Im not used to writing a review and Ive never been able to play dnd before so we may not understand some things, but this was really fun to do. The DM ai was detailed when describing something and some of the characters we encountered during our run were really flushed out. We would honestly like to see if there would be any further updates to this app since Im entirely invested. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and we would recommend this for others to try. ^v^.
The story this AI weaves with your inputs is amazing, we broke out of a prison cell and one shot a guard with our axe, that scared the other guard so bad he ran away, we stole the cell keys ran through the dungeon and stumbled upon an NPC that felt incredibly fleshed out, with background that remains consistent as the story progressed and actually felt like we had real connection and conversations. The story the AI DM makes flows smoothly and doesnt feel awkward and it remembers past story elements with little to no prompting on your part. Other games of this type Ive tried feel awkward and the story loses focus easily and small things like weapons or atmosphere would change suddenly with no explanation. So far this game is an amazing experience and we wholeheartedly recommend giving it a try.
Its good for a solo d&d campaign or to use for a dm. The load times can be a bit long or seem to get stuck loading, but backing out of the app and re opening it tends to fix that, plus it will pick right back up where you left off.
All in all its a lot of fun. That being said it definitely still has room to grow. As stated in a few other reviews the dm is a bit glitchy we did get in a back and forth with it when it tried to double charge us for an item we were buying for an npc but we just listed things out and it corrected itself so no real big deal there. We do wish that there were more classes to choose from but its great for starting and still a lot of fun. The main thing we have noticed between ours and our partners games with it is the more context and details you give it the more you get from it. Describing what you want to do and how you want to achieve that does so much more than just saying we attack blank. So have fun with it yes it has a few hiccups currently but we think it will get a lot better with some more polishing.
Im enjoying this app so far, but Ive noticed that (at least on our end) our weapons have no bonus to hit or damage based on stats.
Ive started a campaign and the game is absolutely amazing Ive hit a point where collecting items takes quite a bit of time to load so Im stuck sitting there while our prompts arent loading. Overall though its an amazing game and would highly recommend.
This is a great system overall. Some issues but one major issue. If you dont pay you dont play. Even there 1000 comments a month is only equivalent to two sessions.
This is fantastic. At first we hated it, because we failed like 4 rolls in a row but after we actually got going its so freaking cool. We dont like the limit but we completely understand it and $3 for another 100 messages isnt awful. Ill definitely try to support this, please please please dont give it on it.
This is a brilliant app, the AI isnt perfect but its pretty darn good! We had a blast playing our first campaign! The only downside is you only get a limited number of messages every month, and now Im out lol But a really well done app, 100% recommend.
A game we were always looking for its great.
First time writing a review for a game. Our little brother told us about this game and we were meh about it at first. First campaign we only got like a months of messages into and failed our quest. The ais storytelling was phenomenal. We arent sure if this is a solo dev or a team but congrats on the stellar concept and the work youve put in. Also itd be really cool to see a multiplayer in the future so our brother and we could campaign together.
As long as it stays free and does not add paid subscriptions and does not add in app purchases, it will stay one of the best apps out there.
As a huge D&D fan this app had us really skeptical but with sometime its a dream come true its not prefect but theres nothing else like it we have found its a must.
We never ever get the chance to play DnD in person, and we heard that a good dungeon master (DM) makes the best of the game. Well, we LOVE this game and Im going to purchase more messages. The AI does a good job writing out the story and dialogue. We were having an adventure! We like how we get to choose our characters and the DnD world goes as we design it to be. It challenges our character and we get to build up our character because of that. We do wish theres more information icons that explain the abilities, and passive traits, etc, because Im so new to those vocabulary. Credits to the creators. Thank you.
This game is amazing, the story telling is on a different level. This ai REMEMBERS better than any Ive seen before. The storytelling has blown our mind multiple times. Im experiencing something that could 100% be a movie. There are levels to our story. Its woven so intricately, and the ai never makes mistakes. There has been so much foreshadowing, such great dialogue. Its just been amazing so far. We just really wish we got more than 300 inputs a month :/ we could go through that in a day easily playing this amazing game. The inventory system is slightly glitchy but other than that, pristine game.
As a long time DM and player of DnD, with a schedule that doesnt let us play tabletop much anymore. This is a lifesaver. It scratches the itch. The AI DM is impressive and creates truly great characters and stories. Im more attached to the characters in our current game, than we have been of many characters in actual DnD games Ive played. TLDR: Shut up and take our money.
We have been playing this game nonstop. You can play huge amounts of this game with no purchases,we have never paid for a game before but we have purchased a full subscription for this one. We did it because the developer deserves it. (And to play nonstop)They are working constantly to make it better, and will personally address concerns you have.
This is the best game for dnd hands down. We wish more people would play it so the paywall could be removed.
This game is a ton of fun. We understand some frustration around the monthly message limit. AI can be expensive. We however really enjoy this game. Your world is what you make it. Think big! You can start a game in a small area but build it up into a vast world that is breathing and alive! 10/5 for us. Keep going authors, we want to see more out of this game.
