Really love that they’ve updated the app to include the newest starter decks and the ACE mechanic. Very fun to play with the full 50 card decks instead of half-decks like in the previous version of the game. We hope they add more decks in the future as well!

Hello, we’ve been researching on how to play this game & we definitely agree with a lot of player in the community that we wish this card game will have more ads invested into it especially since its new. Hopefully this card game works out as it looks enjoyable.

We have never once paid for an app or in-app purchase. We would buy a complete version of this game. Super fun, easy to understand, and full of nostalgic monsters. Please make it a full game.

This needs to be adapted into a full iOS game its a lot of fun!

Man we hope they make an app like this where you can register your decks from the cards we’ve collected.

Everything is great, but it needs the ability to collect cards, customize folders/decks, & have unlimited playability against CPU; With more options to allow choosing of ones folder/deck & opponents folder/deck.

This game is so good! We really need a full game ASAP! Here in the west its hard to find cards and even harder to find people to play with. An online alternative would be great especially if it followed the free to play format if other games like hearthstone and yugioh.

We fell in love with the Digimon card game and we really hope they make a full Digimon TCG app. Thisll do for learning the game.

We personally have been a huge fan of Digimon since we were a child and we are extremely excited for the TCG and if we get the OCG then we would be ecstatic. Please make this a reality soon! Try to make it so that the cards you can get are up to date within the previous year of the game at least.

The Digimon card game is waaaaay better then pokemon card game. Its more in depth and you need to think 2 steps ahead. It makes you think. Cant wait to play the game when it comes out. Tho we would love if they made a full fledged game on consoles.

This game is pretty good at teaching you how to play the game. However, after playing many, many games with these half decks, we want to do more. We wish there could be other cards, and allow you to build your own deck and a lot of other cool things. We know that the English release of the card game is coming up in January, but Im impatient, and want to play more than with just these 3 decks. It would be nice if this digital version would be fully realized, but we have a feeling that wont happen (but it would be nice, especially during a pandemic). We really hope it does get fully realized though, after all DIGIMON is literally Digital Monsters in Japanese, so a digital app would be good. Regardless of whether or not more would be added to this game, it is definitely a good download to anyone who wants to learn how to play the game.

PLEASE MAKE THIS INTO A REAL GAME LIKE POKEMON TCG!! You clearly have the technology to do so lol. Amazing tutorial. Pretty Challenging tho. Cant wait till physical cards come out for US!!

This really taught us how to play the game very well and has us beyond excited for the physical tcg to release! Would love it if they used this engine to build a full online tcg experience in the way Pokemon has codes in their physical card packs. Happy to see Digimon going strong after all these years!

Finished all the half decks and we really enjoyed the time we spent learning the rules and seeing how unique this system is in the card game world. It for sure borrows some elements from larger games such as yu-gi-oh but the security deck concept is interesting and the gamble of rushing out a higher level Digimon to out maneuver your opponent adds a lot of unique play styles. All in all this got us super excited for a new Physical TCG game that will hopefully catch on and get popular around the world and not just in Japan. TG.

This tutorial is really nice at teaching the basics/getting people into the game. We’ve given it to several friends and theyve been able to pick it up quickly! We hope the success/interest of this app will also appeal to the developers to make an official digitial version of the game as well!

Im still learning to play on the tutorial, but it would be awesome of you guys made a full on card game on the mobile app. We know we would play it.

Tutorial app is ok but not enough to fully understand the mechanic. It would be really nice if the will be online version like Pokemon TCG or Magic the Gathering. Mobile versions always double the cash for developers especially if there will be real tournaments and not just webcam version.

We love this it taught us well but we would like it to well be something like duel links where its well just the Digimon card game but online not just a tutorial also if you can please can you make a DarkDramon dim card its our favorite Digimon of course many people make requests and you probably wont do this but if your gonna make another dim card for the Digimon vital bracelet please make it a DarkDramon dim card overall this tutorial is great.

Bandai needs to make an official video game for the TCG it would make learning the game easier because this tutorial sets up basic gameplay and thats all . Hopefully one day theyll read this and make a game.

Bro yall need to update this into a full game with more card and deck variety and give us the option to battle people online. Like the other reviewer said card availability is scarce in the west and a full blown mobile game could really bolster interest and give people an accessible entry into the game.

