This is a great program we have been using it for a year and it is challenging enough for us to understand.
This may turn out to be our favorite of the several Chess King Apps that we picked up today (during an orgy of gratitude that such apps even exist!) Started from the beginning. Found a position on the screen. Took a second to figure out how to conveniently rewind — then play back through — the game, back up to the first shown position (at which a blunder had occurred). Gazed at the screen and tried to figure out how to refute the blunder. Got some feedback on our choice. Realized that going through ALL the available positions should prove to be a wonderful supplement to the tactics practice we were already starting to get from the also terrific Chess Art app. Unfortunately, our regular chess opponents will likely discover these wonderful apps someday, too.
We enjoyed and got a lot out of the examples. Will buy it!!!
It would be a five star review, but sometimes when you get a tactic wrong it highlights some pieces in either red, yellow or green. No where does it explain what this means so when we see it Im left asking what is this supposed to mean?
Great concept Poor presentation.
The best thing about this is the availability of many different levels so one can find exercises to challenge in self with but st the same time not je stumped by. This is what we love about this app and it seems like there are enough apps to keep our busy for a very long time. Highly recommended!
We’ve been using Chess King apps for over 2 months now. We used to like CT-Art 4 on PC but it was waaaay too clumsy and required constant internet access to the server which was odd. In addition to this app we’ve been using Chess tactics 1400-1600 on our iPhone and CT-ART on our iPad. Really beautiful stuff with explanations and animations. Recommend you download the free version then buy the whole app. Explore other King Chess apps. Again , this is an excellent training choice. FYI , for regular games against iphone try Chess Pro Coach.
