Cat Museum Reviews

This game is the perfect example of taking scary themes and mixing them with something cute like cats. We honestly loved this game and the art style reminds us of dont starve together Good game 10/10 Please make a number 2.

We absolutely loved this game. The art was fascinating and often disturbing but in a good way for us. The puzzles were interesting and required careful looking which we liked. We have immediately downloaded the developers other game Life Gallery which we hope we like as much.

We love this game and just finished it on PC. So we immediately started looking for an iPhone version, found it! Only reason we took off one star, it’s because the game has no controller support. On a smaller screen, you want to have controller support to make things easier. Thanks!!

This game has our two favorite things in the world; Catsand Creepy!! Our only disappointment was the sadness of the story. Make more CREEPY! Make more CATTY!! Do not stop creating, or we SWEAR we will punch a kitten!

We never leave reviews for games but we were legit sobbing at this game. Its so good. The story is short but the puzzles and look of the game are so incredible. We genuinely loved the whole thing and Im so glad we were able to experience this.

We have never left a review on the App Store but this game really got to us! Absolutely beautiful game, definitely had some creepy moments which we loved, the graphics were so unique and detailed. We felt the story in our heart, SPOILERS: we recently had a pet die and this really helped us work through that! Amazing game all around, the puzzles were challenging and fun, very interesting gameplay! 10/10!!!

We will preface by saying that Im the type whos stressed and likes to have relaxing game experiences and we dont particularly enjoy a challenge. We really like the art and the game so far, but Im stuck at a point where we need to get a key and get in to a door(or perhaps something else) before Im eaten, and we have tried so many times Im about to delete this game lol. Maybe not for us sadly.

We dont leave a lot of reviews but this game deserves one. We really enjoyed the art. It was very creative and enjoyable to see. At least for us. The developers have a wonderfully vivid and rich imagination. We loved the cats. Especially the glowing cat. As mentioned in previous reviews, there were a couple of puzzles that really didnt give enough clues, hints or idea how to solve them. It was just a stroke of luck that we solved them. For the most part we could figure out the puzzles and they were fun. The story is quite emotional. That caught us a bit off guard but again, that was part of the enjoyment of this game. We would have been disappointed if we knew from the start what the exact story line would be. This is an absolutely wonderful game. We certainly hope you have more games coming out soon. We for one will be highly anticipating them. Thank you for this wonderful game!

It seems increasingly rare for creative, original indie games to surface on the App Store, but this is one of them and it deserves your attention. The art style is unlike any other game we’ve seen: nightmarish but at the same time oddly beautiful. Its a linear game with easy puzzles, but the important part is the exploration. Hope to see more from this developer!

Great game.. The art, we love. The colors so vivid. Great game! No regrets.

Yes this game was good and so was life gallery, but theyre extremely short. Its annoying how quickly you can get through them. Like we understand having to pay for a game that we can continue to play for a long time but for a game you can complete in a hour, its not worth it we feel ripped off.

We really enjoyed about 95% of this game, but one very frustrating aspect convinced us to delete the game without completing. While the art throughout is weirdly beautiful and evocative (to say the least), and while the concept is compelling, the cat-scratch puzzle is wholly infuriating. After spending nearly fifteen minutes trying to successfully pass the test (and consulting three different online walkthroughs for help), we finally made it past. Then, to our horror, we had to do the same obnoxious task AGAIN?? At that point we deleted the game without finishing. Developers: Please take out the second iteration of the scratching puzzleif not both. The rest of the game is evidence that you have the talent to do so much better!

The art style of the game is unique and nice to look at for us and the puzzles were pretty easy to solve with a few exceptions. Im always looking for cat games to play and this one caught our eye immediately. It doesnt take too long to get through with the game, only a couple hours at most in one sitting, but it is a very enjoyable experience during that time. We get to follow the story of a boy and his memories and the ending was super nice. The team working behind this did an amazing job and we cant wait to see what they put out in the future! (`)

We love games that seem cute and perfect on the outside but are creepy and have their own kind of lore. This game fulfilled that perfectly when we finished it we were so sad because it was so fun! It has really tricky puzzles and a backstory that comes in during the cut scenes we would 10000% recromend this game to anyone.

