Dragonvale: Dragon Farm Island Review
We’ve been playing DragonVale since we had our first tablet we love it dearly.
We think DragonVale has the best dragon designs compared to other dragon games. It has the perfect balance between traditional and cartoony designs. Its also that the dragons have human-like qualities, but never pushes it to where its off-putting (though the sugarplum dragon is the exception). But, every time we try to watch an ad, it crashes, even with low resolution on. Also, why are habitats completely blocked from buying via coins and gems when they are available in the event stores? Lastly, the habitat capacity should be increased or made easier to increase.
We have been playing dragonvale for years unfortunately lost more parks than we can name bur oh well. Our biggest issue is not being able to get habitats that we need so quite a few eggs are just sitting in the hatchery. We have a blue moon dragon and a double rainbow we cant hatch! We dont want to get rid of them since they are rare and hard to breed.
We’ve been an adamant dragonvale player since our youth. It never failed to impress us with its perfect graphics and pops of color. Im in it for the long game. We loved seeing how much this app grew. There is an astounding number of dragons and we cant wait to hatch all of them. We still remember the name of our first dragon, poppycock!. It was a basic plant dragon. We keep growing our dragonvale empire and even spread word of it to our friends. If you want something to brag about, this is it. Make your own dragonvale account and unleash your dragon potential.
We’ve been playing this game ever since we were a kid, and honestly we love it. Theres no ads unless you want to tap on them to get free rewards, all the dragons are super cute, and we love how its not overwhelming design-wise. Also the addition of the little villagers with pride flags during the valentines event was very sweet :) Ill try our best to watch every ad we can because you guys honestly deserve it for such an amazing and awesome game. 8+ years of love from us you guys are amazing.
Been a player since 2011, lost our park in like 2017 after having every dragon, got upset and never played again until 2023. Slowly working our way back up, and Im glad we made the choice to. Oh how we’ve missed the vale.
Ok still 5 stars we love this game we got it when we big sister showed us and we have a higher level than her! Butttt every time we try to play it at our house it says theres a problem we always play it on internet but it just never works.. Please please please look in to this, this is our favorite game and we havent been able to play it for 3 years now please please fix this! But overall this is the best game we’ve ever played! And btw we think Im a level 43 or 44 but anyways thank you so much for reading this really hope is gets fixed!!
When entering the game it shows briefly the starting point of the game and then glitches out and we cant seem to play it , its both annoying and really frustrating to no end and we wish to see this resolved so we can be back to enjoy the game With kind wishes , Captain gem ninja.
Best game ever. Love the dragons. Can be a little confusing and a lot of waiting, but it comes with the territory. 5 stars.
We’ve been obsessed with this game for years, and we’ve always wondered one thing. Rotating or even mirroring decorations/buildings/habitats/etc. We would love to make things organized if you know what we mean haha. Otherwise the game is amazing and we love playing it! :)

This game is great and definitely a must download. We fell in love with this game when it was on the Kindle fire. And then forgot about it for many years and we’ve just fallen in love with it again.
Love this game! Have played since the beginning and still keeps our interest. We have no other game thats done that that. Very addictive for me.
Im having fun getting dragons and we like it so much more than just sitting around our room and watching our friends play from Aaron the kid.
Super fun, you get to grow your dragons and get money for it to get new dragons to show off.

DragonVale gives players creative freedom over their park and much more. Dragon breeding, the Rift, and mini games along with collecting hundreds of decorations keeps players busy while the monthly events gives players something to look forward to and work at. We’ve personally played DragonVale longer than any mobile game because of its generosity and unique dragon art. The only suggestions we would have for the game would be to add more decorations for specific epic dragon types. For example, apocalypse dragons, surface dragons, and melody dragons are hard to build whole islands around because of the limited decor options. Also, more fun epic dragon types are always a plus. We personally would love to see something like Candy dragons or Planet dragons.
This has been our favorite game ever, we’ve been playing it for 7 years at least now. We have a Facebook login to our account but we are unable to login due to a bug. Wondering on when this will be fixed?
We first played DragonVale when it first came out, and have very fond memories of playing it in high school to pass the time between classes. We love many of the dragon designs and concepts added since, and we appreciate the teams efforts to keep things interesting with seasonal events. The only thing we feel like other similar apps have an advantage over it is more mini games or something to the effect of a competitive element. Its a really nice idle clicking game, but our favorite part is the track races which you only get limited free plays per day and the gameplay becomes repetitive and/or frustrating. Im not sure from a development standpoint what kinds of constraints are in place in terms of size/memory usage, but it would be nice to have things to do when youre waiting for all your timers to tick down. Even if its just something yall keep in mind for a potential sequel game. We hate to bring up a rival app, but if you could invent gameplay that was more engaging than Dragon Mania Legends, that would rock! That game feels a little more involved but we really dont like staring at that art style at all the designs in DragonVale are far more pleasant, diverse, and endearing. Overall, DragonVale is always a classic in our books and we would love to see it continue to grow and evolve, even after all these years.
