Description
Detective Grimoire has been called to investigate a murder.

We usually find these kinds of games to have too much dialogue and not enough interaction, but not this one. There is a lot of dialogue, but it was funny, and the voice acting was excellent, so we felt very caught up in the story. We loved how they made thinking a game mechanic, too. Very creative! We look forward to playing more from this studio!
We always come back to playing this game, and tangled tower. Both are amazing. The plot, the clues, graphics, and voice acting. Its a terrific mystery/ puzzle game. We’ve played many mystery games, and this franchise is still our favorite. Im so excited and cannot wait for whats to come in the Grimoire Series. Although we do wish we could play Tangeled Tower just regular and not on apple play .
Its a good game voice acting is amazing and you feel like you are actually deducing the case and not being led and has good voice acting it just felt like it was short and needs a sequel even if its payed.
First off, we highly recommend this game to murder mystery gamers. So we only discovered this game because of the sequel (in Apple Arcade). After we finished it, we wanted more. Our research into when the next game would be released showed us this game. Without any hesitation, we bought it and finished it flawlessly in one night (just now). It was just as fun as the sequel, though more was added in Tangled Tower (at least we thought so). Sad fact is that it took nearly 5 years from this for the sequel. Lets hope the future games dont need to take as long.
Developer!! Are you blind?? So many sequel requests just make one (or more cases) and youll get loads of money from that one if not more!! And another thing Im at 99% we cant open the museum door and we dont know how to figure out echos tent code.
Its a very well done game. The characters are adorable and whimsical. Quick witted humor. Its a detective game and while there is moving around and pointing and clicking, its not a traditional point and click adventure game if thats what youre looking for. Its hard to know which direction you came from, and after a bit, we discovered there is a map that will take you anywhere you want to go so thanks for that. Its a relatively short game and it may make you feel like youre almost an outsider and the characters interact without you. They come up with their own pre-prepared dialog and most things they say are clues. There really arent any puzzles per say but everything advances the sleuthing. Its a process of information and elimination and you might even consider it educational in practical thinking. This game would be more appealing to younger audiences. Again, what theyve done here is done to perfection and it deserves the 5 stars we gave it, but we needed more head scratching adventuring.
We originally played Tangle tower and loved it, after that our husband found this one and so we had to play it. Its just as amazing as the other and Definitely worth what we payed. At the end of this one though it said to be continued, but tangle tower didnt seem to be the continuation of this story. Will there be more of detective Grimoire? We love this series so much.
The game was very nice. It had a intresting story took us about 2-3 hours overall we think you should get it worth the money!
This game was by far one the the most enjoyable mobile games we have ever played and the ending left us wanting more!!
Graphics, gameplay, storyline, all great. Took us about 5 hours to finish. Makes you feel like an actual detective solving a crime!
Couldnt ask for anything betters our aesthetic, perfect level of difficult. Great acting leaving mysteries unsolved and very engaging. We cant wait for the sequel.

We LOVE THIS GAME! This is the the best mystery game we’ve ever played and its the only one Ill play more than once! By the way,it would be very much appreciated if you could make another game like this one or like Tangle Towers. We just wish Tangle Towers wasnt deleted from the Apple Arcade. PLEASE MAKE MORE!!!
Did we finish it in one evening? Yes. Did we love every second of it? Yeah! Its fun, well animated, the character designs and personalities are all unique and cool (even the women!), and Grimoire is genuinely funny and smarmy. The story was well done- a goofy idea, really (whos first suspect could be boggy, clearly the only truly innocent being here) but has these big hints towards a deep and kinda serious story about secret societies and monsters. Im really looking forward to more adventures with Grim, and his hat! P.s. Please, Im begging you, treat this like an avengers movie and watch till after the credits. Its such an intense vibe.
First of all, this game is stunning. The puzzles are hard, but not impossible, the graphics are nice and clean, and the story is interesting and mysterious. We would definitely like to recommend this game. But we would like to add if they could make a better ending? It feels like they just got lazy. Putting that aside, though, it might be the best mobile game we have ever played.

This game and Tangle tower took so much time and effort to make, we played this game after tangle tower and being the prequel was really cool. Tangle tower has more interesting characters, and better UI. But Detective Grimoire is still amazing. We still think that people dont realize how hard the devs worked to make these games. With all the storylines, graphics, just outstanding.

