Ok so Im a major fan of visual novels and otome games and stuff like that, and we were looking for one on mobile bc we were bored, and we found this. We saw the rating and we were skeptical, we mean 5/5 stars, we thought that was impossible, but then we played it. We couldnt stop laughing the entire time, and it was honestly one of the best games we’ve played. This definitely deserves the 5/5 stars it got, and honestly we would give it extra stars if we could.
It was so good we literally stayed up til two am to finish it!!!!!!! We hope the creator makes more games / stories / whatever in the future :D.

We love playing visual novels! Its one of our favorite hobbies ever. But, the thing is we get bored really fast. So, sometimes a few minutes into the game we lost interest and delete it. This is NOT happen with Butterfly Soup. Saw Gloom play this and gave it a shot. We were hooked!!! This story is so funny, touching, heartwarming, real, and relatable. We have nothing but praise for this. One of our favorite video games ever. This game and its second game is awesome!!!! We were really invested in every single one of the characters and their life. We feel like we could see the characters be actual people you know not just this video game character. We love all of them so much and this game just holds a special place in our heart. If anything, please check this out and play it :))))))

We never liked story games or just in general stories in games. We would always skip them. But we randomly came across this app and saw that every review was positive so we gave it a try. We spent 2 hours nonstop reading because its just so entertaining!! We love the characters and how realistic they are. And we had a few laughs from it. Good job on this story.

We think it was so worth playing. We saw it in the recommended when we were looking for games and we downloaded it. Its pride month and we are Bi-sexual and half Japanese so it was a must get for us. We honestly loved it and it was so funny. Lots of bad words but other than that it was terrible fun and cute. We loved the end and we think it should be more popular and played. We just finished our first play through of this game and we LOVE IT! We cant even put into words how much fun this game was. The characters, the heartwarming scenes, the memes, everything was so amazing! This is definitely a game we will be replaying a lot!

This game is just an absolute amazing storyline we love how it gives different perspectives and as well show how supporting some people may be and how weird but also protective friendship may be and honestly we just love how it all turned out the art of this game is just amazingly done we do wish there was more but thats just our own opinion since the game and story was just amazingly planned out we have no other words to express this amazing game we just absolutely love it especially the future cutscene this game is personally a top 10 for me.

We loved playing this so much!! We had so much fun exploring the game and, not gonna lie, the characters are really cute The storyline got us hooked from the start and we could not put it down. Just ask our best friend! We were texting her screenshots of the story as we played because we always share things we love with each other, and we LOVE BUTTERFLY SOUP!!!! Hands down the best game we’ve ever played (even though it was more of a story than game but thats what we loved about it which we guess is the point because its a novel game) its super fun and engaging and we just fell in love with the game the first few minutes we played Amazing game. This is an amazing game but what did the App maker use to make this game?
We dont usually write reviews, and rarely after we’ve just finished a game. But this game was such a great time that we needed to say something! We’ve never been particularly interested in visual novels before, but this one is special. It feels like a love letter to queer women and afab folk, with genuine heart and humor. Occasionally a scene will be very impactful, as a queer woman who grew up in the 2000s a shocking amount in this game was familiar. Each character is sweet and fleshed-out, their provided backstories are crushing and realistic, and their dynamics are fun to watch and read. The dialogue occasionally drags on too long, but that is to be expected with teenage dialogue steeped in meme culture. We could have played hours and hours of this game. This is the start of something incredible, we have just barely tasted the beginning and Im already hungry for more. We cannot recommend this delightful interactive experience enough. Our highest compliments to all those on the team, and hope you make more!

As you can see from the title, 6/5 !! If we could we would legit rate this a 6 not even kidding. The characters and story are great. Plus we like the parts when you get to interact with their 2004 and 2008 world. We love Diyas and Mins relationship they are so cute and we want to see if Noelle and Akarsha ever rlly become better friends if there is ever a Butterfly Soul 2 !! We also would want to see everyones adult life now considering what happens at the end we dont wanna spoil too much yk :) This game is amazing and Im so thankful that its free we would definitely recommend playing if you want to play a game of sapphic and queer Asian Americans.
We havent played much of this but we already love it <3 The only problem is the audio, its kind of quiet. Other than that, we personally dont have any problems :)
We’ve played this game at least through at least 28 times. (Ive had it for less than a week.) The only thing we want is someone like min. Diya and us are so similar, and theres a girl we know whos just like min and we want something like them so bad.