We’ve been playing this game for ages and its very close to our heart. Its relaxing as long as you have some patience and it has consistently kept our attention. We think the general look of the game is really great and the designs of the dragons are wonderful. At least they were. We dont know if its a result of new people or just a slowly changing style but all of the recently added dragons have butchered the style of the game. Its like the designers dont know what theyre doing. Theyre all far too small, have bad resolution, look completely incompatible with the rest of the game and are overly detailed. The og style of the game was charming! The og designers clearly understood how to make unique and recognizable characters without going super overboard with cluttered designs and crazy effects. They all had complimentary colors, nice shapes, expressive eyes, etc. It just looks bad now. We actively avoid trying to get these new dragons. We hope in the future the dragons designs have a more simple and consistent style.
We lobe this game but we just wish that we could trade dragons because it seems that we get all of the dragons she wants but she get all the dragons we want. So it would be fantastic if we could request to trade dragons! That would just be sparkletastic!
Hey! This game is super fun and nostalgic but there needs to be a way to easily arrange/decorate your park. It is not very fun when it is extremely difficult to re-design your park. You need to focus less on new dragons as there are already so many you create and instead make a park arrangement kind of deal to make this game more revolutionary. We know the majority of fans would love this and we’ve seen this plentiful in other reviews years ago.
We love the game but the music is gone. Its always been one of our favorite things, but now all we hear is the sound effects. We’ve tried restarting our phone, deleting and reinstalling the app, and checking the settings, but nothing works. Could you look into this problem please? Thank you <3.
We love this app but we have one main complaint about it: the Dragon Track. It is ridiculous to us what just happened. Our Level 20 dragon who fit both elements of the race (dark, earth) got every single line as perfect and got SECOND place! Theres nothing else we can do to get first! We are getting second so often and we wish there was something we could do about it, like level up to have better chances. It seems unfair that our level 20 dragon should get second to some random dragon. Sorry, rant over. We love this app and hate getting second place.
It didnt start happening till a couple month ago and its good most of the time but its been getting really bad recently and just randomly kicking us out of the game or telling us theres a connection problem or completely logs us out of our account and we have to log back in, we really love the game its literally our favorite but sometimes we cant get in the game for like a full day and it ends up wit us losing a lot of stuff bc we wasnt able to check it for a full day. Other than that we completely recommend this game just could u please fix that bc it does get a bit frustrating.
We love this game and have a long history with it we would definitely rate it five stars except for the loading time. Every time you load in the app expect a five minute wait. Other than that great game.
Why when we buy something so expensive in the game like lets say we bought a new dragon place and it cost so many coins but not only is it expensive u aslo have to wait for it to be buil for hours and thats the worst part its so expensive and u also have to wait and if u cant wait u have to buy it with gems for the place to be completed its not fair we paid so many coins and we have to wait hours not only hours but days for it to finish? We mean really we would love the game if u just maybe make the waiting hours less like sometimes u have to wait for it for two days for the place to finish and u bought it with like millions of coins yet u have to wait for days. At least make the game fair like if u make it like this if u pay a lot of money for something or some place u get less hours of waiting at least make some common sense we mean really we love the game but u guys have to make the waiting hours less it just ruins the fun Because sometimes we just lose our patience and we just delete the game because of how boring it is too wait so we would love it if u guys fixed that because it would definitely make the game more fun we hope u read this and u do fix it and we hope u have a great day.
We had fb Friends and now the app has erased all but 4 people. Other players are having this issue. Please fix this issue as it has been over a month we have dealt with this issue. Please look into this. We love playing this game but if it doesnt get it fixed Ill have to find a different game to play.
We played this game a lot as a kid, and a year or so ago we started playing again. We put hours and hours of work into that world. We wanted to make sure we wouldnt loose our progress so we made a Facebook account to save our dragonvale island. Unfortunately our phone broke and we had to get a new one, so we went to log into dragonvale useing Facebook on our new phone. But everytime we go to log in we get an error message about something being wrong w/ the app and we could log in later once it was fixed. Its been this was for a week or so now and we really dont want to make a new account and lose all of our progress. Can someone please fix this???
There is a glitch for us where we have the moon dragon unlocked but cannot purchase the habitat, Im level 34.
We’ve heard this game since forever Im at level 50 and we still dont have the sun dragon. We tried every breeding combination. It said we’ve tried to buy it its just so hard, so download the game just in the back of your mind. Remember that You cant get every dragon you want. And then we have a request that would if you could trade dragons with the people you friended, that is would be so amazing. Because it seems our best friend gets all the dragons we want and she gets all the dragons we want. It would just be awesome if we could trade dragons with the people you friended.
