What Makes Crosswords Plus . Stand Out
Arrow Words is a classic crossword app with a useful twist. In arrow words puzzles, the clues are shown right in the puzzle grid, making them easy to view and play on the iPad screen.
This lovingly produced app includes 1200 all-new Arrow Words puzzles in 4 levels. Easier levels use simpler words and a smaller grid, perfect for a short break. Harder levels have tougher clues and larger puzzle grids for hours of challenging fun. Also, careful editing and a huge pool of words ensure that clues don’t repeat too often.
The sound and graphics are also designed for true crossword aficionados. Choose from three visual interfaces that recreate the atmosphere of the crossword in the Sunday paper. The only complaint is that this is geared to the British English for the most part. Would appreciate one using USA enlist words and spellings. Definitely not boring and challenges your vocabulary, spelling, and trivia knowledge. We are senior and want to keep our mind active. Thank you to the developers.

We love crossword puzzles we can actually learn something from, and this one is our favorite! Easy to play, very intuitive to get around, and a great display. Thanks for updating it to OS8 so quickly. Now if you could make more puzzles available at the different difficulty levels, we'd be ecstatic.
We love, love, love these crosswords! Spend waaaay too much time playing. Even though some answers are geared to our brilliant British allies, as an American we haven't found that a deterrent and have learned a few things along the way.
This was once our favorite game. Since the iOS upgrade the game stopped working. The game developers have been aware of this for some time, but they have done nothing. Too bad, and we paid for this game.
Maneuvering could be better. Otherwise we like it.
We have used this app for the last three years and thoroughly enjoy testing ourselves. It forces us to know about things, places and subjects we wasn't familiar with.
So we thought they fixed the incompatibility with the new operating system, but we can't access the bottom third of any puzzle. Makes us mad.
A wonderfully entertaining game that makes you think and encourages you to find the answers. Well worth the minor cost.
Enjoy doing puzzles but am highly disappointed that we can only access three puzzles in each level when we paid almost $8 for this app. Where are the 1200 puzzles that were advertised.

Love the Arrow Words – so much better than the standard crosswords. So much faster and a lot more fun. Not the tedious 'across' and 'down' back and forth stuff. This particular game is extensive in both volume and variety of levels that it offers.
Always loved crosswords, this is wonderful…no erasing, answer available always…couldn't be better! Great way to spend time & stir the grey matter.

We do a crossword every day, but only on the easy level. This app gives us three hundred easy puzzles, which is great, since we already ran out of the easy ones on the earlier version. Our Mom and we love doing these puzzles together.

We enjoy all crossword puzzles and really enjoy this app with it's different levels of difficulty. We do not like their use of some British spelling of common words (eld for old) nor non common terms (bookshop for bookstore). It is still worth the price and very thought provoking.
These puzzles are apparently British, which explains some things that seem strange to Americans like "tyre" instead of "tire". And it does sometimes not go to the next puzzle when you finish one, but erasing a letter and putting it in again may help. We like that it has a great many puzzles that aren't too difficult for us.

Arrow Words and the iPad were really made for each other. Its such a pleasure to solve crossword puzzles with this format, on a touch screen. .
It is entertaining and keeps us thinking. And, we have to constantly remember that it is "British English" and uses words/phrases/spelling that are not American vernacular.
We like Arrow Words because we enjoy crosswords but it does not transition to next puzzle easily. Also when you do get it to move to next puzzle, it looks like it skips some…we had done 2 and appeared in countdown that we had done 4. It is too expensive for what it is too…7.99? Why so much? It is an app…$3 or $4 would have been more appropriate. Some words are weird too…such as a wheel covering ended up being tyre and not tire. We like it but could be better and cheaper.
Great puzzles with varying levels. Just wish it kept a score so we can try to improve time spent and number of times we "cheated".

Easy puzzles suit us. Goal is to get 100 without help. Glad to see that there's 300 easy puzzles. Hopefully they'll prepare us for the medium puzzles.
It moves pretty quickly and is as challenging a crossword game as we have played. The puzzles are difficult, but workable.
Lots of puzzles from easy through difficult; also has letter/word cheat (if you get stuck), and shows incorrect letters (if prompted). A great game.
Our only complaint is that the game don't tell you if your right or wrong which makes it very hard to play.
It doesn't seem to go smoothly to the next puzzle when we complete a puzzle. We're puzzled. We have to ask it to go to the next one and it discards the one we just finished.
