Description

Just in time for Rayark’s 10th anniversary comes a sequel to their classic IP, DEEMO.

A kingdom created through music faces an uncertain future after a monster called ‘The Ancestor’ plagues the land with a destructive ‘Hollow Rain’. This dangerous rain causes anyone it touches to ‘bloom’, turning into a flurry of white flower petals and ultimately vanishing from existence.
DEEMO II follows Echo, a girl who has bloomed but mysteriously re-appeared, and Deemo, an enigmatic station Guardian, as they journey through this rain-soaked world in hopes of finding a way to save it.

Features:

▲A Mysterious and Emotional Story:
Why did ‘The Composer’, the elusive being who created this world, suddenly abandon it? Why and how did Echo bloom and then come back to life? Accompany Echo as she uncovers the secrets behind these questions, journeying to uncover the truth and save the world.

▲A Combination of Rhythm and Adventure:
Explore Central Station with Echo, interacting with your surroundings as you get to know the many station residents while discovering clues and ‘Charts’, magical pieces of music with the power to clear away Hollow Rain. As Deemo you’ll play those Charts, putting your musical skills to the test in fun and challenging rhythm sections, ultimately moving the story forward.

▲30 Core Songs + DLC Song Packs for a Total of 120+ Tracks:
Composers from around the world, including Japan, Korea, Europe and the Americas, have created an eclectic array of tracks for DEEMO II with an emphasis on acoustic instrumentation. Genres include Classical, Jazz, Chill Pop, J-Pop, and more. Infectious, emotive melodies will give music lovers dozens of fast favorites, and creative, syncopated rhythms will make sure rhythm-game aficionados have plenty to sink their teeth into.

▲Make Friends with Over 50 Station Residents:
Central Station is full of characters with their own personalities and stories. As Echo, you can chat with them as they walk about Central Station, living their lives, opening paths to different topics depending on the situation. As you talk with them and get to know them, you’ll start to feel like you’re part of an eccentric new community.

▲Storybook Graphics and Artstyle:
DEEMO II marries hand-drawn backgrounds with 3D models and a meticulous attention to detail that will make you feel like you’re caught in a storybook, or an anime come to life.

▲Movie-Quality Animated Scenes:
DEEMO II is full of high-quality anime cutscenes, fully voiced by professional Japanese voice actors. Pair that with music composed by DEEMO and Sdorica vets, and you’ve got an audio and visual treat.

Rayark is well-versed in rhythm-game production, with popular titles like Cytus, DEEMO, Voez, and Cytus II under their belt. They are well-known for mixing fun and fluid rhythm gameplay with visual flair and deep storylines, providing full, rewarding experiences to get lost in.

DEEMO II Review

Very pretty game play is fun though we wish it was easier to figure out how to calibrate for headphones.

IPads and Android phones have had 120hz for 5 years, iPhones have had it for 2, please give us 120fps support.

Loved this game to death and we were still looking forward to new updates but we cannot thoroughly enjoy it anymore due to AI art being prioritized over ACTUAL artists. Do better rayark.

Loved Deemo to death, hadnt found the time to get into this sequel. But hearing that the company fired humans to replace their hard work on the games beautiful art with AI art has soured our memories of the first game and destroyed our interest in the second. When all artists are out of work, who will the AI steal from to produce its inferior junk art, have you considered that? Hire back your human artists and PAY THEM PROPERLY.

Company fired their whole art team to use AI generated art, disappointing. Wont be supporting this game any longer.

Its jarring and insulting. The most heart-touching pieces are drawn by human artists, and their feelings cannot be replicated by a computer. We cannot support a game who fired all their artists to be replaced by cheap AI.

We cannot support a company that fired its artists to use AI art instead.

We really loved this game when we played it, it has a sort of calming soundtrack from what we remember, and we enjoyed the overall feel and art style. Unfortunately, the company who made this game recently fired all of their artists and replaced them with AIs, which is something wrong on many levels. Often capable artists have trouble finding jobs and making adequate amounts of money, and on top of that AIs are trained off of non-consenting artists work. Artists deserve to be paid, and their art shouldnt be used for this kind of thing without their consent. We cant bring myself to continue playing their games if this is the way they treat their artists.

We’ve been playing Deemo 2 for quite some time, until we got bored of it. Why? Its PAY TO WIN. You have to legit PAY to get more song packs, and its just annoying!! We had to rely on the same songs over and over again, and theres absolutely no free songs or song packs. ADD MORE FREE SONGS AND SONG PACKS PLEASE!!

