Choice of games has quality content and you get what you pay for. All of the stories are so engaging and its the most fun we’ve had on an app in a long time.

CoG has great variety, even within just the free games. We played for free for several months without getting bored, and eventually purchased some games not out of necessity because of exhausting the free options but just because we were interested. Theres many different authors, but generally consistent quality through all of the games. We havent sampled any that were legitimately awful, but some are particularly stand-out. A personal (free!) favorite of ours is Death Collector. Theres a new game roughly every 1-2 months. The ones that have come out recently havent interested us personally, but theres enough backlog of content that we still use the app regularly. Most of the games also have great replay value, but again, some definitely do this better than others. A tip: if you want to save 50-or-so cents on a game, create an account and purchase the game from their website. That way, you pay the sticker price and avoid the app-store tax. The app then lets you restore purchases and the game will be available on the app. Uses very little storage space, which is a plus. Runs great, we havent had any crashes or major bugs (and we have a pretty old and janky device.) The only thing we would want changed would be the way ads are given on free novels- you have to watch 1 ad to enter a novel and 1 ad to continue. Because of the timer between chapters on free novels, functionally this makes each novel have 2 ads to play each chapter. If 2 ads is the minimum that they can play per chapter to get enough revenue to run the app, thats annoying but understandable. But they could have the 2 ads play automatically each time a new chapter is started and skip the farce of only needing to see one and also allow you to continue playing an ongoing chapter without watching another ad each time you open the novel.

It has some good stories, but there needs to be better free ones, wish we could read more but Im broke.

Been playing this on and off since we were a kid lol our only complaint is that the app isnt entirely dark with dark mode turned on so thats a little annoying.

We love this app, but please makes some more stories free. We understand that you need to make money, but we dont like to play creatures such as we and Nessie obligee (is that what theyre called?) over and over again. You can add more adds, but please make some more of the romance ones free.

As a long time user and HUGE fan of choice of games and hosted games the new updates to the app and how everything is layed out really puts us off from using this app ever again. Even more, as an old user of the app we’ve lost all access to all our previously purchased stories. Wanted to come back and restart but looks like choice of games isnt what it was when they first started.

We absolutely love this app. We wish it was a bit easier to know what was going on with stats and stuff. On browser it is pretty easy, but mobile its not. We also wish there was more games that didnt cost much. Still love it. XOXO Enna!

Hi, its a really great app playing for a few months we are blind so its a very good game for visually impaired but one suggestion now the ants sometimes are not in voiceover accessible. We have to keep closing the app and re-open and re-opening it to find the right ad that we can close on the Voice Over, please make ads voiceover accessible.

We read all the books we were interested in two months ago we need more.

We absolutely love this app. Im playing Chronicon Apocalpytica right and and love how you can choose gender and whether you want romance or not, and also this ones written with enough historical accuracy to make a history nerd like us really really adore it. Im impressed and quite pleased with it, and really, if you consider youd buy a cup of coffee at about the same price as buying one of these games someones labored on for as long as these authors and creators have well, it kind of makes it even more worthwhile playing.

Hello! Before we begin, we are not slandering Choice Of Games in any way! They are amazing and the games they help produce are fantastic! We have been using them and Hosted Games for years! Here is the only issue and it isnt a huge deal. But when you want to buy a book/game from Hosted Games or Choice of Games. We implore you to buy it from their website ChoiceOfGames. Com. If you buy it off the app it wont show up on your Profile online. But if you buy it from the online store it will show up on both! If you keep a record of what you bought they will add it to your online account but it takes a while to get a response and for them to add it. Keep it up!

We really like the products this app gives you. You get to read two or three chapters for free for any book that is released to see if your going to like the book and mechanics the authors made; this is immensely helpful in choosing purchases and knowing you are going to enjoy them. There are lots of genres and even author categories (they are pretty good authors) to help you in your search of picking your favorite book/games out of the bunch. There even a free section, while most book will make you watch an ad to read still theres are a bunch of free books to enjoy. For beginners you should probably start with something to learn the mechanics like choice of dragon we also liked choice of the Vampire at first and both are free to play. Give the ap a try its frustration free and full of enjoyment. But befor you make a purchase do make an account just in case something happens. Our suggestion would be let us write reviews or give a link so we can support our favorite creators in making us our beloved content through the app for people that dont have social media. It would be nice to express our excitement and appreciation to some of the incredible authors that use this forum as a medium to give us there creations. Their are probably places out of this app to find them but we dont know where to look.

