Build sprawling cities, invest in cultural progress and forge alliances — or wage war. The world is yours to lead in this classic strategy game.

Originally created by legendary game designer Sid Meier, "Civilization" is a turn-based strategy game in which you go head-to-head with history's greatest leaders as you build an empire to stand the test of time. Whether you're brand new to turn-based strategy or a seasoned 4X expert, this vast tactical world-building game gives you the tools to start a civilization and guide it from the first Stone Age settlement to the stars.

With this version of "Civilization VI," Netflix members have access to all expansion packs and content included in the Platinum Edition of the game. The only thing you need to establish a legendary empire is time and a finely honed strategy.

FROM VILLAGES TO KINGDOMS

• Develop each city into a bustling metropolis, turn by turn and tile by tile. Build improvements, districts and wonders to make strategic use of resources nearby; train new units to defend your territory and explore the world around you.

• As your empire expands, choose the right scientific and civic advances to fuel growth, increase your political influence and give you an edge against regional rivals in trade or war.

MANY PATHS TO VICTORY

• Forge lasting power as you build your civilization through the centuries, from a medieval kingdom to a modern superpower.

• With multiple ways to win, every strategy is viable: Will you battle it out for military dominance? Avoid war through clever diplomacy? Or focus on resource management to leap ahead in technological discovery?

A WORLD OF POSSIBILITIES

• This Netflix edition of the award-winning 4X strategy game includes the "Rise and Fall" and "Gathering Storm" expansions, plus more content packs that open up new regions and cultures. With a huge array of civilizations and scenarios to choose from, rewrite history however you want to.

• Play alone, with up to four players in local multiplayer mode, or with up to six in hotseat mode on the same device.

  • Created by Aspyr, 2K and Firaxis.

This Strategy game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:

This is waaaay better than the regular app. Please keep this.

Ive been a civilization player on pc and console for years and ive always enjoyed it. When we opened the app store and saw it we were in pure excitement but we were questionable at first how it would perform on mobile but it holds up surprisingly well. We have an iphone 13 and it can get laggy if you use a larger map but just dont do that if you wanna avoid laggy gameplay. Everything else about it is great anyone who has complaints is just a little bit behind.

U should add controller support.

Love the touch interface. Its practically perfect. We have issues with tile tooltip positioning, and inability to see full text of a policy otherwise, its amazing.

THIS, our friends, is the app youve always wanted!a bug-free, unabridged, full PC version of Civ VI, miraculously stuffed into a mobile app PLUS a dozen expansion packs In our opinion, all the negative reviews are from old geysers who dont understand how to use newfangled tech, from people with 20 year old phones, and/or are from people new to Civilization VI: 1. Our 2018 iPhone runs this game at buttery smooth fps 2. The controls are completely intuitive to us and we have yet to encounter a single bug. We cant imagine how much work went into fine-tuning the touch controls as Ive never had such a great touchscreen experience on any other app 3. Theres tons of expansion packs enabled by default, ya dummies. We personally turned off the Rise and Fall expansion pack to simplify game play. If youre 100% new to Civ VI, we highly recommend turning off all expansion packs until you get used to the game. The base game without expansion packs is still ridiculously fun and you wont be left feeling like anything is missing.

A lot of fun even though the new player onboarding experience isnt great. Very frustrating having to do watch YouTube videos and search the web to figure every little stupid made up stat to play a single successful game. The tutorial could use some updating and we wish they used a bigger UI when using a tablet or casting to a big screen because it works on the phone with such little space but youre missing out on easily accessible info but considering the price for all this content on PC is around $100 this is a good deal and the base price on PC is crazy. Good to do this instead of committing so much money to something so trivial.

We are a CIV fan and have been playing it on different platforms, this one is by far the smoothest mobile run. Please consider the new version.

We started playing on July 4th holiday. The holiday has passed but we cant stop playing. Someone help, we have bills to pay.

Complicated and hard to learn but once you learn it is a very good game.

Got it for free from Netflix, plays so so well on mobile.

One of the top computer games to date. We would like to see the ability to trade techs with other computer players.

Tbh we really really love this game see lemme give you a spill we play call of duty and rainbow six siege and never would we have imagined playing civ 6 but like a couple years ago we were surfing thru the Xbox game store and we found civ 6 now we thought nothing of it so we downloaded it and went straight into it after a month we were beating entire bot lobbies on the hardest mode but then we seen on the game store the DLCs that have been out and we have to say we fell just deeply in love with the game nukes GDRs and all this game really is lovely and we have to say thank you so much for bringing it to our phone just becuase we have a Netflix subscription we love the devs seriously.

The other one you can get on iPhone always freezes and takes longer to load. This one is quick and has all the bells except for the heroes add on.

We didnt notice that you already had maps in the game. But for an actual update since Civilization VII hasnt came out yet heres our idea. So, maybe you can add other updates that are different from the actual game and not like mods.

Hello, we really liked civ 6 on our Xbox and we always loved playing Hammurabi, but hes not on mobile. Or if it is, how do we get him.

Netflix has done a good job of fixing the bugs and crashes that used to plague this game before they took it over. Its playable now on our mid-range iPad, and just as good as ever. Thanks to Netflix, for investing the time and effort to get this game back into shape.

