We had a great time! It was very challenging. We like that the clock just counts how much longer it takes you to figure it out instead of just stopping the game.
We got this game at Five Below and had no idea it would be so incredibly fun!!! Perfect date night!!!
Only hard because this was our first and didnt exactly know what to do. But we are ready to take on more. We got this! We had to use the app for the decoder- it would had been neat to have the decoder from the original game but Ill check that out later.
We dont have 2 phones for the chrono decoder thing and we dont get much instructions on the game.
Cannot get the sound to play on the app.
The app works fine, our family and we did the first Jumanji one (level 0) that provides the decoder on the app worked like a charm. But, the actual physical Decoder does not work even when the correct keys are put in. Our family and we figured out the right code and were told by the decoder we were wrong and after 15 more minutes of wrong guesses we checked the answer key and found out our first guess was the right one. Please update this app so ALL games inside have a digital decoder, that way this is unable to be an issue for anyone. We appreciate the work that goes into things like this but it is so disheartening when you have the right answer and are still told youre wrong. It makes continuing onto the next one pointless because you will never know if youre right.
Spent 45 minutes trying to start Jumanji: The Drumming Closet. App, in US English. The game and decoder were not available, and the app sent us to the website where there was music for the game, but no decoder. Finally, after nearly 40 minutes of searching the app and website, we decided to try UK English, and found a much bigger list of games, including The Drumming Closet. Id rate the app higher, but the inconsistencies between languages make the app very frustrating to use.
We wanted to play the car are but we cant do it without the cool de and Im not going to spend money to do it. We tried googling them but we only got the one for the submarine. If anyone knows them please help.
We bought the initial game and decoder online. Unfortunately our decoder did not work starting from part 2 in Prison Break. Our answer was right but the decoder did not work. We tried restarting the decoder and it stopped working entirely. We were putting in answers for prison break according to the answer key and got an error each time. We thought – ok we will download the app and use that decoder for the virus. Well NOPE because virus doesnt have a decoder :( Even though we bought this over a month ago we were saving it for our birthday and Ill be leaving a bad Amazon review as well and try to return it.
This was pretty fun!! Great family time!
Our husband and we had fun trying to figure out prison island! It was so hard and fun!
Its so good us and our brother love escape rooms and mysterys! This game was great we had so much fun yes it was hard but we end up doing it. It turns out the answers are just right in front of us lol! Its just amazing we love it so much we definitely recommend thank you so much for making us and our brother have a great experience!

Had great fun playing this family game we got as a holiday present, finished the first installment with just a minute to spare, and now were getting ready to play the next one. The app adds fun ambiance. We recommend!

App didnt play music for secret agent game.
We tried two different iphones to get the background music to play om several games but no luck- we would get the Play button to show and press it and it would change to the Square STOP button, but no sound- vol was up and was not broadcasting to bluetooth device or on phone speaket.
We bought the Escape Room the game: 2 Players – Prison Island as a Christmas gift for our husband and us to play. We downloaded this app so we could play, and Prison Island was unable to be selected. Without the games decoder, we could not play. The game was a waste of money since we couldnt play, and the app was useless. Do not buy, do not play, do not recommend.
We got the asylum game but when we downloaded the app, the asylum link was shaded and we could not click on it. Basically, we bought the physical game but we couldnt play it because we didnt have the chrono decoder.
Just downloaded the app, like other reviewers, we couldnt hear any music. But we then figured out, that while our volume was up, our ringer was on silent. Once we turned our ringer on, we could hear the music… Will update after we play…
We wish all escape games had companion apps.
Had this game for about a year and finally opened it during covid 19. Has a great time with wife, 12 year old daughter and 9 year old son! Solved first puzzle abs already starting puzzle 2.
A little tougher than we expected . The website helped!!!
There is a mistake in the third stage of the Asylum room. The first key is incorrect, it should be a square and not a triangle. Please review this, the walkthrough even says the sedative was C4N4N2O3, but it points to the wrong jar. Please correct this! Other than that, awesome game(s)!
VR app has no place to input a code to get out out of the submarine. Even reading the walkthrough doesnt help. In fact, the walkthrough shows how far fetched the clues are. There are so many places you have to guess because the clues are so bad that it is too frustrating to bother with. Same is true for Jumanji version. Not good games. Dont buy.
The game instructed us to press start on the Chrono Decoder at the same time as we started the app. Then there was a play button to play music, but the music did not play. The volume was turned up, but no tunes. The app was a bit of a disappointment.
We were hoping this app would replace the decoder box. The box is cool but its big and bulky and a hassle to store, power and move around. But this app doesnt do anything other than play some background music and let you take a picture of your completed game?
We love it so much it is so cool and so fun to play with friends or family.
Amazing graphics and for that one star after us, its called pen and paper genius.