Our boyfriend got us addicted to this game. Our only two complaints we wish there was a pack with unlimited messages and we just want more classes and races other than that amazing game.

We really love this game it is lots of fun.
We love love love this app. Unfortunately we apparently love it to much. We are like 3 days in and we are about to run out of messages even at the top tier. We wouldnt mind paying a little more for an unlimited subscription, but $20 message pack for 900 messages is just to much (In addition to the monthly subscription). We are considering stopping our subscription and not using the app at all :(.
We dont know what ai model they use. Or how the game functions. But this is the first ai rpg game Ive played that stays so consistent. From little things, to big plot points. Definitely our favorite ai RPG out so far.
The game is fun and interactive, however there are a few bugs that can be annoying. When rolling a dice sometimes you end up waiting 10min just to move along, and for dialog choices as well. Also there isnt an exit button on the setting menu so you get stuck.
This is a good app for what its trying to do. After reading other reviews Im glad to see that Im not the only one who is struggling with the naming section of the character creation, since it keeps freezing on phones, we hope this gets fixed soon. We personally think there should be an option to watch an ad to gain some messages opposed to buying messages packs or waiting a month for it to refill. Other than those two issues we believe that this game is great for those looking for a personal dnd experience.
Id like to take the time to just say this is an amazing and captivating game, but we are experiencing game breaking bugs currently and Id really like help with them, we do want to say despite the bugs, it is an amazing game that really brings to life your imagination and creates unique experiences consistently.
Ive been playing this for a bit and have enjoyed thus far. However, either our die casts are reflective of in-person rolls or they need adjusting. However, how does one playing a mage when wisdom modifiers are applied still manage to get such low rolls and consistently the same number prior to modifiers? We believe review of in game die casts is in order.
Its a great game, responds well and we enjoy being able to ask the DM about the system. However, the limit per MONTH, that is easily hit within an hour and a half of gameplay is a bit wild to us. Also no tier with an unlimited amount. Not sure Id even get it if there was one given that the highest cap right now is 90$ for 6 month, with all 6months being limited by what we imagine Ill hit with in a couple days/ week. Hope the game takes off and dev can lower the price point and set that to an unlimited cap. Couple friends of ours have talked to us about which is why we downloaded. We all love it. But the cap hurts. Guess we will see if we pick it back up. Hopefully more time in the oven gets the game to a better standing.
Extremely fun and intuitive storytelling, a little janky and sometimes the AI doesnt understand our request and will steal all our money randomly but the immersive adventure it takes us on more than makes up for it. The only downside is the message count and subscription. We subbed 2 days ago and now we will be unsubbing because having to wait 30 days to play the game for 2 days is just silly. Unfortunately but Ill go to an app with a better model until they figure it out.
We were frankly blown away by this concept, the AI ability to loop back to plot points and remember aspects is top notch. On the other hand the game struggled to retain certain information regarding our inventory and spellbook. We learned spells through other means other than leveling up but the game doesnt add them to the book or make them actually able to cast. Our story essentially revolves around necromantic artifacts giving our character strength but the spells dont work mostly. Very disappointing. Also the ai combat breaks when we add other followers to the fight which at an extent is understandable for these early development days. Finally we will also say that as much as we loved our experience we went through 300 texts in a single day so we will not be putting any more money into this game. 6$ a day is simply unacceptable. We very much hope the subscription will one day cover infinite play or at least increase the amount of texts into the thousands. Until then we cant support the game further. Well done to the studio this was an incredible experience.
First of all, this is probably the last game we will ever own. Its just that good! Infinite possibilities, but there needs to be a way, when you establish an ability narratively, to add it to active abilities otherwise you cant learn any new usable powers in combat. If the devs see this review. Please feel free to contact us and we can show and better explain exactly what we mean.
Love the game, would be 5 stars but the subscription is a drawback. Im burning 150-200 messages a day so even the super expensive 18 a month isnt enough to play consistently throughout the month. Hopefully they come up with a different subscription without a message limit.
This game is actually really good and fun. Even with it being free and not paying for a subscription, you can get quite a bit out of it. We also think their subscriptions are quite tame and cheap in comparison to a lot of other services we see. Our biggest gripe with this right now is the UI not seeming to have a back button on some pages. In addition to sometimes your character might get to something that causes a crash for some reason. Then you cant access the character anymore because it continuously crashes.
Ive been noticing bugs with the ai like sometimes the shopkeepers give us there entire inventory for free and sometimes a item from a previous quest seems to go into our inventory but when we ask about it the ai says we no longer have the item because we completed the quest some time ago. Stuff like that other than those 2 issues its REALLY REALLY FUN we find ourselves thinking of ways to interact with objects and our surroundings.
Im loving the game Im totally engaged with the story and all but the message limit is a bit much. We mean if we pay for a premium package it should be unlimited in its use not only 1000 a month. Im still on the fence about purchasing is due to how limited it feels in regards to its use. Other than that please keep doing what you do solid experience. Edit Im loving this game so we put it to four stars.
