Community Insight:
Escape from LaVille is the best puzzle game we've ever played! Best graphics, best clues, and ingenious puzzles. Please make the sequel a little longer than the first one though, aside from that, it's perfect. Only a stuck-up, over-confident puzzle genius would think to call it a waste of money.
We enjoyed this and thought the puzzles were intriguing. 2 wishes– we wish the game was longer and we wish the loading time going from room to room did not lag so much. Overall great game. And parts were pretty creepy. In a good way.
Really nice graphics and very challenging! We loved it :).
Has a great story line. Can't wait for the sequel.
Great game, best room escape app so far.
Good game! Some of the puzzles were a Lil tuff, not exactly great hints, but overall, a good game. Will buy the sequel.
Very addictive and intriguing game.
We were reluctant to get this game because we read lots of mixed reviews but im very glad we got the game. The game is very challenging we got stuck twice – one of the puzzles we got stuck on made sense after awhile the other puzzle was over our head but we figured it out by trying all the different possibilities. Anyway we really enjoyed the game and will definitely get the sequel.
People are picky. We all finished the game… We were entertained.
We enjoyed the game. The load times are a little slow, but we can't wait for the sequel.
Please hurry and make the next one!! We loved it.
This game was excellent and challenging. We loved it a lot for it also had great graphics and the pricing was perfect. If you are someone who loves riddles a lot and are up to a fierce challenge, then this is the game for you. Enjoy it because it is a wonderful and hard game:).
Game is "up there" with our favorites!! Thank you. Will watch for sequel.
This game was really good. We can't wait for the sequel.
We love hidden objects games. This one that is gruesome as well. Awesome. Hope it doesn't take to long for the next episode.
Need pt.2 please.. Maybe make it free for those who bought pt.1.
Can't wait for the sequel but we hope they have an auto save.
Finally a challenging game with great storyline, graphics, intrigue, puzzles, etc. Suggestion: would like to maybe have one hint offered when you went into a new room. Thank you to all the bloggers out there who 'helped' us with the next clue. You're awesome! Hope to read your hints for the sequel, 'cause we're going to need them.
We love escape games and this one was ok. Our main issue was that it took too long to switch screens. Release the sequel.
Very interesting and lots of puzzles to solve, decent graphics. But it needs a better ending. Too much work for such an anti-climatic finish! And it needs to switch screens faster. But it is still one of the better escape games available.
Our first reaction to the game is–Developers, please find a native English speaker to translate or at least edit your English. The spelling and grammar are a bit distracting. BUT the game looks fun and challenging so far.
The game is fun and we loved the story line. We also think that some puzzles like the wiring diagram and Horus were way too hard and others were child like. We dislike having to save and exit. The latency of the spinning wheel was a little annoying. If not for these things it would be five star. Can't wait for the sequel.
We loved this game but the changing from one place to another is very slow, to slow in fact for us at least for us.
We really enjoyed this game, but the wiring diagram is really impossible. We wanted to beat the game without cheating, but we couldn't. We like challenging games, but between the wiring diagram and "the eye", it was too hard. Keep it challenging on the next one, but provide some keys to figure it out! Please finish the next game.
It's mystifying , slow and stupid the clues to unlock the things like keypad or safe r like guess and check it takes millions of years to figure it out the answers need to be hidden easier and closer to the puzzle like room #3456 and that's the code four the safe inside this was do hard we had to watch the hole(really bad) walkthrough please make the next one easier.
Fun, challenging, its everything everyone else said. Our only complaint would be that something's just are slow or hard to click on so you miss it. Otherwise, looking forward to the next one. Also needs hints. Not cheats but hints. Some answers made no sense to us.
The game is really good. The game is like most Internet escape games. The game took weeks for us to finish making it really good. We've completed the game several times and we think the challenges are really hard and good. The only problem is that the game takes a little to long to load when going into another room or selecting new keys for doors, etc.
We like this game but takes far too long to load and move from room to room. Hard puzzles but they can be figured out if u pay attention to the clues! We would recommend this game to anyone that has an abundance of patience! Please make the sequel faster and u will have a great game.
Really 2.5 stars. We've been playing adventure/puzzle games since the late 80's and this game is mediocre. We agree with others that have said that the screens load too slow. To us, an important attribute of adventure games is knowing WHAT to do AND receiving clues along the way as to HOW to do it. Also, the puzzles should be challenging, but logical. Several of the puzzles had no logic. Also, the interface, though decent, wasn't the best. Having the newspaper articles separate from the inventory was unnecessary. The game was also missing two very important settings: separate music and sound effect volume controls. Speaking of the music, it was too repetitive. Just some constructive criticism to help you make your next game better.
After playing The Lost City and getting accustomed to that game's speed and functionality, this game was a bit of a disappointment at first. But we stuck with it and was determined to finish it…all the way to the rather weak ending, another disappointment. However, it was $.99 well spent and we will consider purchasing the sequel.
It's a good game but takes to long fto load.
Okay, we don't like easy games, but this one had "hints" (like the schematic) that just didn't make sense. The clock pendulum as well. We got the "loading" wheel every time we changed rooms or solved a puzzle. Very slow moving around which was annoying. Game was too short (even though it took a long time to move around) with a disappointing ending. "To be continued"….. If it's free try it. Don't pay for it.
Great idea, but the game isn't always saved — we can't tell how many tunes we had to do that friggin frog picture. Transitions are slow.
The load time was long from scene to scene which was annoying. We also had to look at a walkthrough a couple times because some items were hard to find (the gun for example- not enough differentiation in the area to show you where to look). We felt like we had to tap aimlessly to make sure we didn't miss anything. Some solutions to puzzles also didn't make sense (the lock supposedly solvable by use of the electric wiring diagram?!). Has potential. The storyline isn't bad, but we really only bothered to finish the game because we paid for it.
Excellent! The only things we needed help with were the safe code and puzzle on wall through back door.
It took us a little while to save-helped us burn some time.
This game is great. If you like puzzles this is the game for you – 2nd series ASAP ! Great app – WHERE IS 2nd in series – CAN'T WAIT – great job.
Great game can't wait for next game.
Great game! Only drawback is that it is a little slow. The riddles are excellently challenging (but not too hard :p).
The latest update won't open on our 1st gen iPhone running 3.1.2. We've tried restarting/deleting/re-installing. The original version worked fine, so it is possible.
The games had some interesting stuff, but some can't be solved without a cheat. How do you come up with the code to open the mirror. Even after we watched a walkthrough it made no sense. Still don't know. The numbers are 2564. Don't know why.
One of our favorite escape games. Can't wait for the sequel.
Challenging game without being too difficult. Can't wait for the sequel.
Can't get enough of these type of games, this one is definitely one of the better ones. Great clues and intuitive puzzles.
This game was challenging, had good graphics. Took some serious thinking for some of the puzzles. Definitely looking forward to the sequel- hope it includes the zombie dog again! :).
Makes you think, looking forward for part II.
This is a good graphics game with very hard puzzles…. BUT THAT'S WHY PEOPLE BYE THESE!!! We need help on the password part Wat is the password.
Awesome game!!! Needs a sequel.
Nice in depth escape game with a good Resident Evil-style twist. Please make more.
If your a resident evil fan you'll love this app. Make part 2.
