We love this game. Its the right amount of challenging, but all can be solved with a little logic. Its one of our 3 or 4 favorites. However, we found 2 glitches in level 366. One clue says even-numbered rows have an even number of criminals. Row 6 has 3 criminals. The 2nd glitch is a clue that says males with no other males in their rows or columns are innocent. All males have other males in both their rows & columns. Its a useless clue. There may be other glitches, but we havent noticed them. Other than that, its a terrific game.
AMAZING AND FUN GAME TO PASS THE TIME, NO COMPLAINTS ! But a suggestion, we think it would be nice to have some music in the background. Like calm music, nothing too loud. The silence is kinda weird. We guess we could play our own music, but whatever ! Thanks.
The game is fun and makes you think, however there are a lot of misspellings mostly plural and singular nouns. For example the only criminal with a beard has red hair. The word criminal is singular, insinuating that one singular criminal has the red hair/beard combo. However, it turns out there were multiple criminals with the combo. Criminal shouldve been plural, not singular.
We really enjoy this game but we have a few gripes. First is the prompts for hints; it's really distracting when the text bubble pops up on the bottom left persuading you to watch an ad for a hint. Second is that we feel that some puzzles simply don't give you enough info, meaning you HAVE to use a hint or two to solve it. Otherwise it's pretty fun and we like that the ads are between levels instead of in the middle of levels like some other games.
We played clue master since 2024 and they had a glow up! But there is a problem they added a thing called a ticket and if you lose all 5 of them by quitting the game or loosing then you have to wait 45 minutes! And it is really annoying and this game is so fun but because of the tickets we dont know if we can still play this game anymore because we have plenty of other games to play this game is not considered a good game now please take away the ticket thing because its really annoying.
We have been at a stopping point now for months on building. It keeps saying coming soon. Im getting board with it. Also, lots of ads.
The formula quickly becomes boring and monotonous.
Adds are popping up and take up half the page! Even after minimizing them – a few seconds later they pop up again. We had this game for months and these ads are new. We Couldnt handle it anymore so we erased the game.
Its a amazing game. Challenging and cool. So far, our only issues are the clues in some levels. Like, the clues shouldnt be confusing or vague. For example, we are at level 106 and one of the characters said males without male row mates are innocent; we look and saw that a few males didnt have male row mates but one of them was a criminal, we clicked them and it cost us a life. Thats not fair. Was they including columns too? If so, why isnt it worded better to include that since the game separates rows and columns. But other than that, worth it.
The clues do not help most of the time.
We expect it to be boring, it's fun the problem is there's a bunch of ads and you can play toggether so wow.
This is a really engaging and fun game. We have had loads of fun playing this. We request the developers to add more build levels and more stories in the story mode. We have finished all of them. Waiting for the next update.
Love the new escape room levels – but after passing a couple levels on the Jokers Story set, it keeps restarting the entire set. Didnt know if this was a bug or something we were doing wrong.
Ive enjoyed this game but now Im now in the triple digit levels and many clues are incorrect.
Great game so far. But It is absolutely imperative that a game like this can be solved entirely through logical reasoning. You should never be is a situation where the solution can be ambiguous at any point in the game. You should never have to ask a witness or get a hint because you are legitimately stuck. Yes, sometimes the solutions are hard and take a lot of thinking, but we just played level 288, got to a stuck point, took a screenshot and played it offline. We were able to mark all the necessary criminals and innocents that the exposed clues required and used up the criminal count, but when we went back to the game to play our solution, the first tile we marked was wrong! Ambiguous solution – fail! Fortunately with our screenshot we were able to rebuild our board, mark the tile correctly and play on with all logic from that point on.
Too many ads oh our god!!! You have to watch an ad after every single level and watch ANTOHER ONE just to double your reward.
The game is fun, creative yet, the more you play, the more bugs you find. Our biggest issue is when it randomly crashes as you are about to finish a puzzle and you loose all the coins used for hints. The escape rooms are frustrating as well. It returns you to the beginning unless you escape all the rooms in the level. That would be ok if it was not for the fact that, if you take a break and your device locks, you loose everything and have to start again. We removed it.