It was a fun game. Mostly just a lot of tapping and trying to find something that activates. Sometimes, when there is too much surrealism, a game or puzzle loses logic. Like, we still dont know how we passed the puzzle of the conjoined twins. But hey, maybe it was kick, lol. But we didnt find this game difficult at all… But then we play a ton of adventure style games. And it was about an hour of game play. And tbh, the artwork is just not our style. Seems like everyone tries to be trendy and unique nowadays… But all that ends up happening is a weird trip into someones psychedelic dream-like fantasies. Modern art has destroyed anything beautiful and inspirational. Artists really need to know that theyve been lied to… Artwork is NOT subjective. There is no subjective beauty in a slap of paint. Thats just a lie to convince people they should only aspire to a slap of paint on a canvas. At least the artists didnt go down the violent, bloody satanic art that most games seem to fall into nowadays. All in all, Im glad we purchased/played it. If anything, its important to us to support devs who create games that arent just mindless tap-tap-tapping games… Which seem to be 99% of the app games out there. Cheers.

Lovely art and story, fun puzzles. We would write a more in-depth review, but our brain is fried today, so; just know that its a pretty darn good game.

Did a review when there werent any yet, but never sent. TL;DR: Straightforward mostly. A little confusing at end. Photo puzzle is a pain, but not if u figure out its actually VERY easy. A lot to look at. Very colorful. MOVIE quality. More a sad story in following boys cutscenes than just grotesque, but still fun with elements/puzzles full of weirdom like Life Gallery and in vein of Rusty Lake, Forgotten Series, etc. Stand-alone that doesnt require knowing devs other game, tho appearances of characters n things from it do show up in puzzles and scenery, if ur familiar with it. GLITCH: Screen sat on cat just sitting in box and game wouldnt move on after 2nd time we did photo puzzle and after his toy broke on box. Only knew there was more of game, cuz Id seen it b4 putting game down after exhaustion from getting thru photo puzzle 1st time. Had to go to home screen n start again, do photos 3rd time and after opened box, it took us to boy in big room again afterward. LONG REVIEW: If u play these bizarre, psychedelic, fan of Rusty Lake, Forgotten series, or just a fan of point and click in generalthis is 5 star easily, tho fairly straightforward and tells u where to go – until the end. The photos puzzle!! Grrrr we literally spent more time on that one puzzle than twice overall time of entire game. Very confusing!! Once we got it, we got to the rest of game. We needed a break and in just minutes, it had RESET. Opened game to room n had to snap photos AGAIN! 2nd time took only a few minutes as we figured out secret that we wont give, but MUCH easier than it appears. But we hit a glitch! The cat wouldnt leave the box after his toy broke, and just looked around. Knowing there was more cuz 1st time, we had no choice but to close to continue, and redo photos a 3rd time, taking about 5 seconds. Lol The ending IS overall very confusingand well, a sad part of game we hoped thru cutscenes during game was NOT going to be true. Sad if thats what it meant, tho redeemed a bit by ALL the cats at end. Everytime u think its over its not. Also the credits run like a movie quality ending. Extra effort was put into this game and it will be worth at least another run just to look at all the scenery/things u miss if u speed thru the game like we did. **NOTE TO DEVELOPERS REGARDING MY INABILITY TO ACCESS MY PAID FOR LIFE GALLERY (a definite 5 star game as well, which is why Im all the more upset!) Id of shelled out .99¢ more for the diff cats in CAT MUSEUM, but Life Gallery is showing we havent paid for it and we DID. A few yrs ago!! We mustve done a lite version back then and bought full version thru it, which no longer exists or its just not showing we own it. But we know we paid and played to end of it twice before, n really wanted to replay, but CANT! Not the 1st dev to do this, when u offer maybe a lite version, then pay for full version thru that and it is removed from App Store. Maybe just wont recognize as it was a few yrs ago but we know it wasnt on an old acct or anything.

It took us just a day but it had a cute story and fun puzzles. The few puzzles at the end were a bit too confusing for us honestly so we had to look them up but other than that we were able to figure it out on our own and enjoy the story and secrets behind each mystery.