Ive been playing DnD for close to 10 years now and for anyone whos played they know how addicting it can be. In our first 2 days Ive gone through over 400 messages. That being said Ive unfortunately had 3 separate characters glitch out while playing causing their files to become corrupted. Hopefully this can be fixed in the future because this is an amazing, talented group of individuals with a truly unique app.
We are playing as a warlock and we wrote that we came from a dragon lineage and we went out of our way to learn how to use breath attacks and we have used them a lot out of combat but as soon as we get into combat it says we dont have access to the skills which we have spent a lot of time to get so we hope that gets fixed sometime.
We Wish there was an option to watch some ads for more messages. It would give the devs money. And allow for free to play players to get more messages. 15 dollars for 1 month of 1k messages. This should allow one ad to at least give us 5 or 10 more messages.
We dont know if its just us but we cant edit mu charisma stat and every time we try and type our name out for a custom charecter it crashes the game if any has a fix for this please let us know other than that the game seems pretty peak.
Im loving this app a lot, but sometimes it has a few bugs that makes playing kind of tricky. It wont recognize coins/money properly, so Ill get 190G, and itll add 190 to our coin count, but Ill buy something for 8G, and it takes 80 from our coin count. Hard to accumulate riches. Ill randomly get stuff from our inventory added or removed, even if the current story doesnt have anything to do with it. The app is great, and an amazing idea, we just wish these small things could be fixed to improve our experience.
This game is 10/10 5 stars guaranteed. The only reason its 3 stars is due to the fact we cant play everyday since they give messages monthly we wish we could give it 5 stars but its a pay to play game via subscription not even one time pay nor do they do ads to play so honestly we were contemplating 2-3 stars but the overwhelming fun feeling and interactive play of this game is so top tier Ill give it 3 right now.
We love DnD style games, having never had a group to play a real campaign with we thought this would be a great fit for us. A solo journey with a knowledgeable AI DM to guide us. Everything started great and we had a great time. The AI does a great job of explaining dnd rules for someone whos never actually played it and does so well explaining different environments and NPC interactions. But as we started leveling and learning new spells and cantrips the AI would forget what we can actually cast and Id have to go back and forth spending time and messages to debate with the AI. Then it would say Im so sorry, we will make sure to remember this for the future yada yada then immediately forget again and Id have to keep reminding the AI of things like our spell book, current AC and equipment bonuses, etc. Theres so much potential here but the execution of the AI makes it almost unplayable its very frustrating. PLEASE FIX AND we WILL REDOWNLOAD.
It's good but the limited chat thing is so annoying why can't we just watch some ads.
The major thing we would like is the ability to start characters at later levels. Having to grind every character from level one without a party is annoying and somewhat difficult.
Honestly really cool and awesome game. The AI is very intuitive and works great. Theres also NO ADS that Ive seen. Now for the only negative thing we have noticed. You only get 60 messages a month for free. Which equates to roughly an hour or so of play time. If we could pay a set amount for a one time purchase to have unlimited messages and to support the creator of this game, we would. But instead, its a subscription based service. At the top tier (of $18 A MONTH!) you still only get 1000 messages. Which could be quite a bit but why not make it unlimited at that point. We still wouldnt pay that much even if it was. Honestly Im a bit stingy when it comes to paying for mobile games but we would pay up to say $10 for a one time purchase to get unlimited messages. Great game. Just sad to see that greed has ruined it already.
The game was great. Its very interactive. DM has some very vivid story time. We would recommend if it were not for the pure greed of this developer. We understand theyre working with a limited AI much like mid journey. The AI can only reach a certain message limit rate but if youre going to charge people, you do it with one price for the whole month unlimited we understand its just business, but thats bad business and we could make this app ourselves and then sell people unlimited messaging for one monthly price and then use your funding to not line your pockets but to develop a better AI or to get access to a better AI to ensure your customers arent paying for a certain amount of scripted text.
We really like the idea of a self run dnd game, but whatever AI the DM is running on is really choppy and not very acclimated. Almost every action we sent and responded to was just the dm repeating our own action and not properly taking the story anywhere. It's kind of annoying that there's no way to refresh it or anything when it happens.
First Id like to say overall the game is fun, especially for us who has not gotten to play a real DnD campaign in person yet. However, we are disappointed at the lack of diversity it comes to Character and location names. We have come across several characters all sharing the same name and it confuses the AI, a character we had done away with in the first town, almost showed up in the second town. And on top of that the AI tried to gaslight us. Then when we were trying to get our character to a third town, an NPC told us that the name of the next town would be the same town we had left in the beginning. Why does the AI DM seem so heavy set on using these same names and not coming up with new ones. If they could fix these problems Id have given it a higher rating.
We really love this app. Im finding that its interesting and a new way to look at DnD. However, the app needs a lot of work. Theres no back button that lets you get back to the main menu when youre in settings and stuff. Theres also not a lot of race options or class options. Luckily you can kind of play around with it because of the AI, but it would be nice to have more stuff. Also, our app is bugged now. Im probably 7-10 messages in and when we press continue the app closes itself. Not quite sure what to do about that. Looking forward to updates.