Its honestly a good app with amazing fun. Needs a little bit more stuff but it has some pretty amazing adventures.

This is a good app, but you should make all of your games available as stand alone apps. Android has had them for years. Take it from a former Android user. IOS should have them too.

Why does steam get new stories but this mobile app doesnt get any new stories that came out this month???

We wish they had more free stories.

We dont really comment on anything ever but we just have to say we LOVE this app. It has a wide range of stories all of which are long and super interesting. It adapts to your sexually, gender, and pronouns has a diverse cast of characters all without sacrificing story. While you do have to pay for a lot of the games it is worth it as you can play it multiple times and even if you dont want to do you can always play free games which are also really good. For free games we would suggest Hollywood visionary, choice of deathless, and Noblesse Oblige. If you have a couple of bucks to spare we absolutely adore Crme de la crme and the fog knows your name. Though there are a couple of things such as having to restart every time you mess up and go back all the way to the beginning, their should be checkpoints through out so thats not as much of an issue. But, if you are looking for a break from the other choose your own adventure stories featuring limited character creation options and limited freedom in choice then we highly suggest this game for you!

Im a huge sucker for this map and thrive off of playing a game where we can control how the main character turns out. We get to live through them and have our wildest dreams come true, like getting good grades in school. Only thing we have to critique is that we wish games were more frequently released, but honestly we prefer waiting months for an awesome game than to have a bunch of okay games during the same timeframe. Tell your authors that theyre awesome and that we love them!

There are a great variety of games on this app. They are mostly all written very well, and you can preview games before buying them or play the free games! They have a good reputation with creators as well.

Very interesting and well written stories. Good job!

Almost all the books are worth the money and the stories are amazing and you can tell a lot of effort was put into them zoo.

The text adventure games are fun, however, when Im done watching the ads, it is not allowing us to close them with voiceover on.

We love this game, and we understand the ads bring in needed revenue, but since the last time we played, there seem to be more ads than before. This is because, when we finish a chapter of a story, there is a 2 hour timer to play more. We close the story and wait, and when we come back, we have to play an ad to open the story again. Then, once the story is open, we have to watch ANOTHER ad to open the next chapter. Two in a row feels redundant. If they were just when we opened the story or between chapters Id understand, although having them when we open a story is annoying if we accidentally click out of a story and have to watch an ad to go back into it. Lastly, one of the ads that played was horrible and disturbing, depicting a cartoon woman cornered in an alleyway and the legs of the man cornering her as he dropped his pants. It then showed the woman pregnant. Its clear that was one of those cheap games that uses shock value to peddle their puzzle game and doesnt actually have that content in it (I looked at the reviews for THAT app) but we wish yall could perhaps screen the kind of ads you show, or perhaps report one, as there was no way to do that.

We were able to continue with a new chapter of a story for $1.99, but after we purchased, it charged us $4.99. App would get a much higher rating if it didnt falsely advertise.

This is a great site for those who love interactive games with a large story element. Essentially, these are novels where you get to make the choices of the main character! Choices offers some really great and engaging stories on here, both unpaid (with ads) and paid (although the better, longer stories are paid). We also recommend Hearts Choice for those that love games with a focus on romance. There are some games with romance on this general app, but the stories are tailored more to romance on Hearts Choice. Overall, great app! Plenty of wonderful interactive stories on offer!

Its a wonderful app, but we have this to say. Not to complain, or critique here, but are the ads really necessary? If we’re trying to play one of your games, and this goes for heart’s choice and honted games too, i’d rather not have ads pop up and make it impossible to read. Besides that, and the fact that we only get a sample of the game which means having to buy it later, its a great app. Money isn’t everything of course, we just wish the games weren’t expensive like they have been getting recently, we mean five to seven dollars?

We really wanted to like this app but there are a few things wrong. First: the logo looks like the sonnenrad. Thats a symbol used by ne0-n4zis and having something so similar on our screen creeps us out. Second: as far as we know, theres no way to disable ads entirely from the app. Thats very frustrating because having ads is very distracting and takes you out of the story. Third: there seems to be no way to have global dark mode on the app. You can put on dark mode for stories but the spots the adds take up will still be very bright. These are all fairly easy fixes so the app still has potential, but as it stands right now we cant see myself using it a lot.

