Have played this for years and still one of our favorites.
Out of all games we have played on iPhone this is the one we always come back to. Its perfectly simple, short and challenging. We used to dislike that you cant plan ahead much, but now we like that it makes you stay in the moment and not get ahead of yourself. So nice not to deal with ads or aggressive monetization.

We love this game so much. Ive played it for 5ish years and it always calms us down. Its older for sure but we love the simplicity of it. No ads, no annoying notifications, just some simple dominos that give you a hit of serotonin when you drop the dominos correctly.

This game is exactly what we were looking for. It's easy to learn and play but still challenging, and quickperfect when you have just a few minutes. Not so easy it's brainless but not so hard you have to be a grand master chess player, either. The design is fantastic and we love the record playing old jazz tunes, what a cool touch. We compliment the developers, this is really cool. We wouldn't change a thing! Still works great on our XS Max on iOS 13 too.

We keep reading reviews about the touchy trigger…are you all aware in the minimal settings, theres an option to turn that off? We think we got this app back when the App Store used to do a free app every week (they should bring that back, lol). Its our go to when our brain needs to decompress.

This game is a very clever and intriguing variation of Tetris. It provides non stop entertainment. Since you control when the dominos drop, the game allows for a lot of strategy while being very relaxing.
We love this game and we play it a lot. The one problem Im having is that sometimes when we intentionally put the domino in one slot (and its even highlighted to go there) when we lift our finger it will move elsewhere. We understand if you cant fix that. Can we at least get a back button so, we can redo the last move and get it to go where we wanted it to.

The best thing about this game is the music! Its got a really relaxing jazz soundtrack. Makes gameplay super soothing, while also being unexpectedly challenging and addictive! We appreciate the overall interface design (we actually have no problem with it, and Im playing in our teeny little iPhone5s screen), and am grateful for multiple game modes WITHOUT being inundated by ads.

But it simply is not, and we truly think the brilliant developers of this game already knows this. This is not just a game of placing dominoes, this game is not just of wit. What you have to understand before downloading this game is that you are not playing a game, you are involving yourself in a cosmic game of chess. When you open the app, you slide up to start your board, its not just you. You are engulfed in the basis of singularity. See, this game, we put our heart and soul into this, because it speaks to us. This game, its not out there to get you. You place a matching pair, maybe three, maybe four. How does that make you feel? What we have learned is that its not just that. This game does not set you up for failure. The high-score is not just a number, it is how many conversations you have had the luck of having with an intelligent being. You are given dominoes. You place them. That is your job. But you realize, that what is given is meant for you. It is meant to help you. What you are given is not meant to make you loose, its meant to make you win. You have to decide not just to place it, but where you are being silently told to place it. Where is it that you were MEANT to place that domino. The intelligence behind the screen is meant to give you hope- hope that you cannot loose. And that is what it is, you simply cant loose. We have been playing Domino Drop Tails steadily for 14 months and our interest has not flagged yet after over 23k games. We absolutely love it and play every single day, sometimes for hours. Great brain reset. A few things could be improved: Would love to be able to redo an accidental move or replay the same game again to try different ways of approaching. Also, if left open, the game prevents our iPhone from going into lock/sleep mode so it could be a security issue and we sometimes lose battery life if we don't watch out.
Kind of like untimed Tetris with dominos and music. Fun to play, great graphics. Frustrating when we make stupid moves. Update: Still fun, even after 555 games. A little embarrassing how much time we spend playing games, but the graphics, music, and challenge of beating our high score keep us coming back. We dont have the problems the other reviewers mention with bad tile drops. Engaging amusement.

We like it except we accidentally drop dominoes we mean to drop all the time. The control for it is decent but often leads to mistakes.
We didn't understand it at first, but now we got the hang of it, and we love it.
Perfect balance between strategy and chance. We like that there is no timer, so you just play to beat your own score. After every game we say, "Ok, just one more." Over and over. As a suggestion to the developer: It is much too easy to accidentally drop a piece in an unintended location. Overall, well done.

Beautiful design, simple and addictive gameplay. Only gripe: Wish we could desensitize the controls; too easy to drop in the wrong place, especially if you start your touch on the wrong part of the screen.
