From the minds of Avenged Sevenfold comes Hail to the King: Deathbat, a 3rd person, overhead dungeon crawler action RPG in the vein of The Legend of Zelda, Gauntlet Legends, and Diablo.
The game’s story is based on the mythical origin of the Deathbat, Avenged Sevenfold’s logo and mascot. The game’s design is not for the faint of heart as players will need to traverse massive levels, combat skillful undead, and best unforgiving bosses. The epic story follows Andronikos, the resurrected King of the Underworld and the embodiment of the Deathbat, who is tasked with reclaiming the lands of Haides from the despotic Dark Andronikos. Along the way you’ll mix and match brutal melee combat with projectile magic attacks battling through beautifully designed and hellish landscapes inspired by the band’s iconic discography and artwork. Interact with characters along the way to solve puzzles and unlock the mysteries of Moros Island.
Hail to the King: Deathbat features classic Avenged Sevenfold tracks along with a new and original score, composed by the band in the immortal tradition of 8-bit masterpieces like Castlevania.

Replaying this game with the release and loving it as much as we did the first time but now we can actually play on our iPad!! Hope this means maybe there will be more levels added or something big coming!!

We are so excited to see it has been updated so we can play it once again on our phone! Its the only game app we have ever and will ever make in app purchases. Its so addicting and we thoroughly enjoy the vintage game feel to it.
This is one of the best and hardest mobile games we’ve ever played if your in for the challenge and the countless great avenge sevenfold tracks and references this is the game for you.

We really enjoy playing this game! Just wish we could play it on our Xbox One.
We love this game, played it all the time when it first launched. Am happy to see it is still available w added controller support (though we wish the game let us use potions and pause w a DualShock, currently we cannot and dont know why, have to keep crossing room to pause w touch screen!) other than that, its a solid game w a banger soundtrack up there w some of the Castlevania titles and some design choices that show a clear love of retro gaming history. Would love if A7X did another game.

It has a a 4 because you have to have a game club account in order to go further. The story but the music is really on point.
We downloaded this game about a year ago or so, now all of the sudden, we cant play it because we dont have a cube whatever account! Screw this stupid game! Ill play a real game!
Wasnt even able to play a demo without subscribing to some paid service which is absolutely not happening.
We love this game and the band but really just to play the game you have to pay $4 a mont just to play thats stupid like are you that poor of a company to make a cool game a monthly subscription bruh fix your crap make it free you peaces of crap.
Been a fan of A7X for a long long time. Bought this game when it originally came out. Loved it beat it unlocked everything. Deleted it. And just recently downloaded it again and we still have fun with it. We wish theyd make a sequal or something tbh.
Doesnt display properly on iPhone se the not shows black screen and some of the sword.

(2015) HELLZZZ YESSS, So much more entertaining then we expected… You guys nailed it! So much more intense with the update! (2020) Update: Niiiice, we logged into game club and all our previous purchases were restored on all our devices and continued us right where we left off after beating the game the first time around 4 years ago. We get to continue playing exactly where we left off trying to beat it the second time around with the happy face flames in blue and all our characters we bought!!!
The game is alright, but the fact that Gameclub (The subscription that you’re basically forced to have to play this game) is always rearing it’s ugly head.
We love the game but we hate that you have to pay $4.99 just to get to the second level and other thing.
Im super glad this game made a comeback.

This is sssooo much fun! We never play video games, so Im dying quickly while figuring things out but man its great!
The game is very well thought out. Makes us feel like Im playing an old school hack n slash. The game is challenging. You need to figure out your next step, there is no hand holding which is a breath of fresh air.
Pretty fun, perfect way to pass time. Especially if you enjoy Avengeds’ music.

This game is amazing and we love it, but the only problem is, our gameplay is dull because for some reason them music in-game doesn’t work… If we get into a boss battle we do t hear the opening guitar rift to Unholy Confessions like we used to on our old iPhone 5. We play on an iPhone 6+ now. Could you guys please take a look at this?

Just every thing about this game is incredible! It’s levels are well laid out. The main character and the enemies are well drawn. The fact that a hard rock band would take the time to make a game like this just shows how much they care about their fans Satisfaction. 10/10.

Just beat it. Planning to buy all the characters soon for the achievement. This is a great game. Challenging at first and few bugs. But 10/10 we plan to play again!

We’re about 2 hours into the game and we’re enjoying the hell out of it!! It has that old school feel with no maps or npcs telling you what to do just explore find out yourself. It’s challenging and keeps you coming back for more. Nicely done guys.
If you’re an avenged sevenfold fan of corse you’re going to buy this game and love it but if not, you still probably will! The game plays great, has a fun combat system and an interesting story line! (Don’t even get us started about the sound track). It feels like a mix of Diablo and the legend of Zelda and the game is just awesome on iOS, it’s very worth your time! FoREVer!!
Deathbat is one of the premier games available on iOS- But it has one problem. The game is very challenging, and basically requires you to buy one of the band members’ characters. As a hardcore A7X fan, this is no problem for us, but we could see it infuriating some people who don’t follow the band, and who don’t have enough money for the game AND a $2 character. Like the description says; it’s a lot like Diablo, but even better.

It’s a great game to play. Different then the games that are coming out like Candy Crush or Angry Birds, but better. It’s adventurous and has a good story.
