We write software, and we cannot think of anything that would make this app better Were using it to train 4-yr-olds. We set the pieces up on a chessboard (Holding the pieces accelerates learning) The feature Analyze is fantastic! (It shows why material-gaining puzzles have been solved) Oh! One more thing! They dont know that theyre also learning how to create puzzles.
We like the simplicity of this app, and that each day offers new puzzles. Its nice to be able to play puzzles without worrying about your rating. Only thing that we would change, is the sound of the pieces moving. Could be more natural, less harsh sounding.
Whats wrong with this app? Nothing! You get a huge variety of chess puzzles, and at a difficulty you chose. You need a hint? Its there! And then there are the daily puzzles. Easy, Medium, and Hard. These puzzles are now part of our morning routine. That, and coffee. Buy all the extra puzzles. We did. Its well worth the money.
Great way to get a little chess thinking in during periods of time when you have to wait. Car repair, doctors office, etc.
This app made us rage quit so many times, but when we went to chess tournaments, it really paid off.
This game is not only good for your pattern recognition, its also good for memorization.

Great little app with 6 puzzles. We do the 6 every day. The analysis button gives a lot of insight. 5 stars.
The puzzles are wonderful. Love the ability to see what moves an ai competitor would make when you move different pieces around. Would love to see an option for the app to be able to move itself when the analyze feature is enabled. But its a great app regardless.
We dont get to play much but this app helps us keep our skills sharp.
Some of the puzzles are difficult to figure out by non-experts. A Mate position is easy to identify but some of the puzzles dont even capture anything and any positional accomplishment is not immediately apparent to players with less experience.
The most improvement Ive seen in our game but its not imo for beginners levels unless u can follow with more awareness than ourselves. But after we were 1000 or just under rating it sharpened our eye and ability a ton.

We have been solving the daily puzzles on this app for nearly 3 years now. Great variety and often challenging. No ads and great engine for analysis that can be toggled with the click of a button.

Tactic #339 in easy puzzles is bogus where the opponent makes a blunder on the second move, thats not really how this works. Most tactics are pretty solid though. Would be awesome to tag and sort on tags. That way we could wood pecker.

We really like the fact that you can play the puzzle out to see the end results. There are other apps out there that leave less advanced players more puzzled after solving the problem. This one you can see the end result. Definitely helps with understanding this complex game.
Nice free app overall. It often generates great tactical solutions and thought processes that stimulate a complete new way of thinking and understanding the game.
Some of these puzzles have issues with making sense. Dont get us wrong we are a long time player and its our favorite game to play! Just some of the puzzles solutions have glitches or holes.
The puzzles are frustratingly fun. We do wish they would tell you if youre just trying to improve or find checkmate.
We are no chess genius. But todays daily puzzle (easy) called for white to mate in 1 move. The only way to check the king was with the knight. But the solution required the knight to move where a pawn could take it. This has happened before.
Its a great app we think its good for those who cannot afford money to buy chess games and they still wanna learn chess but its missing En Passant which is a really affecting on some games.
The update crashes the app and wont even open. We like the daily puzzles but now we cant even use it. Please fix thanks.
Ive had this a short time, but we use it daily. No complaints so far.
One feature we really like that we havent seen on other puzzle apps is if we are stuck on a puzzle, we can ask for a hint and the piece that needs to move is highlighted, and then we can keep working on the puzzle.
Having an app dedicated solely to chess puzzles makes solving the chess puzzles much more fun. We love that there are six daily puzzles easy medium and hard puzzles. Being a beginner starting with the easy puzzles and then progressing to the harder ones is a nice way to exercise our visualization skills. Thanks so much for the app.
We have enjoyed using this app for practice in helping us improve our ability in seeing possibilities through the variety of scenarios presented. We do have one concern, which is that the night time feature doesnt turn off during the day. Overall, this is a wonderful app.

We enjoy sitting down and doing chess puzzles. Even thought, its A great app for chess puzzles. Its very hard to understand how it helps in the position. We hope that there would be A explanation bar on the side, or something. So Im able to understand the position more. Otherwise this app is A great, its helpful to see patterns in real games. Also its easy to use. Unlike most apps, this actually has puzzles, thats good.
We love Chess.com &, we cant play offline, or do puzzles offline while on an airplane. CTP is great for offline play and training. Our boredom on our last few flights has improved our game. Love solving puzzles on an airplane.

So far from a beginner standpoint this is the most well established app for newbies trying to do more chess puzzles most apps have some paid subscription thing, this doesnt you can do as many as you want and they have daily puzzles and well easy medium and hard, we have been using this religiously and see a big difference in our chess play online! Good work.
Although there are some puzzles that arent clear advantages, and some where there are more than one good move, overall a very good learning aid.
Paid is only a few bucks and you get hundreds of puzzles. But we used the free version over a year and loved it. This app is probably 90% responsible for our improvement in chess over the last several years. Just 5 to 10 minutes a day helps keep you sharp.
So many different scenarios to analyze and practice. Each one helps build your skill set and helps you learn to think several moves ahead. If you are already a master, this may not be challenging enough for you. But masters are a smaller percentage of all the people who already play or want to learn to play chess.

Hate to offer a suggestion because we love the app. Noticed that occasionally some puzzles have solutions that do not really foresee a winning ending. Would like to see the same surprising and exciting solutions we have been seeing also be accompanied by a clear and decisive winning position.
