THIS GAME IS MEANT TO BE PLAYED WITH FRIENDS IN PERSON. IF YOU ARE ALONE YOU CANNOT PLAY!
Dark Stories is an easy to play and fun game but some of the stories are quite difficult. All the stories are fictional. To solve them, the players will need to prove their skills as detectives.
HOW TO PLAY
Dark Stories must be played in group. A person -chosen as narrator- picks a mystery and reads its description aloud.
Then he/she reads its solution without telling the other people. The rest of the players then have to make questions in order to solve the mystery.
The narrator can only answer the questions using "Yes", "No" or "It is not relevant". The only possible solution is the one given at the back of each mystery card. If the answer is still not clear enough, the players must follow the narrator's interpretation of the mystery.
EXAMPLE
A typical fragment of a gameplay could be:
Player1: "Did he die because of the shot?"
Narrator:"No"
Player2: "Was he poisoned?"
Narrator: "No"
Player3: "Did he have children?"
Narrator: "It's not relevant"
Player1: "Are there other people in the story?"
Narrator: "No"
Player2: "Did he commit suicide?"
Narrator: "Yes"
…
END OF THE GAME
When the narrator considers that the story has been solved enough, the narrator can conclude the game and read the whole solution.
It is up to the narrator to give some clues if the story is in a deadlock.

Community Insight:
We are a huge fan of lateral thinking puzzles, and have been for many years. These think- outside-the-box riddles sharpen brain skills and help you learn problem solving abilities. Our husband and we always have the game with us (on our phone) and we like to play it while dining in restaurants or waiting in doctors offices, etc. Our one and only complaint is that we have played all the puzzles and are now eagerly awaiting more to be added, hopefully SOON!!! Thank you so much! :).
Our whole family enjoys these riddles. Some are old favorites but most are new to us. One question though, is there a version without so much murder? Our 7 yo doesnt like that part of it.
We love this app! It really makes you think outside of the box! We love making our friends use their head and hearing what their answers will be to these wild riddles! Also, having some of the riddles be locked makes sure that youre not looking at all of the riddles in one day. This is one of our favorite apps! Also, add a few more riddles if you can. Thank you.
There are a lot of lateral thinking games out there and they all share the common trait of unsolvable unless you play in a group. That said, we found the stories in this game very inventive and a notch better than the rest. There are not so many repeats or common stories you get in Dark Stories.
We like all the stories we have a lot of fun with this game but we wish we could play it online with other people all over the world or with with friends we can invite and have a chat to ask. This definitely could be a game you could play online or with computer. Like monopoly we can play with the computer, with online friends and also our friend added by creating a room and sharing a code for the group. This would be great especially on quarantine times when people rather not hang out.
Was excited to play. Everything about it seemed cool, but the writers are not good at presenting scenarios that have enough logic or wit. Its like a kid fantasized and asked you to guess what hes thinking. Pretty ridiculous. Hire some writers and maybe youll have a shot.
The game is great, you guys should add more stories and make them free because some people may not have money to buy them.
Like how really bad jokes are made from the punchline and backwards from there, really bad riddles are made with a solution in mind, and work back from that point.
The game is very good!! Hope you will update more stories soon.
Some stories are too easy but generally talking its AMAZING.

Us parece un juego muy divertido para estar en grupo, adems que se puede jugar en cualquier momento y lugar. Obliga a pensar y te acabas riendo muchsimo.
Muy buena, parece absurda la dinmica del juego .. Pero una vez lo pruebas te enganchas.
