One of the best cryptic crossword apps around. Ross the Dog is there to assist with hints and explain the reasoning behind each answer. Plus you can import crosswords from other sources, or even take a picture of a crossword and clues and he will help you with those as well! And now, in addition to the crosswords that come with the app, there are additional multipacks and daily bites, little mini crosswords to get your quick fix. Highly recommend!
If you enjoy crosswords, particularly cryptic ones, this app is worthwhile. The AI is a bit limited at times, but surprisingly intuitive at other times. The ability to import crosswords from sites like The Guardian or to capture crosswords from photos are both is a nice feature.
Our mind is blown! Not just that this is possible, but that someone put in the time and effort to do it, considering how cryptics are relatively niche. The AI and the way its output is presented is extremely well done.
Im learning how to solve cryptic crosswords, and this app is fantastic for that! Other apps can tell you the answer to a clue, but this is the only one we’ve found that actually explains how the cryptic part works to give the answer, which is exactly what we need!
