Fun game and different from most tower defense games. You dont have to spend a bundle of money to do well. If you spend 2 or 3 dollars to get a special set you will Rock the game.
Everything a good tower defense should have.
Still only an hour or so into it currently but it has been fun.

If you are wanting something different or new that is high quality buy this game.
Would have given 5 stars if there were more maps/missions–and if it had been updated recently (true rating is probably really 4.5 stars). Really like this TD/RPG blended game. It is great that you can succeed without having to do IAPs, though it can be a bit of a grind, particularly on certain maps. The fact that there are 3 difficulty levels for each map, and the different difficulty levels tweak the maps or towers available, partially makes up for the lack of maps. With a couple changes/additions would absolutely increase rating to 5 stars. Those changes are: 1) more maps! 2) Have better equipment available in the in-game store that can be purchased with in-game currency. We seem to be topped out on swords and the armor and jewelry never gets beyond a certain level, either. There should be some really cool things that show up once in a while, whether in the store or dropped during battles. 3) Update the game! Id like to be able to continue to play this game but, since it hasnt been updated since 2015 and Ive finished every map at every difficulty level, Ill probably lose interest fairly soon and there will also come a day when it will no longer work on current iOSs. Id really like to keep playing though and a couple of enhancements could guarantee that! At one point this was a paid app but now it looks like it might be free so we're afraid we may be out of luck on the updates, etc but we hope not.
Fun and addictive after a few missions in.
We have been playing tower defense games for a long time and this is pretty cool. There is a lot going on in this game which makes it far less passive than most. The upgrades for the hero are a fairly cool twist on the idea. It brings a touch of the D&D feel to the main character. We have tried several TD games lately and this one is by far the best we have come cross in quite a while. 4.9 out of 5 – after the first 4 maps that's a great score, we will come back after a few more to see if it deserves the 5!!! This game really is a challenge and we can't remember when we have failed on the early levels in anything in a long time… This game has a lot going on for a new player. Have fun.

RPG aspects are great. In game purchases aren't necessary to advance in game which is also a great thing.
A pretty solid and fun TD game. The only downside is that it's too short (hence the 4 stars).

We a big fan of TD games. We used them to zone out. This one so far seems fun, challenging, and has a lot going on to keep your interest. We'll repost if things change as we play more, but great fun so far.
If you like TD games with lots of gear and a hero, you'll like this.
Entertaining mix of tower defense and RPG.
Easy controls and not too difficult learning curve makes for a good game.
If you have already sunk 30 hours into Kingdom Rush and you need a change of scenery to this out.
Story is just down right awful, we don't even know why they bothered. RPG mechanics don't really serve a useful purpose in the game. As for the TDP portion, it's subpar. We've played worse, but there are much better options out there.
The tower defense genre may be overcrowded, with most games lacking originality and/or polish, but Crystal Reign has an abundance of both and stands out in a crowded field. Well worth the asking price, and the IAP isn't required or recommended, as the game is perfectly balanced. These are clearly developers who care about their product and customers more than their bottom line.
The game is great! There is not very many levels but the gameplay and level interactions make the game exciting and fun.
Solid, polished TD. We've played a lot and this one is great. The role playing elements really make it fun. Worth the $.
We're really enjoying the game but have finished the first map and cannot go any further? Completed all levels on the two difficulties available (the third is not available it seems). We'll give it a 5th star if we can get an answer on the lack of content or what we're doing wrong to get through to the next map.
Good game. But after crashing, the save file was damaged. Plz fix it.
We think this is the best TD game we've ever played, but about halfway though it just stopped working, and corrupted our save. When they fix it, it will be perfect.