Some of the stories from Choice of Games are not only encapsulatingly good, they are innovative and inspiring! Writers can submit their crafts to the company for publication and readers can access their novels at very reasonable prices. Our only concern is that some of their works lie outside this app ( our favorites being Zombie Exodus ). Its worth noting also that a purchase restoration isnt tying our account to them but they are so good, Ill pay for them twice if need be. The written treasures within await!

We love the variety of stories and that they have free trials. Always loved the books from this company so we are glad to play even more! However, we would like it if there was a save/load feature. We think that after you play through a story once normally, you should unlock a save/load feature to save and load the game at any point. It is annoying to have to restart the whole story every time we choose the wrong thing when we are trying to get achievements. Or instead of a save/load feature, maybe we could choose to go back to the beginning of the chapter or the last chapter or something. Also we wish we could leave/read reviews for individual books. We would like to tell the creator of Social Services of the Doomed that we wished we could have an option, when asked, to say that we like men & nonbinary people. (And women & nonbinary people obviously but thats not our choice) Right now we would have to say we like only men, only nonbinary people, or any gender. So yeah, being able to review individual books within the app would be a good addition!

Its alright. Hosted Games has much better stories though.

We saw that the game had free stories but then we had to pay for them to get the full experience or dont and watch a fell ads but then it said that we had to wait an hour until a can play again, please change that Im okay with ads but waiting a hour just to play a for a few minutes not even a whole chapter is Boring and takes the fun out of the game.

We bought all kinds of these stories back when they first came out, now they they merged all the stories into one app, they refuse to restore our purchases!!!

We dont normally write reviews but this is the exception. Personally, the app is great. Its simple and easy to use and works well with in app purchases as its own market. The stories are fun to read and play out, but there is one thing that the app lacks that can cause so many mildly infuriating problems for players. Theres no save and load function, so if you screw up an action, theres no going back to fix it. Its a universal experience that when players screw up, they restart and speed through the entire story again just to fix one mistake. (Even worse when you misclick while speeding through and have to do it again) If there was a save and load, we wouldnt have this problem.

We really like To The City Of The Clouds, its a story based on ideas surrounding a little-explored part of Columbia.

But we have a few problems we like to have our characters to have pride in a skill and most of them are magic so you newest Game we will take two scenes from it The scene with the little girl if she wouldve escaped without our character losing too her with magic which what we remind you we make him to be very powerful when it comes to magic Lost with ease too her and The next scene The mercenaries its quite stupid for the merchant Who should know you should not fight with the ruler of the land Trust us if it would he gave us an option we would have had her executed for treason phone allowing with trust us if it would he gave us an option we would have had her executed for treason because she did not us to use her mercenaries But lets MoveOn to yours werewolf game and Im talking about the one on games of Choices we were a disappointed we far from hated it but we would like to see medieval version of this because after all Are the medieval times is where the werewolf one most feared and in the modern day they were less scary because how you did it to do is to get an automatic which to us make thinks so cheap but more aesthetically we want for The character to unite the packs of werewolves under the character Which is all ready a werewolf to attack and eventually rule over the humans and then the second game if you choose to can be about You keep your rule some traitorous werewolves Who just want to rule themselves and a human rebellion and we want werewolves to be a natural strongest fighters then any humans.

This is one of the best CYA stories we’ve read out of all the ones in the store. Im pretty sure some of the game mechanics are busted. Played 3 times and never could get our manic offer 79% or our guile past 60% but we did manage to get an ending where we lived and stayed king anyways.

This app is the most amazing fricking game we have ever played. The stories are immersive. We love how the game allows you to take a peek in a game that you could have paid for, and possibly be disappointed, not that that could happen. We recommend playing Choice of the Dragon first, to get you used to what the choice of games are like. After that, Zombie Exodus. You do need to pay for the full game, but its probably worth it. The haunted house story is great too, but we dont want to make this any longer, so Ill end it here. (God we cant stress over how good this game is.)

This app is a library of many genres of interactive stories, each costing somewhere between $4-$10 for several hours of content. Once you buy them, theyre yours forever. You can try most of them for free (with very unobtrusive ads) to see if you like the authors writing style. The replayability of some of these stories is incredible, with meaningful choices and intricately branching narratives. We’ve gotten enjoyment from playing them over and over literally dozens of times. If you like sci-fi, we highly recommend Choice of Robots. The app has a dark mode, achievements, accessibility options, and doesnt try to hook you with memberships or gimmicks. Just great stories.

