What Makes Character Gen for 1st Ed DnD Stand Out
This Character Generator allows you to create 1st Edition (Advanced DnD) characters and print out the player sheet, including the back sheet. It also allows the creation of custom magic items for use in your campaign. You can level up your characters, and equip them with standard gear from the Player's Handbook or the Dungeon Masters Guide. We love this app and use it quite a bit to make NPCs for our campaign. We do wish it had half orcs, and maybe the ability to add our own spells. Thanks.
Very nice. We were going to enter our players characters for our new 1e campaign but it would not let us select cleric for a gnome character. We realize that they were only allowed as NPCs in the original Players Handbook (page 14) but no one has played it that way in forty years.
We have playing advanced DnD for a year and a half. We were very lucky on our rolls with our group so we could work on being a bard after we completed at least 5 levels of being a fighter though we opted to hit level 7 and then we need to switch to thief the app does not have a way for us to multi class or am we missing that option? Also where is the comeliness stat that was tragically our only 18 stat but would love for the effect to be shown on our charisma. Also: Would love a way to send a message to the creators in the app or on the help page but didnt see that either so Im posting it here. Please add multi class options. Let us keep track of our bard to be! Would be a 5 if this were remedied.
This app is missing a remove spell or reset spells button from spell using classes.
We guess we shouldnt complain to much, its the only 1E character generator out here.but for $3, it should be way better.
Lots of us prefer the older editions over the newer medieval superheroes editions, so it was sheer joy to find a 1e generator and even more so, one as user friendly as this one.
Would be 5 stars if the levels werent messed up. Cannot set monk to level 3.
Very nice to see a 1e gen for iPhone. Heres hoping we get some UA options soon. Keep up the good work.
Not many Character Generators out there for older editions. And this user friendly. Great app.
