We definitely recommend this game. The easy level is a good way to get started, not too hard but not too easy either. Im looking forward to continue to learn with these puzzles!! One suggestion if you can keep the reveal or mark error as a button in front instead of going to menu all the time. Allow for players to set up showing the errors.

The layout of the clues is annoying, some of the clues are just poor/lazy attempts ("…-utan, ape" is orangutan), and some of the answers aren't even correct words. ("Laughing animal" is hyena, not hyaena. "Owing money" is "in debt", not "in dept", yet this is what the puzzle says is correct. Horrible game.
So addicting and fun to play. Feels like you are using your brain a bit to play it.

It is nice to be able to pick easy or medium when want to complete a puzzle. Would be discouraged if only had hard.

Nice interface. It's very compact because of the way they put the clues right in the puzzle itself. As mentioned by an earlier reviewer, some of the clues are a bit challenging because they seem to be from a UK perspective. Certainly worth playing, especially for free.
The puzzles are pretty good, except they tent to favor British words/clues vs American English.
After working several puzzles, it dawned on us that the game MUST be of British origin since many clues and answers are definitely from across the pond. This makes it especially challenging for us Yankees. Also, we came across one clue that pointed to the wrong boxes, which has us particularly suspicious if we cannot solve a particular puzzle. We start wondering if the creator forgot to change one of the clues or something. Not being able to trust the clue when it's something like "young ram", will keep you on your toes.
US users should be aware that these puzzles originate in the UK and therefore use British spelling (we.e. "Hyaena"). A few names will be unfamiliar as well. We like that you can choose difficult puzzles, although they still take less than 15 minutes to solve.
We like the levels this app has since we are a beginner…it gives us hope.
This is a long time hobby of ours and happy to have an app to continue this on our new iPad. We like choosing levels and getting help. Would like a reveal button to help a letter at a time instead of the whole word or nothing.
If you are addicted to crossword puzzles, this is a great addition.
This has and still is our favorite crossword puzzle. It has multiple levels with very interesting and challenging puzzles. We had tried many other crosswords and none are as good as this one.
This is a nice app but not enough different words from puzzle to puzzle as a lot of the answers are repetitive. Another problem is when the puzzle is complete sometimes it doesn't clear and you have to click next puzzle and abandon the one you just completed. A few puzzles down the road that puzzle returns. We would pay for the ad removal but not until the abandon the puzzle problem is fixed. These puzzles are almost identical to the Clean Crossword App that has a lot of the same problems.
OK. Certainly worth what we paid for it.
Had to delete. Plays ads while trying to play then crashes. Unusable.
We don't care for the format of the puzzles. They are not set up like traditional crosswords and the clues in the puzzle itself? Annoying. Delete.
Sorry we purchased this app. Should have had a warning label "Brits Only"! Format is too confusing. DELETE.
Bizarre answers to clues. Many answers are really a stretch, like it MIGHT be listed as the 10th definition in a dictionary. If you don't mind pressing the Solve Word button, then this is for you.
Im using iPad mini 2… Allows us to get to the screen that says play, but wont allow us to click on anything in order to actually start doing so. Uninstalled.
This is one of the worst apps we have ever seen in our life. It's so confusing, even on easy. It doesn't tell you what word you need to write, AND, you don't know where to put it! There's no list, not even across and down!!!!! Wherever this app came from, DO NOT GET IT. IT'S HORRIBLE.
If you are a hard core crossword aficionado this might not be your app but for a middle of the road ham and egger like us it is great.
We enjoy this App. The puzzles are challenging, but we start them and go back as often as necessary. We like having an ongoing game where we can spend as much or as little time as we want.
We like this game. Crosswords have always been a favorite of ours, and this is a really fun version. Started a little hard but we quickly got back into the mode and have lots of fun.
Our first puzzle took us along time to solve. Right now, we are a bullet ! Which proves that we need to exercise our brain and the best tool are these puzzles.
Different clue format is nice change. Would like option for continuous error marking. We like playing this one.
We have always enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and this App makes it convenient to do them.
Could be better. We don't care for the non-traditional design of puzzles. We don't like having letters that don't have a clue or word. The format of having clues in the puzzle, creates format problems. We just prefer regular crosswords.
We really liked this app. The functionality was good, the variety of puzzles were goo and we had purchased about 150 puzzles. But after iOS 9, it stopped working entirely. Tried to access support and their website didn't work. If it started working again we'd go back to using it again and write a new happy review.
As an easy crossword puzzle, which is what we want, this is the best we've found in 'the store'. However one major problem is that once every ten or so puzzles you will finish a puzzle and the game locks you out from starting the next puzzle. The game is set up such the next puzzle is automatically presented after completion of the previous, this goes into a loop once in a while and even though you have properly completed the puzzle and have plenty of puzzles, that you paid for, remaining the game won't let proceed to the next and menus won't allow you to override this. We pay for intermediate puzzles regularly and though we find them a little expensive we think they are good easy puzzles with the exception of the occasional word that nobody would ever get.
While these crosswords are fun and easy, when you buy additional packs of puzzles, you are frequently charged double- no more fun.
First off, we did not care for the puzzle clues within the black boxes with arrows pointing to where they go. Very distracting. We were also very disappointed that there were fillable, adjacent letters that were not required to make a word or have a clue…that is the point of a crossword puzzle after all! We did like the pop up that let you know when certain percentages of the puzzle were complete, but did NOT like the full screen pop up ads. We had 3-4 in one half hour puzzle. Our last suggestion for improvement is to have a "fit to screen" option so that you don't have to scroll/swipe around the puzzle to see the whole thing.
The puzzles were good but the incessant pop-up ads were extremely annoying. Deleted it.
This game will no longer work now that we've upgraded to OS 9. The keyboard is at the top of the screen, covering the game and it is also frozen.
Since when is, "indept" used instead of "indebt" for the clue " owing money". We checked both the American and British dictionaries. Deal breaker for us.
