We bought this game along with Build-A-Train, and importing trains works for us. If you have a device thats the IOS 10 model or later, download both of them, and youll be fine. To be honest, this game is pretty solid, with easy-to-paint locomotives and cars, bright colors, and the ability to import your trains and railcars!
This app only allows you to color a train car. To run it on a track app takes you to purchase another app. Ver disappointed!
We have been playing’ DESIGN A TRAIN! ‘ ever since we bought it, last week. This app is great because our grandson loves trains and this program he says, it’s amazing and also awesome. Thank you so much for giving us fun time together!

We loved this app but now it doesnt work with the new iOS update and its even a paid for app. Hopefully it gets fixed soon to be compatible and then our review will change to 5 stars.

We have had Build a Train for years and our son loved it. The description indicated that we could design a train with the Design a Train app and import the train over to Build a Train. Not possible. Thanks guys, our 5 year old is crying and doesn’t understand why mommy can’t gets his trains over to Build a Train. You need to make it clear that it’s not possible and your app description is deceptive.
We like how we turn our designed train in to puzzles and build it in build a train we like coloring a train and stickering our train but we needs more stickers like metro Amtrak Union Pacific metrolink stickers. Metro metro-link Amtrak Union Pacific trains are here in our state california.
Many many hours have been played. We don’t find it very intuitive, but our kid loves it and seems to have figured it out.
Our son could drain our battery just playing this game.
Design a train is interesting to our five year old grandson but it took him a little while to figure out what he needed to do. Once over that hurdle, he quickly moved through the levels. It seems to be a reasonable compromise between repeating operations and achieving attainable goals. It holds his interest far longer than would have guessed.
Our 6 yr old son bought this app and he was very disappointed in the very limited scope of its functionality. He did like the build a train app though.
We love both train games but we cannot import the train we just painted. What’s up with that? Our grandson is very disappointed after he was told he could run the train he just painted. Please fix or if we’re inform us how it’s done.
Our 6 year old son is infatuated with trains. This game (and Build a Train) are the two that seem to really capture his attention! He would play them for hours if he were allowed!
We always wanted a train game we found one it is awsome.
Fun little basic coloring of engines and the stickers are nice. Nice feature to be able to print via iPhoto . Add to train feature doesn’t work – tap on the button and the app quits. Thought it might be our iPad since we had some issues but we got it fixed and it still does it. Would have given it 5 stars if that worked.
We love build a train and design a train but can you link the 2 together. We think that will make them both better.

Our 4 yr old grandson loves. Nice when you add new engines and cars to keep his interest.
Don’t get us wrong,its fun,but it needs more.
Nice game but wish that you could link it in with build a train so the kids could watch their creations on the tracks.
This game does not let you delete the first train car engine. Not fun.
Toddler can’t manipulate. Can’t drive trains when finished. Options very limited. Not worth money.
Adding new cars overrides all our previous selections. Seems to be a serious bug.
