The puzzles are fun and challenging. The ads that interrupt play are bad but the ones between games are all right. However, the issue that needs attention is this: the game keeps prompting to connect to internet when the phone is already connected. This problem costs points and progress in the game. Developers, please fix.
Its a good game. We play it often. Why dont we recommend, then? Too many ads, and the only way to get rid of them is to pay $11.95/weekthats $47/month. Ridiculous. Also, it keeps prompting us to connect to the internet when we are connected. If and when they correct these problems, Ill give it a rousing 5 stars.
Ever since this last update, It has been saying that we have no internet connection when we do our daily challenges. Please help us fix this.
Do not play this game if you have any sensitivities towards light. (specifically flashing lights) this app is so broken in the last week it has been doing nothing but freeze our entire phone to the point we can't even turn it off. When we're able to use our phone again and go back into the app it starts flashing rapidly. We suffer from light induced migraines and play this game to help with them. We don't know if this is something on our end or the apps but it is very annoying and dangerous.
This game is no doubt fun and challenging. We enjoy playing it and love the challenge. However, the ads are absolutely BRUTAL. Theyre long, frequent, and annoying. Not only that, but you have three lives for the ENTIRE game. If you lose all three, they do not regenerate daily. You can watch an ad (of course) to try again or you can pay money. While we understand the need for apps, we dont understand the need to only have three lives. And to not allow us to buy ad free. Its fun, but not worth your time.
We like the game, but was charged $11.98 yesterday for something. We have no idea what. Can we get a refund? We cant afford $11.98 right now, especially not knowing what for.
Good concept for a game, but falls short in reality. Some words are difficult due to location based spelling variations (USA vs UK, etc) Some words are spelled wrong. Ads are short, but when it comes to skipping them they sometimes freeze and cant get past it and have to close and reload the app. Game also began auto redirecting us and opening a browser webpage link to a fraudulent/scam/spam website, this happened without us interacting with anything and we didnt click on any links, it just opened and sent us to a webpage saying phone is in danger. This is NOT okay and we will be deleting the app due to this alone. Its not worth the hassle or the risk.
This could have been a great game. It's well laid out, and the puzzles are genuinely challenging without being impossible to solve. We've actually expanded our vocabulary by playing the game. Just a minor complaint: some of the pictures are not that easy to figure out, but in fairness that just adds to the challenge. Our bigger complaint — and the one that keeps us from giving a higher rating — is that the game has a nasty habit of losing control over letter tiles when you are dragging them to the correct cells in the game map. When this happens the letter tiles become suspended over the game board and are no longer accessible. That it is impossible to position the suspended tile in the board, and it is not possible to win the game. We've lost several games because of this. It's frustrating largely because it tends to happen late in the game after you've spent the time to solve most of the puzzle. If the developers ever fix this bug we'd happily give this a hire rating.
We like the game but after you advance so far the answers dont have anything to do with the clue and the opponent starts off with more of a score than you can get even if you get all the answers correct. The game becomes unfair and the answers are a far reach. Please fix this issue or Ill have to delete and replace it with another crossword game.
The ads ruin this game, add an option to buy ad-free.
We play this game to keep our brain sharp. Other developers make you play with an opponent. That opponent not only takes away chances for us to use our brain and solve the puzzle, the opponent is not fair in that it places the last letter in a word that we have built and we get no credit/points. Not cool! Thank you for making this game truly suitable for those of us whose goal is brain ability and not a competition.
It keeps telling us we need WiFi when Im using cellular data. Both on our iPhone and Android.
This is a decent game but it will take getting use to as it is British Language based which varies from American English. Adds a bit of complexity. This was advertised as no ads, of course that was not true, but there are an excessive number of ads you need to watch. Take some of the enjoyment out of the app. We understand the need for ads but there are just too many. Possibly add a paid version to eliminate ads.
Im not sure if its just us but the ads are unskipable and we have to close the entire app to get back to the game.