Sometimes statements dont mean what is written. The doctor treated an innocent person with glasses. We had to tap both people with glasses to get clues. The statement only implied that at least one person with glasses was innocent, but it cleared when we tapped both of them. So the statement actually meant that all the people with glasses were innocent. Also, we have spotted one lie so far. To be fair, it was an obvious lie. Person a said person b was innocent but her boyfriend is a criminal. She said her boyfriend was not a criminal, and to ask someone else. When that person was asked, he confirmed that the boyfriend was a criminal. This was honestly fair, but it was still a disagreement, and it made us worried. Also, sometimes the stories require deductions from stuff not said by anyone directly. For example, on the story involving kidnappers, you can immediately tap all the kids (they are shorter) and will not get enough clues without doing that. For z men, all of the ones with knock off superhero names were safe to tap. The escaoe rooms need a tablet. One room had two clues but we could only see one even with the zoom,and had to guess because of that. Still not too bad.
Cant complete escape room. Keeps resetting to level one after completing it.
This game is fun, but around level 110, the clues stopped making sense. Often times, they are incorrect and dont match anything on the board. We really enjoyed the Escape Room mini-game, but that is flawed too. After making it through entire levels, the game resets and makes you start over. After happening twice, we gave up.
We HAVE Not had a add yet at all. This game is the bestttttt try it pleaseeeeeeeeee.
Ive had this game for a long time and we really enjoyed it. We used to play this whenever we were bored but ended up playing all the time. But with the addition of the tickets to play, the game has lost its interest for us.
We paid to have the ads removed but you still have to watch them to unlock certain things. Then we paid $2 to get the Escape Room keys but it keeps starting us over on chapter 1, level 1, asking to buy the same keys again! The game is fun and thats the only reason Im giving it 3 stars but Im upset that Im spending money for nothing in return.
Id usually give this 5 stars as an enjoyable well made game, but the bug in the Escape Room event is ridiculous. We were having so much fun with it, but the game randomly resets to the first level in the first chapter, even if youre on chapter 3 or 4. You then have to replay ALL the levels to get back to the highest level. Ive restarted and tried, its so annoying.
The escape room levels are kinda cool. Too bad after the first one you have to watch an ad after each level and another one to unlock the next level. We got halfway through the second story and the game randomly took us back to the start of the first story. Im not watching all those ads to try again.
The progress in the Escape Room doesnt save. Thats very disappointing.
This game is very awesome. If you like solving clues.
We play this often and love it but the latest update added a creepy emoji expression when selecting a character and its really creepy and off-putting.
Overall the game is fun, we feel like its really challenging your thinking skills. BUT theres no reason for the app to have as many ads as it does. You finish a level..ad. You lose a levelad. You leave a level and come back? Guess whatthey play ads to load the game. We understand ads are a normal part of phone games now but this is just excessive. They really take away from the fun of the game.
This is one of our favorite games but the new update leaves much to be desired. The excessive cartoon effects of the characters leaves it feeling campy and over done. It was much better before the new graphics.
Anyone even remotely good will be VERY DISAPPOINTED with the sudden dumbing of the games. We used to enjoy the challenge, but ridiculously easy and not worth our time now.
Keeps the brain active but oh so very stingy with rewards, and as like most games, has deceiving ads.
We enjoy the app very much but there are far too many advertisements, they are extremely repetitive and they last far too long.
We dont understand how it can get such high rating. These mastermind games arent meant to set you up for failure. Like theyll give you hints you have to think through but not force you to spend points/coins to talk to witnesses. Cause if you dont have enough points to talk to a witness youll have to watch an ad. Either that or you basically had to guess, and you only have 2 lives to guess. So you can barely walk through 2 levels without having to stop for 30 seconds or more for an ad.
This game was cute and really fun, but this new change to have an ad after EVERY SINGLE PUZZLE UNLESS you buy their special No Ads pass is ridiculous. And the ads arent short. Theyre 10-15 seconds minimum. Why would we want to play a puzzle we can solve in 30 seconds and then have to sit through an ad of the same length before we can play another? Im deleting the game. Dont waste your time unless you want to pay $14.99 every 60 days.
