We absolutely love this game! We love the fact that theres no ads first of all, and at first we thought it was just a so-so game and we didnt really understand it but the more we played it the more we learned how to strategize and where to put our chips and that we needed to make longer chains to get better scores and more gems with each game. We love the fact that you can get a lot of gems with each game so you can go to the shop and get new cards and we also love it that they give you a brand new set of cards with each game along with a free one in the shop. You get 3 chances to redo a chip placement if you didnt like where you played it, or for us- our thumb slipped and it accidentally placed the chip where it wasnt supposed to go. ALSO we usually dont like timed versions of a game, but there is a 2 minute timed game that Ive been playing and really enjoying. To the creators of this game- THANK YOU! Because we recently broke our foot, and this has helped us pass the time while laid up in the healing process. You deserve a GOLD star, er, a GOLD CHIP, for creating one of the simplest and best games in the App Store!! Sheila.
Im so glad we finally found this old game! It still works flawlessly for us. No issues at all. And no ads. We happily made an IAP just to thank the developer for doing such a fantastic job with this app. (Older reviews mention IAP not working, but it worked fine for us. Also, they are optional only.) Its great to have a thinking match game thats a challenge but not at all frustrating, and with so many play options. The design is gorgeous, sophisticated, not childish. We actually want people to see us playing it because its just so cool. Its also great on battery, and progress is always saved so you can jump in and out anytime. Thank you developer! You did absolutely everything right with this game, in every way. This will stay on our phone.
We've played many mobile games in our (admittedly short) life, but Chip Chain is the first time that, when asked, is solid enough to write a review for. Addictive, fun, and it isn't mindless. It actually requires using some logic, and it isn't one of those crappy games you'd see underneath a Family Guy clip on TikTok or Youtube Shorts. We will say we don't really like how it locks game modes for certain days, but honestly we kinda like it at the same time because it keeps things fresh and new. If you really don't like it, you can use in game currency to git rid of the limitations. Adless, no required micro-transactions to remove limits, and a whole lot of fun. Good job Chip Chain.
Fun simplistic game with no ads. Great for brain training and idle evening game to slow down. Dont trust the leaderboards, theyll place your score in top ten.

A fun and polished game, have had it for a long time. It does seem that the in-app purchases are broken now. Hope it will see an update or a sequel some day.
We spent easily 100+ hours playing this game in 2012-14. The perfect pickup and play in bursts game. Glad to see it updated to live on. Hope the devs do further updates to the game.
The options to buy in-app purchases doesnt work.
You can't buy the gems to upgrade or buy new games within the game. At least not on our iPhone sx. Other then that it's one of our favorite games. Please fix this.

We have a very short list of "free to play" games and this is at the top of it. Great feeling controls, quick play, simple and complex at the same time, meaningful unlocks and modes, and the monetization scheme is completely humane. Get it.
Where are our 28875 gems- scam we paid for the full unlock and then we start running into limits on what numbers we can play, we have to pay to use higher numbers. We thought we had unlocked the game. Now they want more money.
Really amazing and thoughtfully designed game. Don't clear numbers as fast as you can; create clusters so clearing one set provides a hight number near others of the same higher number! An advantage over Triple Town is that you can choose where the numbers merge together (merges happen when you tap a number, rather than when chips are placed; the number tapped is where the higher chip from the merge appears).
We really like this game. The power ups are nice, but can you please, please add more game modes.
We had trouble with the audio but customer service told us how to reboot the app. Our sound is back and we've had no problem since then. We play this often to kill time while we are on boring phone calls. Of course we turn the volume down for that. :-).

This is a very challenging and fun game. You can play the game in short or long sessions and the more you play, the better you get. The devs are still active as well and are quick to answer any questions.
