatory. They do offer up new challenges and replay value though.
A good shootemup. Just wish they didnt nerf the living crap out of the wide shot. We remember on Android, the whole screen was filled with bullets at maximum level. Quite a disappointment tbh.
Super dung game. Its a tad bit complicating to get a grip on but once you do you feel like neo dodging all those bullets! Would recommend this to anyone who is looking for something to put some hours into it or someone looking for a casual game.
As a long time fan of shmups/bullet hell games we have to say that not only is this the best mobile shmup ever released, but may be the best and most entertaining mobile game ever released, PERIOD! We commend the developer for not only making a game with amazing controls and graphics for the genre (but with an interesting design twist), but for also making the price points and AP system fair for the player!! Finally a game that actually rewards good skill with a reasonable amount of reward for leveling up items. Ive been so happy with the system that we gladly paid the money to release the locked ships just because we wanted to reward the developer. Amazing game play and boss designs, and difficulty that is just hard enough to drive you crazy on the hardest levels, usually when trying to complete the hardest tasks. Many developers could learn from you! Look forward to whats next and will gladly play it. Cheers.
We dont remember Cave now only Bullet hell monday.
Such a fun game with fantastic music and great way to pass time.
It's completely free and the ads are notnforced upon you. You have the option of watching them for free upgrade points and that's what they are, optional. There are upgrades that cost money but there is also an unlock all option for only $4. Way cheaper than buying everything separately. No problems with the game and it runs real smooth.
This game is t super in depth other than the very large number of upgrades and enemy types it a very classic game that can be rage Inducing sometimes but we honestly can find a better free bullet hell game on mobile and its better that 9 of the 11 payed bullet hell games and we cant believe how well they made it from the endless modes to the ridiculous leaderboard and challenges and the missions in quest that keep you trying again and again as to awaken your inner completinist or how ever you spell it but if you like hard games you should very well play this one 10/10 would reset and play again.
We never really found this genre of games to be that interesting until we downloaded this. Holy cow, this is a really addicting game with great controls and bright colors to help you easily distinguish everything in the game. We feel like this game is very under appreciated and should totally be played by more people.
update This latest update, adding iCloud support and an IAP to unlock everything was definitely needed. While we already unlocked everything, we were stuck with it all on our smaller iPhone screen. Now that we can move our save over to our iPad, we'll be playing this all the friggin time now. THANK YOU ITO!!!!! original review After Masayuki Ito's last game, .Decluser Zero, we kind of fell out of Bullet Hell games for a while. Granted, we still had around 10GB dedicated to them on our phone, we just never really played them anymore. Firi's Phoenix II did help a little, but it didn't really scratch that itch we were seeking. Then Bullet Hell Monday was released, and all of that changed. We were drawn back into the gaming genre we use to love so much. Even more surprising is that this was a F2P game doing this for us. Breaking the IAP down:;: There are 6 ships available in the game (all of which having different upgradable features/perks/powers). You're given 2 for free (laser and wide shot). The other 4 are only available through IAP. That's it. You get the entire game for free. No currency IAPs making you wonder if the game is intentially pushing you towards spending $$$ – the difficulty stays the same wether you purchase the ships or not (there are 2 difficulty levels for the mission stages and 4 for the challenge stages, or 'typical' shmup). Each ship does come with an added bonus. For instance, the Search type gives you 100% more currency after each stage (so does the Homing ship, and they stack, so if you purchase both of them, you get 200% more currency at the end of stages!). Shielding gives you an extra ship while Lock On gives you 10,000 currency to upgrade your ships with. Now for the game— There are 50 Chapter stages, each with around 8 objectives to complete. These range from killing x% of ships in a stage to taking no damage and using no bombs to scoring a certain amount, ect… About 1/3 of the objectives are ??????'s, so you'll have to figure them out for yourself, or maybe even look up some online (which was the case for us with a couple of them – we don't think we ever would have got them without help). To move on to the next Chapter stage, you'll need to complete a certain number of objectives from the previous stage (actually, you need to earn a certain number of experience points [basically] with each completed objective giving you experience). In the beginning it's not an issue, but as you move into the 3rd, 4th and 5th worlds, chances are you'll get stuck somewhere and have to go back and replay some previous levels. Which is fine, because the game rocks, and there's always some previous objectives you can go back and try to complete, using all the gained currency to upgrade your ship(s) and then go back and retry the stage you're stuck on. After you complete each Chapter world's 10 stages, you'll unlock a Challenge stage, which is like your 'typical' bullet hell level. You can play these in one of 4 difficulties, and once you unlock and beat all of them, you'll have access to the All challenge, which is all 5 challenge stages back to back. Personally, we love the way the progression in this game is handled, and how you basically end up with a straight up beautiful hardcore bullet hell shmup to compete for scores on, while knowing each and every one of the stages front and back by the time you get there (more transitions are added to the bosses as you ramp up the difficulty settings, which is also a huge plus). We really can not recommend this game enough. We're actually VERY surprised that the developer is giving this game away instead of charging an up-front price. THESE are the developers that are easy to want to support.
We have been playing this game for a few years now we originally had it on our iPhone but when we switched to a newer phone our progress got reset still enjoyed the game. We r8 8/8 m8.
You need skill to play. You have to try to see your ship become amazing. Im having fun.
When we first got into Bullet Hell, we decided to check out the App Store for a Bullet Hell Shooter, and we found this. Soon after, we were playing it, and the super smooth controls had us expecting every Bullet Hell shooter to have controls this smooth, and we found ourselves wondering how the heck you could dodge such a storm of danmaku without such precise controls. Also, we checked the Settings in-game, and we found that we have sunk 150 hours (and counting) into this game, and it sure was worth it.
Its basically the best game for relaxation.
Cheers to Bullet Hell Monday! All hail Bullet Hell Monday! It is fun and you shoot pew pew we love it :^) play the game.