As an older person this app really helps us exercise our brain without leaving us feeling frustrated or stressed. You know the saying use it or loose it.
Spelling errors, kicking a letter out, then accepting later in original space. This happens a lot. Ex: this is the correct spelling of oasis. They took oases & we got errors/lower scores because of them.
We really like this game. Its just annoys us sometimes that this isnt an American game. Like they have it as tyres instead of tires. And also Im on a level where the clue is Binary Digits. We work in IT and the answer is BITS but they have it as BYTES. We know there were plenty of other mess ups like this but cant remember what they were exactly.

Ill start by saying that we love this game, and play it nearly every day. We like how, if you get all the letters placed in each round, you do NOT have to watch an ad – thats nice. However, two things bug us: 1) if we play every day, why does our streak on the daily challenges disappear and we have to start all over? And 2) some of the words are errors – one hint was vertical meas and the answer was heigh – something tells us that should have been height. Also, multiple children ended up with the answer of stot – hmmm, should that s have gone at the end? We think so. But otherwise, a very good game.
Im sick of an ad after every single level just take our money and let us play man.
Easy game to play with and gives your brain a challenge.
We enjoy this game. Its relaxing. That is, until one of these stupid ads are blaring. We dont mind the ads; but if theyre audible, that just means we would NEVER even consider them. We often play games while listening to audio books or music. But when the ad stops MY enjoyment and we have to close out the game to restart it, we are infuriated. Do better!!! Not to mention, if Im playing somewhere around others, they dont want to hear that mess either. And no, Im not turning our volume down. But this is the sure fire way for us to completely ignore the product the ad is advertisingsimply out of spite If you want us to pay attention to the ad, and actually consider itmake them silent.
Im about ready to delete a game we love because theres too many ads. Please have a pay option to get rid of them or else Ill have to get rid of your game. Thanks.

We love this game. We play often. We want a way to eliminate adds! Way too many.
We enjoy the challenges in this game. Yes there are way too many ads which we expected but recently those ads do not shut down and continue to loop. We are about ready to stop using it all together because of this frustrating issue.

We like this game a lot, but some of the answers make no sense at all. Who is writing these?? Are they native English speakers? We think some of these words are made up, others are just nonsensical or do not match the clue. Please get better editors! We saved some examples to show you, but can't attach them here apparently.

We enjoy the game and like playing it. However when you try to watch a video for a new life it never loads. Ive waited over 20 minutes and it hasnt loaded. Why doesnt it refill overnight? Every day should start with a full lives.

- Too many ads. Sooooo frustrating. 2. Was this developed by someone British because it uses a lot of words that Ive heard them use. It makes it a little difficult for Americans. 3. But should be number one! The letters stick in places you dont want them and we have to keep shutting down and restarting our game! If it wont stop, Im deleting the game.
This game was great. We really enjoyed it until bottom ads started blaring while playing the game. Even silencing your phone doesnt disable the stupid music. If you close the google ad, it starts up 3 seconds later. We will sit through ads to play but we wont accept music blaring while we are trying to do a puzzle. If it continues, deleting the app is easy peasy. Hate to lose it but that is unacceptable.
The game itself if fun and addictive, but it has a few issues. The game seems to use a lot of processor, causing it to frequently run slow, and even shut itself down occasionally. Our biggest complaint is the ads. There are way too many ads and about half the ads have NO skip button, forcing you to watch the entire, and usually long, ad. Other games seem to have a way to avoid this, why not this one? Although the game is fun, and likely a good memory and vocabulary exerciser, we are not likely to play it with having to watch all those long ads.
Love this game but it would be really cool if you added a notes option where we could mark little notes of what words might be where before we submit the letters.
And thats good for us as we age. Makes us think! We like it.
Love the game, however add placement is just crazy! You cant really get into the game without an ad every 3 to 4 plays. Ive deleted it off of our phone just too frustrating to play.