We have had the game for a long time now, and we absolutly love it, but we are so dissapointed with it continusly logging us out and not letting us back in the game for long periods of time. And its making it hard for us.
Items vanish in the middle of contests and developer help is unresponsive to bring them back.
Really good game, a lot of fun, but instead of having no way to refuse the egg in cooperative breeding, there should be an X in the corner or something so you could wait for your friend to collect the egg instead of having to take it if you accidentally tap on the heart. Thats all we have to say, we just keep making this mistake when we try to enter the cooperative breeding cave and our friend started breeding without us realizing :)
Not the same since it was purchased by Deca. Glitches all the time. Too much stuff to keep up with items in park are too expensive.. (i.e. You have to play for months to be able to afford stuff in the game) its lost its shine.
We got an awesome rare dragon egg, but unfortunately we have no habitat to place it because the habitat we need is locked behind 1000 gems and Im not quite sure how to get 1000 gems without paying over $30 for that which is quite frankly outrageous.
We dont know exactly whats wrong, but the app will no longer load. We catch a glimpse of the [DECA] thing and then it blanks out and boots us out of the game. Please fix it.
This game is designed to be intentionally frustrating (with things taking a long time to finish), and the only way to speed it up is through gem purchases or watching ads to deduct time. They also dont vet their ads well at all. We see tons that are clearly scammy mobile apps where you can win hundreds of dollars playing games like solitaire. Come on now. Adults may know better, but kids certainly dont.
We redownload the app a couple weeks ago and logged back into our old account. We’ve been breeding a ton with the runic breeding caves and all the sudden we logged on and saw that DECA had given us a gift, it was 3 dragon eggs we already had. We didnt think anything of it and accepted them but when we went to our breeding caves, our eggs history was completely wiped. We havent claimed our one dragon yet and Im really confused as to why this happened. Please fix it and restore our progress.
We had no issues with launching the app until the most recent update. We restarted our device after, and that didnt help. Gave it a few days, but its still crashing immediately after tapping the app icon. (Edit) Some users may not know what their park id is, which seems to be the only way the developers can resolve this issue. We should know our park id, we’ve been playing the game since 2015. Part of what makes this so awful. This is our go-to game on the days were our brain is moving quicker than we can process. It helps redirect our focus, and relaxes us. Because we’ve been playing since 2015, we dont want to lose the progress we’ve made. Not that we could restart, or do anything to solve this on our own, to our knowledge. The app crashes immediately after tapping the icon, it doesnt even attempt to launch the loading screen. In previous yrs when this happen a simple delete, and redownload solved this issue for us. That hasnt worked this time, and neither has restarting our ipad. Id never leave a bad review on this app. To be awful, because we love it so much. But it gets frustrating always missing out during seasonal events because the app wont launch for a prolonged period of time. Its been at least a month since we’ve been able to play.
We’ve been playing for over 10 years. After earning over 200 dragons we’ve worked for over the last three weeks in the runic breeding caves, theyve all disappeared!?!? We spent $50 keeping those runic caves active, and you just took away everything we’ve worked for without explanation or compensation.
Its been years since we played DragonVale, so we decided over the holiday weekend to download it again for fun. (1.) The wait times for an egg or breeding??? Wow, cash grab immediately out of the gate. Totally took the wind out of our sails to wait for hours for an egg hatch after having the game on our device again for a whole 2 minutes. We dont remember it being that crazy long right away. There was literally nothing for us to do but sit and stare at our screen already, just 2 minutes into playing. (2.) THE ADS ARE DISGUSTING. We chose that we were nine years old thinking Finally! Maybe now we wont get gross ads for once! And the second ad we get is for Lilys Garden and she walks into her bedroom coming upon a womans bra and mens clothing discarded on the floor, then the video shows two sets of naked legs tangled on a bed with moaning sounds. THIS IS ADVERTISEMENT FOR A NINE YEAR OLD????? WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU GUYS. WOW. SICK!!!!!! You are all a bunch of child grooming pedos. SHAME on you. We are so so so tired of the nastiness. You know full well kids love this kind of game!!! To ask the players age and STILL show a sexually implied scene?? Our gosh. We wish we could sue for abuse.
DragonVale is a cop out. Whyd we spend 10 years saving anniversary statues if suddenly theyll all be on sale at once? Wasnt the rainbow dragon rare? Why have we wasted so much time on things when yall would just eventually sell out? Greedy.
If youre an old player with your account park linked to Facebook and thinking of reinstalling this just save yourself the headache and dont, its been 4+ months where nobody has been able to log in through Facebook.