Currently we’ve only done chapter one of the story, but we enjoy what theyre setting up. A lot of the songs are pretty good, although some are misses, though thats expected with every rhythm game. The visuals are IMMACULATE and just looking at the game is pure eye candy. The use of colors is beautiful and we love the wonky town people! Great game, very fun and pretty.

Honestly this is some of the best music from a rhythm game we’ve heard especially on a mobile game too plus the story is great with cutscenes in between definitely high quality and itll be cool to have more people talking about this game.

We love this game since deemo 1 and the dev is amazing, since first release the game always crash on our ipad 6th gen but they already patch it and had a great performance on our device!

A gorgeous game with music that Im having trouble staying awake listening to. If we had to choose to keep just three games on our phone, Id make sure to keep this one.

The first one was the best we planet for heathers for heart but..

The game includes many hours of gameplay and was overall the most enjoyable game we’ve ever played on our phone. Great music and challenging levels to practice hand eye coordination. Some levels may be very difficult even for people that play the piano (such as me). As well as all this there are very beautiful cut scenes that appear every time you reach a certain checkpoint they are very pretty and some even tell very heartwarming stories. DEEMO II WAS A DISSAPOINTMENT, DO BETTER RAYARK!!!

The game is great! The style of the art, the storyline, plot, everything! No argument against those details. Although, we didnt really expect the downloading to be really long for us. We guess im not really complaining since this phone is old, and it may be slow and laggy for downloading time, but otherwisethis game is really what we wanted! The reason why im actually playing this is because the other rythm game we play is taking too long to download on this phone, while we play it on our other phone. Yes its still downloading while im typing this review, but we did watch the trailer and watch others play it so we did get a quick peek of what id be doing throughout our gameplay of it. We did also see the reviews of the first game of this, the original DEEMO, so we are also looking forward to check through that if we want to see what happened first before what happened in this game, DEEMO II.

This game has been fun loads of graphics, and gameplay , we enjoy playing this game on our free time .

We dont think we wouldve thought about using a grayish color palette but we will now, Also love the little blob creatures, theyre so adorable!

The only problem we have with this game is that a few days into playing, theres some background piano to the songs. We’ve tested it out a few rounds and its the accuracy of how Im playing over the actual song. Its pretty annoying because it doesnt sound nice mixed with the actual music, and even if we get all the notes right with all gold, it still has a delay which makes it sound bad. We never had a problem with it until today which is weird because we made more mistakes then we did now. Everything else about the game is wonderful besides that and we just wanted to let the creators know :)

We recently changed our phone to iPhone 14 Pro Max and the game has a very noticeable frame drop during the entire course of each song (like it feels like less than 20fps) and stutters a lot that it plays even worse than our previous phone iPhone X. We first thought it was because the game was incompatible with ProMotion (120hz) but nope, even if we turn off that feature the game still stutters. Also the developers have been refusing to fix the game often not recognizing our touch. It will be a very long list of occasions in which we couldnt 100% songs just because the game for some reason refused to recognize our touch at most random moments.

Dont leave many reviews but we had to for this one, loved DEEMO reborn. So we had to try this one and was blown away the world and the cutscenes brought us more into the game than any other rhythm game. The collections of songs are great and the game it self plays great! Would recommend to all who like rpg, puzzlers, anime, and rhythm games.

We usually dont play rhythm games (mostly puzzle or idle games), but YO, THIS IS SO GOOD??? The incremental challenges, graphics, music, little back stories and art for EVERYONE +++. Still playing through the main game, still having fun.

Flawless rhythm gameplay and a beautiful, mysterious world to explore, just like the first one. The story part is greatly expanded. Lots of twists and turns and we cant wait to find out where its going. Im upgrading our review to 5 stars after the release of Chapter 2, because Im confident the game will only get better as more content is added. Already there are plenty of songs, most of which can gradually be obtained for free simply by playing a few songs per day. The events with additional new songs are a great way to keep the game fresh between chapters. We were initially worried about the free-to-play transition, but after purchasing the Arcanum we feel its close enough to a premium experience. Not a case of greedy developers, but a responsible way to fund new content.

Game is great, plays like deemo, except with a bunch of other things added on to it. Now as for the small concern, we’ve played the game(s) on our iPhone 12 pro max and it ran just fine, but we just reinstalled it onto our iPhone 14 pro max and both games seem to have frame issues when pressing on the tiles and it throws off our rhythm. Aside from that, its a good game and would definitely recommend, but itd be nice to have said issue resolved :^)

So the game has limited time events every week. And these challenges give little art and a new music sheet to play. Burn of you miss finishing the event you cant get them anymore. There are even costume and art packs that are limited time that become gone forever. They did implement pay to get missing music but thats just for the events and not limited time music packs. If you didnt start day one dont start now.