We loved this game. The ending was great. Tangled towers was great. We love the character designs. We love the repetition movements the characters normally use. We just want the sequel already. Tangled towers was amazing. We played it before this one. You guys truly have a talent and WE WANT MORE!!!
From the second we downloaded the game to the very end we couldn’t put it down. Everything was perfect. The music was beautiful and the characters had so much story to each one of them. The only mistake we noticed was that when asked, Folder had no interest in himself. Other than that, this has been our favorite app in a very long time. Still…a year+ later we want a sequel. We’ve played it multiple times but we just want more. 2020 EDIT: the sequel was incredible and again, Im left needing more!
The dialogue in the game is really glitchy and never completely audible but other than that, its a beautiful game with amazing art and plot.
It crashes all the time! The game is definitely good so far but it keeps crashing when we get to the house and attempt the door lock puzzle.
Loved the flash original and now this Detective Grimoire! Awesome characters, writing and overall mystery. Theyve got a great framework for a detective game that keeps it from ever getting tedious. Cant wait to start Tangle Tower! Unfortunately though for this title, it crashed multiple times on our iPhone 7 running the latest version of iOS 13, most often upon tapping the question mark in the top right. It was also a little frustrating to find an item we were missing from outside the office, as it didnt seem like there was much telegraphing it was there, and we felt that we had already searched it thoroughly. Also it ends kind of abruptly, though not as abruptly as the flash game, at least. There was some weird reluctant dialogue from Grimoire that didnt make any sense to us. Still loved the experience overall though, and highly recommend it of course!
Very well done. Really enjoyed the animations and the voice acting, they added a nice spark to this game that many others on mobile dont have. We just wish it was longer, or it had one other crime in it to solve.
Hi developer humans, this game took us 2 days to finish!! We think you should make the plot less obvious and the puzzles harder. Other than that, its an AMAZING game. We also finished Tangle Tower, which is pretty amazing as well. It took us three days! In Detective Grimoire, we pretty much knew who the murderer was when we discovered the hunting photo. Other than that, TOTALLY AWESOME EPIC FUN AWESOME GAME!!! Nice job, devs!! It has inspired us a lot!!! How do u come up with these awesome ideas?? From DeadlyKitten.
We bought this bc we love Apple Arcades sequel. This one was good but no where near as much game okay and extremely easy to beat. Love the graphics art and this type/style of game tho. Hope they make a third.
Purchased this after playing Tangle Tower, which is great… Disappointed.
The game was not challenging at all. It reminded us of Dora. The character would ask simple questions and the puzzles were just as simple. At least the designs were pretty.
Really clever, great gameplay, true detective game, can’t wait for a sequel.
Beautifully made, good plot, and hilarious dialogue. Our favorite part about this game? There’s no "find the hidden sock/baseball/whale" puzzles or in-app purchases whatsoever! This app presents an actual mystery with wonderful graphics and an intriguing storyline. 5 stars all around. We can’t wait for the sequel!
We never write reviews, let alone finish games. This one was different. Beautiful art, great story, amazing music, fantastic voice acting, and a few cool puzzles thrown in there. We loved it. Everything in this game is excellent: game play, graphics, animations, sounds, voices, music and story. And we were able to deduce for myself who the killer was, even before reaching the sequence in the game where the clues start to come together. The game reminded us of Monkey Island or the Sam and Max adventures: humorous dialogs and great care in every detail. It is extremely easy to play the game on iOS (I played on an iPhone 5S). We definitely recommend this game to everyone who enjoys "point and click" adventures. And congratulations to the developers for such an excellent piece of art.

This is amazing if ur going to get this game than get it but it does have some glitches.
We normally never review things, but this, this was awesome. We can’t describe it. The graphics were enchanting, although things did get a bot frustrating at times, and the game did freeze some. The characters were amazing, and we can’t wait until the sequel.

We finished it in a day it sucked us in with its in depth characters and tantalizing plot! We were glued to the screen piecing together the clues and solving the mystery along side detective grimoire! Please release more in the series we need a sequel!
Our 8.5 year old daughter loved this app! She can’t wait for another one to come out. It was the perfect level for her and it kept her entertained for hours while she was working through logic puzzles and using deductive reasoning skills. As a mom, we loved it too!

Great game! It has all it promised and more. The illustrations and even acting were really spot on. Very funny and entertaining. Solving the mystery and doing the puzzles, great. We really recommend this game.
Honestly, we wasn’t expecting much when we purchased the game since most of the point and click games we’ve purchased from the App Store have been disappointing, but Detective Grimoire is a solid, fun game. No glitches, not too easy and not a short game either. If you’re on the fence about purchasing this game, just do it! You won’t regret it!
The 2 problems are this . No sequel . Its too good of a game Seriously we can’t be the only one who thinks this should be made into a movie. The characters are entertaining and memorable. The story is unpredictable. The voice acting and music is Amazing. And the haunt the house reference was kind of cool. We wish we could give this a 1000000000000000000000000 star rating. It would even be on our top 5 list of video games . The opening looks cooler than counterspy(another great game). This is a masterpiece. Byoutiful.
