What Makes Cribbage JD Stand Out

The classic card game Cribbage also known as Crib, Cribble, and Noddy. A card game traditionally for two players, that involves playing and grouping cards in combinations which gain points. Cribbage has several distinctive features: the cribbage board used for score keeping, the crib, box, or kitty, a separate hand counting for the dealer, two distinct scoring stages (the play and the show), aces low, and a unique scoring system including points for groups of cards that total fifteen (15).

This Cribbage mobile app lets you play the classic card game Cribage anywhere without needing your wooden Cribbage pegging board. You can play online or even offline. The playing cards are large so Grandpa will have no trouble playing his favorite board game. All the scoring is automatic using the built-in calculator including a breakdown of the point details, so no need for Muggins or Shotgun Cribbage.

Are you ready to skunk your family in one of the most popular card games created in the 17th century? The rules of Cribbage are built in making it easy to learn how to play Cribbage / Cribble.

This app track all your statistic including your hand, crib, pegging average, max, and life time point totals. Never get board with the plethora of achievements to master the perfect hand with a flush, pairs, three of a kind, 15, and super combos. Play at any difficultly: Easy, Medium, Hard, or Crazy Ninja.

This multiplayer game classically plays 2 players in a head to head battle like Speed, Nertz, Canasta, Pinochle, Solitaire Showdown, Backgammon, and Gin Rummy, but only Cribbage is played with a cribbage pegboard.

This Casino game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

We really am enjoying playing on this app. We especially like being able to play other real people rather than the apps bot. We love the fast pace.

We Googled for the best cribbage app and this was the winner. Its been very enjoyable for us and, our cribbage partners have said Im playing a better game since we started using it. For us, thats the bottom line.

We have played cribbage since we were 7 so we love to play it is super convenient to just have it on our phone and we have been preparing for our march madness cribbage tournament.

Great to stay in touch with grand kids.

This a great app for those needing to get their cribbage fill. You can chose to play the computer or a real person. The game play is fast.

Straight forward, easy interface, and the best feature. No ads. You can play to your hearts content without having to watch videos.

We have been playing cribbage for a long time. Reminds us of the times father and we played (before computers ). Good app.

Itd be great to be able to add up hands together and determine pegging yourself. Steal points from others and challenge a bit more.

We used to play cribbage years ago, and wanted to get back into it. We had forgotten all the rules, how players take turns, the point counting system, etc so downloaded this app for a refresher course. We now play at least one game daily over our morning coffee! The part we really like is the explanation partIf you dont understand how a certain round tallied up, it will explain to you, point by point.

Love that you can concentrate on the plays and not the counting! This is a fast moving game. We either play HARD or CRAZY NINJA and solely concentrate on the moves and not the countingBoth HARD AND CN compliments a well played hand (computer generated). Being computer generated comments do mean something cuz when a play a good well played hand it will tell you. Stupid plays arent, so well played hand do make you feel good. 5 stars here.

We use it all the time. Online and computer.

We love playing this. We grew up playing the game with our father. Dont find many that play it person to person now so we hit this up daily.

Great job developing a fun and competitive game.

Best online cribbage game. Our only issue which is very minor, if you are chatting too long the game makes a decision for and picks your cards or plays them. But its not a big dal, if it was we wouldnt play several games a day. We enjoy the game immensely. Thanks JD.

We play with our brother a couple times a week. Play the computer (ninja is best) the rest of the time. Its easy and fun. Highly recommend.

If you download this game and dont enjoy it, youre the problem.

We simply love privilege. This is a great game. Our husband and we can play for hours.

We play it every day. Sharpens our passing and playing skills. It would be nice to have one skill level higher than crazy ninja.

We play online and random games and we can always find someone to play with. The screen is easy to see, and its got a pretty smart layout for viewing all of the parts of the game. We never see any lag or issues, or any buginess. What more could you ask for.

We are just learning cribbage. This is wonderful. We always have someone to play.

If you like getting beat by Estonians, then this is the game for you. Ive never learned how to swear in so many 2nd hand languages before.

Play almost everyday as a break from our work. Seems likes computer is trying to play their best most of the time based on what is thrown into the crib. Cards seem pretty random, but hard to know for sure. Overall, like this version of cribbage a lot.

Better than crib pro, game colony, and others. Free weekly 5-6 game tournaments.

Still see way too many double runs! The 7-8-9-6 or 7-8-6-9 play sequence is too frequent Dont like the fact that if no card choice in whatever interval, the computer picks a card that may not be correct Two dudes like to get angry and make suggestions that are not really anatomically possible Should be able to see the winning card play for 5 seconds before the big ugly banner blots out the screen. No, we dont want to review the whole game.

The card distribution seems completely random. Other games we have played seem a bit more controlled and predictable.

Fun game. Better than the rest. Would advise against downloading any of the games In the advertisements though. We did and we cant find it ANYWHERE on our phone. So either its a bug that happened or we just downloaded a virus onto our phone.

All computer cribbage games have a problem with randomness. Too many very large hands (24 +points). While this game is better than others, there is still a noticeable bias.

