We are very impressed with the background jazz!
We’re so happy to finally see a game with a Black protagonist. Hopefully this won’t be the last. But enough editorializing, this was a great game. So now we’re on a mission to purchase all Mad Head games because we haven’t played a bad game by them yet.
Great music, story, thoughtful puzzles whole 9. Refreshing to see diversity in the heroin being a positive young black gal. #Awesome.
The actual game mechanics were a little basic but the story made sense, the music was good and the various puzzles HOPS were also creative – liked the bridge switches etc. Also liked the African American characters and the carry on story line from the other Cadenza story. Wish newer games as creative.

The art work, the music, the puzzle style is extremely enjoyable.
Wish the new games arent so dark. We cant see some of the scenes. All the new games are like this.
This game has the highest production value we’ve seen in a while–beautiful bright colorful art, actually has good voice over acting, (love the raspy voice of the male lead!) interactive map that you don’t really need to use because there’s not a lot of ridiculous back and forth, intriguing plot, really great music, labeled inventory, a back button, and creative gameplay. Really draws you into the world. Haven’t finished yet, but so far, this is one of our favorites.
One of the best games we have played in a long time. Nice break from mythical monsters and paranormal. Loved the music , characters and games. The scenes with Hidden objects were extremely well done.
The music is great. We’ll gladly pay $6.99 for a game featuring a black couple and portrayed in good taste. A shout of bravo to Big Fish Games. Keep them coming. Thanks!
How did we miss this game in 2015!? We played it for the first time in November 2018 and was stunned at its high quality. Unbelievably clever, cool music. Innovative HO games. Intriguing storyline. Interesting characters. We’ve not seen anything to match this game in innovation across the board, and we’ve been playing games for nearly a decade. Perhaps the developers tweaked some things recently? From beginning to end, a winner. We’re holding onto this one.

Wanted to keep playing! Very addicting! We thought once you paid the money though,that you got to keep playing and playing we didnt know it only included a bonus game. That was the only issue we had!

It had great graphics, really good music and a good story. Was actually lovely to see a black woman as the main character. We’ve played these games over the years and we’ve never had a character that looked like us! Well done. We took our time with it. The hidden object you search every scene for were especially challenging to find!

We didnt like how long it took to skip a mini game but the scenes were breathtaking and the story held our interest the whole time. Has a very modern vibe to the game.

This is one of best games so far…. We’ve played a lot of Big Fish games and this one is definitely in the top ten… Especially if your like us and our completely over witches, dragons, etc…. Also stay away from Haunted Hotel series there is something with them some kind of glitch…

A black female detective with a hunky black male interest! Way to go! It’s about time we crossed the color line with a great game–and this is a wonderful game. The story is great and the music is fantastic. Turn the sound up! It’s set in New Orleans with all the cultural flavor of the city. The artwork is authentic and beautiful. We really hope the developers consider a sequel. Very well done.
We liked this game a lot. The story was great and it was fun. The reason we gave it 4 stars is because we didnt like that there is no custom difficulty setting. If Im not understanding or just want to pass a mini game we would like for the skip to quickly work. Same thing with the hint button its just too slow.
Well we enjoyed playing this game, even with our pre-teen sons. Entertaining enough for our attention but not gory or content too mature which would have needed some explaining. All in all great but short and rather quick to get through.. Especially @ $4.99, we tend not to purchase many games like those cause when your done it’s done. We only played the sample game, but it seems to be a good, but simple, game. The only thing lacking is a map. The progression seemed logical, but it wouldn’t let us go back to a previous scene to look for the "ticket" that we missed. We’re not really sure if we liked it or not. It was a bit too simple, and there were too many scenes with dialogue that we just skipped over, as we always do. We want more HO scenes in our games.
The game was nice HOWEVER the preview was like 5 seconds and then they actually expect u to fork over seven dollars to keep playing! No thank you.
Standard game, won’t allow us to make changes to the difficulty. Couldn’t set the time between hints at all, defaults to the 90 sec. Even tried reloading the game. Not a bad game, but we don’t like games that aren’t working properly…
We really wanted to enjoy this, and whats not to like: Jazz, good storyline, great graphics, but one major bug really ruined it for us. When we play these, we like to customize our settings. However, the game wont let you – it reverts to the default no matter how man6 times you try. Really frustrating, and caused us to abandon the game, which is a shame.
We really was enjoying the game and went to purchase it at the 4.99 price yesterday. Purchased it and then it said we did not purchase only for the price to change mid stream to 6.99. What gives with that one BF.
Because we got cheated for $2.99. There are two of the same game in the store and this one did not work on our iPad after paying the in-app purchase. So we had to pay the same $2.99 for a new download of a different game. REFUND ME!
A total POS. Gives you a new objective every 30 seconds and you are tightly controlled in where you can go. We feel like someone is taking us by the hand every step of the game. Way too much dialogue- give it a rest already. It crashed on the way to the last hotel & won’t let us move anywhere. We’re not even going to bother to reload- it’s that bad.
We forgot to check, and purchased this game. It was already in our games list. It’s a GREAT game, but BFG just released it as if it was new. (Even with today’s date. We posted 5 stars the first time around. This one gets one star for trickery.