We find myself sitting outside after dark cause we keep reading and playing so many choices and replaying is always as fun as the first at least for us glad we found this thank you for your hard work.

A fantastic alternative to video games. The world or universe of your mind is unleashed when you play these hugely entertaining and varied games. Be who or what you want. Choose your world, interest, you name it Choice of Games is ready to entertain!

We love interactive fiction and choice of games and its spin off brand hosted games make the best in the genre Theres so many high quality titles to choose from we highly recommend choice of games and hosted games for the best interactive fiction available.

The app is truly a treasure trove of story! Most new releases are from $5-10, most with decent length. Replayability depends on the books author. There are some solid choices though.

First of all, this is a great app and definitely worth getting. All the games let you play the first couple chapters for free, so you can get a taste of the writing (and in some cases gameplay) before you purchase them. While personal opinions may vary as to what constitutes good writing or a good game, of course, theres enough diversity here that youre likely to find at least one game you enjoy. Most of the games have high replay value too, because there are so many approaches you can take. We personally recommend Kreg Segalls games (hes great at making even your characters failures enjoyable and rewarding), Heroes of Myth (I havent finished it yet but love the premise and writing, and it offers good options for roleplaying), and the Pon Para series (ditto). Recently we also started Vampire: the Masquerade – Night Road (forgive us if we didnt punctuate that correctly), and its proving really fun and well-written so far. However, that being said, we need to address a distressing bug we’ve encountered. Its only happened a few times but is still annoying enough to be worth the attention, we feel. Sometimes when we try to open games, usually after switching to another one, Im forced to restart at the beginning. With some games, this isnt that big of a deal, but in others, where elements of RNG are involved in certain aspects, or where theyre so long that we’ve forgotten some of the choices we made along the way, it can be moderately irritating. Which is a shame, because we really love this game. We hope it gets fixed soon.

The stories we’ve read so far have been amazing, our only complaint is Ill be reading a story, choose an option, immediately regret our decision, be several chapters (thousands of words) into said story, and either be forced to live with it or completely restart. Its just not fun. We already know its a stylistic choice why the game is made like this, but we paid money to read and experience these stories, and to use them as an escape, so please just let us go back and choose a different choice if we want.

Im torn on Choice of Games. After a while, no matter how diverse, their games start to feel the same. They also charge the same premium price for rough-shod edited works as they do their professional releases. And we think they do their writers/readers a disservice by requiring all stories to check so many boxes. We think that writing for queer, enbie, or straight, etc., constitute different themes, and trying to accommodate for all of them often leaves a rushed, hollow feeling. Economically, we know why they do it, but anymore we dont gel with any of the characters because they are written to be as broadly interpreted as possible.

These games are a lot of fun! It doesnt look like a game, which is really nice – our mother-in-law thinks Im working. The stories (so far) are very well written – no glaring spelling or grammar errors, relatable characters, and we can be whoever we want, whatever we want. The only problem is a lack of save feature. If there is one, we cant find it. We were so far into a story, and it just reset on us, and now we have to start over. Fix that, and this is a five star app.

Honestly well-intentioned crap. The character creation system starts out strong, and begins to derail. The magic system is not well understood, The Demons lack personality and the magic system doesnt have any to easy to follow methodology it seems to be roughly thrown together and the character is just assumed to have knowledge is at the whim of a hat. The history is well-researched,And the writing is of decent quality. But there is an irritating vagueness that tends to permeate and pervade the meta plot, and there is no concrete system for improvement it seems like a loose comic book concept that has been stapled onto the badly written first edition of a role-playing game, Half-heartedly stapled together. Give this one a miss it is not worth the headache.

Im addicted, this is one of the best choice based games we’ve played.

We’ve only been reading some of the free stories recently, and some free chapters of paid stories, and theyre mostly very fun and interesting. We can tell why the free stories are free, theyre very short, which makes us very sad cause the end of the book always hurts most, cause its the end of a fun story. We very desperately want to read the paid stories because we have a feeling theyll last a lot longer and be much more fun to read, but we cant pay for them till a lot later. Maybe we can watch 5 ads each to read one chapter of a paid story maybe? Ill watch up to 20 at once for a whole story, honestly Ill watch even more probably, just to read more stories. Im sure itd be a good source of moneyright? Im sure some people already pay for the books, but many people dont, and never will, so at least a couple ads may help out with some money right?