If it had best of 3/5/7 in multiplayer we would rate 5 stars.

The best of the Cribbage Apps we have played. The Crazy Ninja opponent is particularly good with runs and pegging and thus teaching how to avoid certain traps. Our rating should be a 5 but couldnt undo our 4 tap.

Wish we could find a way to stop all the ads.

The app is good, the game plays well, but there is no option to even pay to get rid of ads.

Our only negative comment is that the cards are presorted so if you are paying attention to where the cards from the opponent are being drawn from you can tell if they have an ace for example because the low card they have has been played. Could randomize placement to eliminate that.

Love playing games more than the kiddos so we never get to practice our Cribbage game until we found out we can play on our phone! Love it (maybe too much) keep us sharp for the Holiday season when we get to play all our hairy chin aunties.

Game mechanics are good, really the only issue is the hand scores are hard to read and remain on screen only briefly.

Game is realistic. Challenging but you can win.

We like this game. We do play it once every morning. Although we are frequently surprised by what cards the other players sometimes pass. Low hearts? Really.

The cards can be predictable so the game favors the conservative player. Ive enjoyed the app but dont like the run of wins & then the run of losses. Most games we have zero control if we are going to win or lose. We have played over 2k matches & we worked our way up to Grand Master now Ive had a severe losing streak that has brought us to the Diamond level. Im about ready to delete the app.

We love cribbage and play multiple versions on our we-pad. We find ourselves playing this version regularly but it can be a VERY frustrating experience. An option for random draw games would be a great thing. Way too many 20+ point hands or an opponent who magically has the hand setup to score only with the up card. We hate losing and kick butt head to head most of the time but its hard to overcome the algorithm that deals itself three 20+ point hands in a row.

Overall, we like this game as it has a good design and relatively quick pace. A few issues have knocked it down a few stars for us. 1) The game force wait time with Go. We dont need to wait a couple seconds for it to happen. Also make it more noticeable on screen. 2) Playing online against people, we never want to play with their chosen board. Some are ok, but others are difficult to see. Id like an option to only play with the board of our choice for our screen. 3) Card distribution. Over the course of thousands of hands, it will balance out but on a game by game or hand by hand basis, its laughable. Theres something off with the array shuffle algorithm or the random seed. Statistically, too many 3/4 of a kind and 5/6 card straights dealt in hands each game to be realistic. Looking at Cribbage hand distribution charts shows its just not going to happen every other game like this. The point at which we stopped taking it seriously was playing online and someone had 3 straight 20+ point hands (excluding peg/crib).

If dont play for a bit it doesnt work gotta restart the whole gane.

We would say this game is pretty good. Its interesting though. The deck will stack you with 20 hands for awhile and then you will get nothing more than 2-6 point hands for 10+ games in a row dropping your rankings. Ive been playing awhile and been through the cycle a few times. Its fine just doesnt feel totally random.

We agree with many others that this game is rigged. Its coded to even out the players and to give the underdog a Hail-Mary in the last rounds. Ive been playing cribbage forever and Ive never experienced so many 20 plus hands as you do in just a few matches. AND, Its almost guaranteed that the player thats behind will get 14+ points in the last 2-3 rounds. That just doesnt normally happen in the real game. This cribbage app is sort of a joke compared to the real world of cards. Pathetic that the developer stoops to this level of balancing the players.

One of our favorite games! Learned a long time agotrying to get our kiddo hooked.

The only thing random about this game is the choice of opponent. Aside from that, the cards are ridiculously predictable. You can go on a winning streak that would get you thrown out of Vegas, then go on a prodigious bender of a losing streak. The ways in which you can win or lose games are boggle the mind. Add to that the astronomical amount of points routinely dealt out and youve got a game that is laughable. So if you really want a game that deals a fair hand, go somewhere else. That said, there a great many more cribbage games available that are mostly for children. So choose your poison. This game gives and takes in equally bizarre fashion.

This game has good production value. Some of the ads are silly but it's a free game. However, what we don't like is the cards are far from shuffled randomly. Also, we went from winning to getting terrible hands frequently so we guess the algorithm noticed we'd play til we win then quit so it decided to stop having us win. Uninstalled.

We love the game, and the challenge. However, the back or exit button out of a game is very easy to hit accidentally with your finger, and it doesnt ask you to confirm so very easy to accumulate losses all because of a bad button design.

This app was fun for a while. After a few months, like all cribbage apps, obvious patterns start to emerge. You can tell when the app is trying to keep an opponent close in score to compensate for their poor pegging. There are bots in online play that are impossible to beat. After a while you run out of things to spend your coins on. Now that we have a pile of coins with nothing interesting to spend them on, we can no longer win an online match. Odd coincidence? Who knows..Ill just head over to Grammas and enjoy a real game.

The most unrealistic game Ive ever played, actually laughable.

As of yesterday we open the app and we are unable to see the cards or the board.

Its a joke site. Entertaining but zero skill needed or used. Cards sometimes have 5 of a kind for pegging purposes or whatever reason. Rigged? Yes. More concerned about the viruses.