So we love games that make you think. Dont like games that make you guess so you are wrong and have to watch ads. Some levels give you a clue with a single positive answer with some deduction. NO way to determine your next move without guessing. Hoping this would change and levels would get more challenging instead of luck based but nope!!! Still enjoyable but forced to watch ads to finish the level or get new clues.
We dont understand why, if we won enough games to fill the piggy bank, that we are expected to pay to open the bank! Thats frustrating. Whats the motivation to keep playing.
This game seemed like a fun concept but we uninstalled after seeing Ad removal only lasted X amount of days. Ad removal shouldnt be a subscription service, especially at these prices. Unfortunate.
Frustrated enough with incorrect clues that we deleted the app.
Most of the puzzles are well done, but there are occasional errors (it happens to the best of us). For example, one puzzle (puzzle 122) includes trying to find which toys are haunted by evil spirits vs good spirits. One of the clues says that all non-human dolls are innocent, but then one of the non-human dolls ended up being haunted by an evil spirit. Occasionally, the game also will confuse the word row with the word column. We are very careful about reading the clues and am able to solve pretty much all of the puzzles without losing a life, minus the occasional error that we have found. Whoever edits the game may want to go back and take a look. Otherwise, the ad to gameplay ratio is not that bad. Some games have way too many ads for the gameplay, but this one isnt too overwhelming.
Decent app with a lot of adds. We uninstalled because it crashes a lot.
Its an OK game. Sometimes fun. But some puzzles require you to guess or have a 50/50 outcome. Thats not logic. Thats guessing or risk. The idea of the game is to follow the clues to a verified outcome using logic. Thats not guessing. We understand. By not giving all the information, the game forces you to watch videos to get hints. This is how they make money. We get it. We were looking for a logic game. We have deleted the game.
We enjoyed this app for a few months after buying the NO ADS for 3 months. Then when that expired, they increased the price for 3 mos.to over $10! Come on! The app isnt that good.
The game itself is solid. We like logic games, and the design is well made. We do think the ui could be better, specifically with the toggling of innocent or guilty, and we think it would be easier to tap on a person and the choose. That being said, the ads are downright predatory and the no ad options are even worse. There is no world where someone should have to pay that much money for no ads, AND IT ISNT EVEN PERMANENT!! If it was .99 or $5, even $10, for no more ads for good like many other apps offer then Id buy it, but this system is just exploitative.
It force closes on us and we lose all progress on a level and have to start again. This continues. Very annoying. Otherwise we like it. Please fix this bug Update-still happening. Very frustrating. We will probably stop playing and find something better if it keeps happening. And its a shame because we really do like it. We dont build anything, that is irrelevant to us. Just make the game work right.
Its a fun and accurate game. We like that it isnt overly complicated and doesnt leave you to have to guess yet it is still very challenging. Our only complaint is that the words are so hard to read because they are so small and when we zoom in we are unable to see our whole board.
We love this game and play it every day. If it had a permanent ad-removal option, we would buy it in a second, at almost any price. However, it appears they dont want our money. The only option is $14.99 (!) to get no ads for merely 60 days. Ive never seen another game do this timed thing. Clearly theyd rather reach for the stars and get zero than set a normal price and make sales.
Early in the game they claim there is no guessing and that the clues are enough to solve the level. At some point, this drops being true and theres no way to solve without watching more and more, longer and longer ads. We eventually gave up because the game was no longer about logic and just about watching ads.
Thats the only issue we see in this game so far. The innocents give you a clue when found; but sometimes that clue is not accurate. We only run into that problem about every 15 or so levels.
Some of the tiles give poor hints. For example, we were told that only 5 people with black hair are innocent. Counted how many were innocent, had our 5, but when we put the rest were criminals, one ended being innocent?? Its so inconsistent and has happened many times. Then youre stuck watching ANOTHER ad. Either give us an option for perma no ads or correct the hints.