We started playing this game when we went to a friends house and immediately fell in love with everything about it. But little issue. Where the heck is Yongle? There are a few other civs we havent seen and we want to find them soon. Please respond soon and bring back Yongle. Live long and prosper.

Most underrated way of playing this game.

Always flash out after loading or restart.

Wont let us log in even though our maturity level on the app is good.

This game is a fun game for us to play, when we can play it. The problem we have seen consistently with this game is that it crashes when you do a restart. Why? We restart a map anytime it is a lopsided map where the natural wonders are slim to none on our map area and abundant on the CPUs side. Playing this on the easiest level as well. Not sure but 1 out of 10 times when we restart it doesnt crash the app. That doesnt make us want to play. Maybe thats the point?Fixed now, no more crashing.11.15.25.

Good game, at some point it gets boring other than that solid.

Console version can use controller, game should be able to use backbone or Bluetooth controller for IOS.

We like the game, of course. But, the lack of responsiveness with the controls made this app unplayable. We had to tap repeatedly to get our unit to attack another. City attacks were so inconvenient to control that we just would not even bother. It was also very difficult to not accidentally move a unit with the tap slide control enabled. Id accidentally tap a unit and slide our finger to get to another control and that unit would go into enemy territory. Eventually, we had to delete the app. We think buying the game on steam and using a computer would be a lot easier to play this game.

Im it wont let us join games with our friends doesnt even show it we think we need to be fix.

The tablet interface is not very intuitive and is difficult to pinpoint specific units within a given square. Also, the tutorial isnt very intuitive so its difficult to learn the little nuanced changes from previous versions of Civ. We learned on a PC, so that has colored our experience. Ive played about 6 times now at the Settler level have come in dead last every time. The game is still a blast and Im not going to stop playing until we get the hang of it.

The game is great but the sound just randomly stopped working entirely. We deleted and reinstalled it and it still has no sound, the intro, title screen, in game, its silent. It would be nice to have sound.

Great game, runs smooth. Needs ability to use back bone or wireless controller.

The resolution is way too low on the iPad – jagged edges in everything.

Civ 6 is a great game. However, why is the render resolution so low on the iPad version? Modern iPads can easily run this game in all its glory if you would allow it. Please update! Would be 5 stars at full resolution.

This version of the game doesnt have the leader pass, including like Abraham Lincoln and a couple other civilizations, but its a pretty full featured game. We wish that we could play against our PC friends. We thought of six was cross platform and this one doesnt appear to be.

The game has no sound on our 2020 iPad Pro even after reinstalling. Also, cloud saves seemed to stop working. We cant continue our game from our iPhone 13 Pro.

We activated an event called The World Congress in Session and Im unable to Choose a Target during the vote when we chose the thumbs up or thumbs down button. We cannot skip this event and cannot continue playing our campaign. We were not able to discover all the Congress members maybe that could be the reason why but Im going to have to uninstall in the meantime.

We started playing when Netflix offered it as part of the subscription. But theres no attraction to the game. Theres a lot of stats but with no instructions on how to do things it kinda feels more like a chore than a game, its not an easy task learning the game so we tend to get bored quick. An amazing game that should have set an example in this genre of mobile games was dawn of titans super easy to learn and quick to play.

We would play more if we could use our backbone controller for mobile playing.

The game extends past the screen border. Have found no solution. Very frustrating.

The game crashes when you restart (menu) a game after initial created game loading.

The game itself is great, and probably the only reason Im still paying for our Netflix subscription atm since we finished You. But when we look online there is 20+ characters and other content missing from the game, with no option to buy or news about them eventually being added. The more we play the more we want to move away from Netflix so our progress isnt lost when we eventually want to play the rest of the game. Netflix any plans to add the rest.

Game consistently crashes when trying to start a second game after a first.

This Netflix version is much smoother and noticeably less bugs. Thank you for putting this together! That being said, most leaders from the New Frontier expansion are not available in the app. A lot of us were drawn to Civ6 because of the options for civilizations outside of Europe. Please add them to improve the gameplay.

Love the civ series. But this app tried to use 3.2GB of backup, which blocked our entire phone backup because its too large for the free iCloud. Thats 1000 times more backup than makes any sense for a game. Please fix this so the game doesnt break phone backups.

Very difficult to move the camera when a unit is selected. Otherwise its a great port. Im on an iPhone SE which may be making it worse since it has a snack screen.

Not optimized for iPad Pro. Let us adjust UI size and resolution. UI is huge and covers a bulk of screen. Resolution is poor compared to what some Apple devices can handle. Easy 5 star game once these get corrected.

We were enjoying the game has an issue on buying units with gold and buying missionaries with fait seems like it does not work on an iphone.

Needs backbone controller support.

Its a good game we love it but we cant play on our computer that has everything but we have strep and we cant experience the rest of the game and playing on console is horrible it crashes every 5 minutes so could you work with the people or whatever it is and add dlcs.

Unstable (freezing and CTD). Terrible touch controls.

Crashes out of app upon restart.

Will rate higher with controller support.