This game is too good to not be a fully playable online tcg!

This is our first ever review for a card game, we have played a lot in the past 14 years of our life and have thankfully enjoyed it so far. This is our opinion, please dont just look at ours when getting into this game. This app is great over all, would suggest it to anyone who is slightly interested. Then when you think about getting into it, think first before you do. This game is unique but reminded us too much of Weiss Schwartz and Cardfight Vanguard. The only difference being that you could lose your monster in this game rather then its attack being blocked. The breeding phase is also unique, which leads to people having it feel more consistent with each match. You also have the choice to attack directly which is nice leading to a little more strategy. We so far have not went further into the meta of this game to give it a fair argument on balance. The last thing we have to say is before getting into this game check out Magic The Gathering Arena or Duel Links before making the decision of going into Bushiroad like cars games. If you are a huge Digimon fan then go for it, but if you want to continue in this first read up on budget decks and people judging the trial decks. This information will help you in the future in case you go to a FLGS (Friendly Local Game Store). This is our opinion which means it should only give you an idea to either be fine with it or disagree. Either way do what makes you have fun, and please dont get into this game without doing research. Also dont buy booster packs early into this game, buy singles instead, its cheaper.

This app explains the basics of how to play and also has a really tutorial system. Im impressed considering that the actual card game is physical and not digital. We cant wait to buy the real cards and play with friends its so fun! This is honestly a really fun card game we havent enjoyed cards this much since Yugioh.

PLEASE expand this to the full game and put it on the Switch too. You’ve got a winner, but card games are all online now.

Needs a story mode like the original Digimon card battle for ps1.

We find myself playing the app over and over even though we know its only 3 decks. It should let you scan your cards into the app or update the app for a full version. We love DIGIMON been a fan since we were a baby. Keep it coming!

Just make this the full game. Your profits will rocket on a international digital platform.

GREAT TUTORIAL!! We CANNOT WAIT FOR THE PHYSICAL CARDS TO RELEASE IN JAN. 2021! DIGIMON IS LOVED WORLDWIDE AND ITS TIME TO SHINE BRIGHTER THAN EVER IS UPON US 2021 WITH THIS EXPLOSIVE TCG! P.S. GO WATCH THE NEW DIGIMON ADVENTURE 2020 REMAKE AND MOVIE LAST EVOLUTION, IT MADE ME CRY!

Just make a full game, you will absolutely get collectors to buy the cards irl, but others need to know how fun it is!!! A tutorial isnt enough for that.

That is all thats the whole review. Give the fans what they want.

First off Id like to say, Im a big Digimon fan (tamer boys). We’ve literally been screaming on Twitter every few weeks for a mobile client to play this game since we heard of its release. We watch a ton of YouTube videos on it. Im super happy to see that there is some work being done on one. We do like that this teaches the game, but as a previous review noted, the half decks are a little underwhelming. We hope in the near future you guys release a mobile CCG similar the original game if not the same, being we have immunity issues now more than ever we need mobile card games to scratch our itch. If you can find a good balance of something to duel links, though Id prefer a full card game experience personally thatd be great. Runeterra is probably the best model of a successful mobile CCG to look at imo. Its pretty much made the others not worth playing imo. We will suggest, that if you do make a full client, make it easy to get cards but as a entry, have someone purchase a starter of their choice. Also if you are planning to do a full mobile CCG (please), Id like to throw our hat in for beta testing. Thank you for your time, and Im very excited about the Digimon Card Game.

We wouldve never known how to play. We would play all the time if it was a full game.

Been looking to get into DIGIMON tcg and found this tutorial; there are two, teach you how to play levels and three full battles against AI. Im here to say the Red deck battle was pretty tough! Im no tcg expert but we’ve been casually playing our whole life and the first tutorial felt like the red deck is just garbage and not to buy it if starting out. The blue deck is by far the best deck out of the tutorial. The app wont fit your phone screen perfectly but its serviceable enough for the 20-60 minutes you might play it to see if you like the game before buying physical cards. Holding on the card will bring up more details on the card as well. Overall the app could be more appealing but we understand its also just a quick tutorial app and it works great. Will definitely be picking up some starter decks to play with friends.