No longer recognizes our purchase (which is on record as being purchased in the App Store) even with restore purchase function. Unfortunately Big Fish has no support for its mobile games anymore. You take a gamble whenever you purchase.
They keep advertising that this game is 40% off, so $.99 until the end of Valentines Day. All the other games advertised are discounted, except this one. The price is still at the normal price, which is $3.99. We’ve bought and played almost every game from these guys, it would be nice to get a price break once.
The music and premise are good but it is not a well made game. Tends to be unresponsive.
Purchased this game but doesnt recognize the purchase and keeps crashing.
Skip and hint always stays at 90 seconds even though we set it to 15 seconds. We removed and reinstalled the game with the same results. Reported this to App Support but as usual they didnt respond. Please fix this. Im playing on an iPad.
There are two games: the free trial w in game purchase and the purchase up front, each with different sets of reviews, which makes no sense. And when attempting to review unknowingly via the paid first game, we were refused – saying we hadn’t paid for it. We just find it interesting that this game site is more negative than the others. Whatever. We actually enjoyed the first Cadenza MUCH more than this one. And like the majority of the newer games being put out, the graphics and storylines are greatly improved- yet that doesn’t even matter if the game is a contradiction of terms: slowly dragging on and on….. Yet time wise a pretty short game, especially on actual play time. Then there were the glitches found throughout the game. They were apparent in the very few ho/puzzles, yet most really weren’t either, they were mostly very rudimentary "matching games" -they were very childlike just dressed up as if they were more sophisticated, but they were far from it. The BIGGEST turnoff of the game: the fact that the majority isn’t a even a game- very little actual playtime. It’s about appreciating the graphics and in each well detailed scene – there’s barely any that actually include "active" scenes, an when they do, it’s maybe one … Two at the most. Another huge disappointment is that when it is interactive, it’s more about just "showing" animated scenes that are only "showing" what’s going on, and then talking with people… And running back and forth, …. Maybe to take in more scenery..??…. And the excessive hoop jumping just to get an object is ridiculous, especially when it’s not challenging, it’s boring/annoying and it seems like it’s just filler … Instead of really integrating anything really intelligent, creative, fun or again… Challenging. The back and forth to get the keys from the bar patron with the drink tickets/drinks is a perfect example, and the lock-picking, which is already so "been there/done that" – has the potential to be super fun and challenging, but was quite the opposite, the worst one yet. Bottom line is, that given all the talent, time, effort and thought put in to this games graphics there should’ve been just as much put into the actual playtime and focused on the users expectations, excitement and most importantly on challenging the player – this game is simply the smoke and mirrors of a really stellar game but underneath it’s anything but. Ps – Please start focusing on producing truly OUTSTANDING games- maybe by allowing a wider range of test players to give honest feedback and insight about these games in order for the changes/editing needed to take place prior to release. Thanks. They certainly aren’t target the average player: adults. We were painfully reminded when I’d be impressed by the beautiful crisp graphics,