Aside from the actual piano gameplay itself, Deemo II is much worse than the original game. The biggest drawback being that story progression is now locked behind timed resources similar to most other mobile games, in opposition to the original Deemo that provided EXTRA resources to zip through the story and unlock all songs much more quickly. Other than this, the sequel is riddled with other microtransactions. Both games have song packs to buy, but the sequel has events that can only be played a little until you need to buy more in game resources. If you want to progress through the story faster and get rid of some of the timed aspects, again, you can buy it. Lastly, the game has much more tedious JRPG elements, like running around and solving rudimentary puzzles to unlock sheet musics, which is only one difficulty for a song at a time. If you play on a higher difficulty and arent interested in lower difficulties, much of this wastes time. Most of the decisions for the sequel make no sense for a rhythm game outside of money making. If you want one of the best rhythm game experiences on mobile, stick with the original Deemo. Very disappointed in this long-awaited followup.

The game is graphically gorgeous and mechanically sound, and surprisingly coming from this developer, however it isnt clear how exactly you are supposed to progress once you get through the main tutorial section, and as a result we still have the same like four songs to play and thats it. It was frustrating to be approaching it from seemingly every angle and still not make progress, so we havent touched the game since.

We love the style of the game and to know is a rhythm game is even better, this is in general the most beautiful and amazing game we’ve played.

This game is so cute and it has a lovely story.

This game is simple yet enjoyable, isnt loaded with pay walls and tutorial covers up everything. Everything is simple to understand! Isaac.

The game itself is just WOW the art style of the game its like anime and 3D art put together and white um creature is our fav character he or well whatever it is we love it and the music omg THE MUSIC IS SO GOD DANG GOOD we fell we one with it when we first heard it well today we heard we but still we love your game so much you and your team did a great job!

We loved the first DEEMO, so when we saw this existed, we nearly jumped out of our seat! The music is beautiful, And the story is amazing so far. The only part we dislike, (and thats strongly) is the addition of in-app purchases other than song packs, and stamina. Its super annoying to have to either wait a really long time for stamina to recover, so gameplays more smooth, or purchase the coffee item with real money to recover stamina faster. We recommend this game, if you dont mind long wait times for smoother/easier gameplay.

This game is good, but its kind of boring. The songs are good, but not top tier and the micro transactions just . Def a downgrade from other Rayark games, but its not really a bad game. Id rather have a Cytus 3 in an alternative world with Ivy anda Vanessa together than DEEMO II with no connection to the original DEEMO in terms of storyline. We really cant find myself getting attached to this game, no matter how excited we were for it before. In short, its a disappointment.

Lots of songs and good story. The events and tasks are a very nice addition. We recently changed our rating from 5 to 3 stars because we feel the events have become too difficult. Going from easy to normal mode is a small jump in difficulty. Normal to hard is an insane difficulty jump and requires perfect gameplay. Im not opposed to this difficulty option but we feel there should be another in-between difficulty as the jump is too big and normal difficulty is boringly easy most times.

We respect what they are trying with the story and exploration, and they actually did okay in that regard. But we honestly dont care much about the story. We play Deemo because we like the songs and they are fun to play. However, Something in Deemo 2 doesnt sit right with us. The notes fall in a more narrow horizontal column and it is less forgiving in relation to the speed. We like the new holding notes mechanic and the speed up/slow down, but they arent utilized well. Most charts are either incredibly boring or way too difficult. Deemo 1 had some songs like that, but there were only a few and we would either play them for the challenge or because we liked the song. Deemo 2s song list just isnt as good IMO. Really the only two songs we like are Felzione and Karanosu, both of which are fun and challenging to play, so no complaints there. However, every other song is either boring or just plain bad. We really tried to give the game a chance but ultimately we always return to Deemo 1. Hopefully they add more songs that are bangers with good charts to boot. Ill check in again every once in a while.

Title is self explanatory, we cant support a company that does nfts.

Outstanding from sound effect to the music and story its a great conversation starter.

As a long time fan of the first Deemo, this game failed to capture us as much as the first one did. We played it for a couple hours and gave up on it. Definitely had high hopes for this. Ill be sticking to the first game though.

Yall realize that you can still play songs and get progress done even after you use all 10 points.