We know this is a tutorial and we appreciate the efforts Bandai has put in to make an immersive and easy to learn method on how to play the game. However, this is a dying game here in the states and needs a TCG app like Yu Gi Oh has done already. We never played Digimon in our life but always wanted to and now that we understand, we want more! You guys already have a solid frame for the game all you need to do is well finish it and make it a complete game. Im ready to drop some money on this but honestly we dont see myself buying the cards since we dont see myself hunting done a community whom actually play this likely located nowhere near where we live. Please listen to us.

Needs to update the starter decks tho to make it more relevant.

This game was a great idea to build more hype for the card game, but they need to bite the bullet and make a full version. Even if that just means full decks, thats fine. But playing match after match with half decks will get you nowhere. Hopefully, after learning the rules most players will try to find an alternative online. Otherwise, this app is wasted. A full app is needed, now. This game is dying in the west because of lack of access to cards, and this is an easy work around. Let people build decks, unlock cards, and play each other online. Its simple.

4 stars because we love Digimon and this game is really fun start. People gave it 1 star because they didnt read, hold the card you want to see and you will get full screen details of the card. We will rate this 5 stars if you add more recent decks to this game, we would love to DNA digivolve. Or have it where you can edit your deck and play more of your style but we understand why this is set up the way it is and we love it we will show our friends this game and hopefully they get into it as well!

We really enjoyed playing the app and we’ve never played the actual game before so it taught us how to play but. We were kind of disappointed when it was only four tutorials and thats it. We were hoping for the tutorials to unlock like the full game so you can play with other people and collect cards in we were hoping it was gonna do something like that but just a app to teach you how to play the game and thats it we give you props we love the game we just wish there was more.

This tutorial tells you how to play and if you didnt already figure it out there are three card matches you can play though we wish they made this card game for a app to play online or a story mode we also think we need more digimon games because rearize is the only other game we would especially like for a digimon heros 2 to come out or just republish the first one thank you for reading.

Its nice in that it leaves you wanting more. Very basic and only 3 very hard matches. Its purely RNG if you start with a good hand. Took us a few tries to beat the A.I. It was still fun. Last one was hard and we got lucky that we decked them out. If a full online game does happen please fix the increasing or decreasing the DP of a digimon. Its boring waiting for your trainers effects to resolve on each of your and your opponents individual digimon. One at a time. Overall, love the new digimon tcg. What a comeback.

Good app, and the card game seems like itll be fun. We suggest making it clearer you have to click your DIGIMON and drag the arrow to attack the enemys security. Also, please make use of the full screen. We have a regular latest gen iPad, and there is unused space on the top and bottom, making the playing field smaller than it should be. The text on the cards is hard to read as a result. Otherwise , it works well and Im excited for the real card game to come out!

This tutorial is great for what it is, but it would be awesome to see it become a real game with multiplayer.

This app is a great way to learn the Digimon TCGs rules! We’ve really enjoyed learning the game, and its clear that thisll be a fun game to play. However, theres a lot of wasted potential in this app that we hope can be corrected. First of all, theres no deck builder, or even a complete deck. All you have is half of each starter deck, which is fine for learning the game, but this could SERIOUSLY get more reach if it was a full simulator for the game. Secondly, the UI can be a little dizzying to navigate sometimes in gameplay. Particularly, selecting a card from your hand gets almost impossible at hand sizes larger than 5, which is a big ask in a game with no hand limit. This is a great start, and with the game so popular in Japan already, Im hoping Bandai capitalized on that and keeps investing in this game, maybe by expanding what this app can do!

For young kids its hard but a good game.

It would be nice to allow the player to check what their cards do during the match instead of the text boxes that show up for a second and a half.

U should make this a full game. We know its only a tutorial but the TCG should have its own app to play w all cards like Pokmon and yugioh have.

This app is both really awesome and terrible at the same time. Its a great way to learn how to play the card game buuuut we think it would serve much better if it were fully fleshed out and used as a way to play the full game with others online rather than just a tutorial on the physical game. We would buy the physical decks just so we could use them on this app against others real players if that were an option. Maybe they could include a code in the box to upload the decks contents to the app. Then we would play this with other players online all the time. Would be a win win. The company would make money and the players could battle others even if no one in their geographical area played the game. This is the age of the internet. Use it guys! This is DIGIMON after all. Make the full game digital!
