We love chess and if we had to get a new phone we will not get No other app this app is our best one we been playing for 10 years thank you.
We downloaded the app, but dont see a way to pay to stop the very annoying adds.
Chess is a good thing to learn, it teaches kids to think ahead, to look before they leap.
Ive been practicing in chess and trying to get better but the easy mode is extremely hard for us. Its frustrating us and like others have said if you could make it a bit easier, that make a five star game. Other than that its a GREAT chess game, theres nothing better than a board but this is for sure second in playing chess.
Give us a couple of winning opportunities this is bad for our ego.
Three because there should be a practice mode because the easy mode is more of a medium mode.
Still harder than we expected especially on the easy level.
We are about to remove this from our unit with the constant foolish ads.
The easy setting is like hard for us.
The easy mode on this is like the medium or hard difficulty on chess.com. We are not the best at chess but we play every now and then and we assumed the other reviews were exaggerating but they werent. Dont get this unless you are really good at chess.
They say its fun but when a new player downloads this game its extremely hard and Im a new player so Im writing this review and also please add different characters that have different difficultys.
The number of ads in this game is enough to delete it, but the AI is the worst aspect. The moment you take any sort of lead (material or position, really) it goes into grand master mode and absolutely dominates youmaking the arbitrary difficulty levels nonexistent past one or two moves. There are literally hundreds of other chess apps available, and we cant imagine any of them being worse than this one.
This game would always let black go backwards and white (us) would not and when we wanted to take the powerful peices of like the queen or a bishop it would not let us im mad about this and we would like it changed Happy day! L.
So the problem l kind of have about the game is that the beginner level is hard and frustrating because l am a beginner in chess and our friend just taught us so please would you guys make the beginners level easier thank you.
We hate the app because it has an insane amount of ADS.
Easy is very hard, we cant imagine how hard expert would be, this game is horrible.
So we downloaded this chess game but we never played chess before so ITS PRACTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE!!!!! (People who dont Play Chess DONT DOWNLOAD ANY CHESS GAMES or if Someone in real life challenges you to chess DONT ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE.
We cant believe ppl are one staring this the developers are responding with each one too which we love but anyway this chess is very good.
We enjoyed this, one of the best.
The "one player" option could use a "beginner" setting below the current "easy" setting. We are a complete novice, and even the "easy" setting has been very frustrating and discouraging for us. The game works well–no flaws, good graphics, makes clear the options. If you already have some chess ability, we're sure it's great. We might keep trying a little longer, but constantly getting pummeled by the so-called easy opponent isn't as much fun for us as playing against another beginner would be. However, we do want to acknowledge that the game seems well designed in general. It allows for one- or two-player play at more than one level; it looks and sounds nice; and the limitations on moves are clearly communicated.
So we downloaded this game and it is so bad. We tried to get a checkmate. Yet it forces the other player move the king out of the way. So you cant kill the king it makes us so mad.
We play online at chess.com at around 1200-1500 Elo depending on blitz rapid etc. Simply downloaded to play during a long flight with no WiFi and the AI is insane even on easy. Luckily we had another chess game we were able to play offline. For newcomers and beginners there much better chess games with more gradual AI difficulty.
Literal y You need haces to win.
If youve been playing chess for more than a week you understand the need for castling this cant do it.

Pawns Always can move 2 squares on their first turn NOT 2nd row. And thats why we give you 2 stars not 4.
First, the game was a draw when we had soOoOO many pieces and all they had was a king, so theres that! Second, we dont know how to play with our family (and friends) so can you tell us how to do that And Third, there are SOooOoOoOooOoOoO many ads! You have to watch an ad to play, to change your settings, and probably more.
AWSOME game no ads needed but there are ads if you press a thing.

It forces the queen on you every time you promote, sometimes it can result in a stalemate, which is exactly why we may need either in most cases a rook or knight instead. Easy mode, despite dropping pieces earlier and then playing much better later in the game, is actually ELO 540 strength. You can leave the bait to give you a skewer or fork, and it will usually take it, which was how we won a lot of games at this level.
How do you save the board editor thing.
When we are able to check checkity check them, the king kills us. BUT WHEN we GET CHECK CHECKITY CHECKED, we CANT KILL THEM.
The things we need are not for us but for our family youre bed time is a blessing honey is golds birthday.
This game is good to play but is hard to win because the queen mores to much and is always a draw.
We love this game! Its good for all ages! We love the different choices for different style pieces. It would be better though if you wouldnt have just anime backgrounds. Solid colors would look better.

Game is challenging. In fact too challenging for us. The 3 star computer opponent beats us every time. We would like to try a 2, 1 or no star opponent.
We like how quick the app moves and the display. We would like to be able to set our level down a notch.
This game is sharp & quick. Problem for us is level of difficulty is way to hard or just to easy, either way it doesnt produce the most competitive game.

STOP CALLING DRAWS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GAME.
This app wont even let us do any castles whenever Im trying to do a London system we are trying to cancel but for some reason wont let us.
We dont stand a chance against our three (3) star opponent. Im a DAV trying to improve our health. We would appreciate at least a close match, maybe even a win!!?!! Thanks we hope you will change our opponent, it would be a shame to leave because the game is rigged.

The very easy mode is extremely easy, however as soon as you move to easy mode it goes crazy and makes the exact perfect move every time giving us absolutely no chance of beating it.
