Ive been using this tool for the better part of a decade and it has always been great. Ive never had an issue, and the paid version is a great deal. The only feature we wish this had was the ability to print out the characters to sharing. As a DM we run some campaigns with premade characters for our players who just want to get into playing. Other than that, this app is awesome and well worth it.
We are using this app to make and keep characters for solo play. Any questions Ive had usually get answered by the help tab. Ive never had crashing issues and Ive used this app on and off for a decade now.
This app rules. Im just hoping you could add an option to use the 2024 rules (and upcoming materials too), or would that be a different app? Either way, this app, with new rules is all we need.

Honestly the app has been a huge help us to and our friends! We recommend everyone we can go buy the $3 full app whenever we can. The app has everything we need except for the fact that it doesnt have a spell list built in, if they were to add a spell list id gladly pay another $5 for it. Please keep up the amazing work on this app :3.
This app is by far our favorite way to quickly and effortlessly make characters. It has been so wonderful and easy to use. The UI is basic but readable. The Built-In character creator is simple but effective. The customizability is unlimited in its freedom. However, there are a few things we wish we could do in this app. Most of them involve creating homebrew. One thing we would love to see built into the app is a truly custom race/species. Not just the custom lineage of D&D, but something more akin to Roll20's custom race/species. Another thing is being able to make your own subclasses for the level editor. We have made many homebrew subclassses, so this would be quite a nice feature. We do understand you can already do that by editing the sections where race and subclass stuff goes, but being able to do that with the app would be a nice quality of life feature. Overall, we love this app to death. It could use some things we personally see as valuable, but we do understand why they're not in there.
If you are looking for a DnD app, your search stops here because you have found the best one around. This app makes everything easy and yet is EXTREMELY customizable. It will level you up by 5e rules by default, but you can customize everything for homebrew. Its a natural 20, just download and buy it already.
We like how much youve included. We would pay extra if you included all the spells and descriptions in a simple clickable format.
Best dnd app we ever had. We used it when we were 14 to teach our friends how to build characters, it became a staple of our high schools dnd club, and has allowed us to conjure and create characters on the fly. Its easy to use while also not being in your face, it gives the basics AND elaborates, but still has you reference the books if you arent in the know – aka if you want the specifics on how to smite or how a certain ability works (but it always says see rules if there is something more to use). Seriously this app is awesome, cant recommend it enough. The premium version, which is 3.99? Worth it. All other character creator apps want a subscription of 15.99 or the soul of your firstborn child. This dude just wants 4 bucks. Worth every penny.
This app is perfect for dnd nights and it works really well only if we did not have to pay for some things.

Ive used this app on android for years but have an iPhone now so we will review it here as well. This app blows everything else out of the water. It updates in a reasonable amount of time after new races and abilities come out. Also its simple and easy to use. Whereas other apps pursue UI sheen that can make basic things like ability checks difficult to pull off in a fast manner, this app pursues ease of use primarily. Apps can be great to have all of your information in your pocket at all times, but slow down the flow of the game. This one is as fast as a player knowing exactly what they are doing with pen and paper, with the added benefit of cutting down clutter. We genuinely recommend this app to everyone we play 5e with.

So first let us say that we love this app. Its easy to learn and easy to use. The full version is well worth it and us and our group have been using it for years. Now the bad. It needs an update. Ever since the last one we havent been able to import custom data and some other things are a bit buggy too. If the creator of the app sees this we would love an update to fix these issues. Thank you.
Virtually every D&D player Ive gamed with in person uses your 5th Edition Character Sheet application. We do the same because its not only better than any other app of its kind, its better than most paper character sheets – and a lot easier to update. Its much easier to read, and much quicker to access specific content, even on a little smartphone. Also, since the space each player has can be limited, having such a great character sheet application really helps. (It also works well with online gaming, providing quicker PC info access.) Thank you, sir, for creating and continuing to update this application. Are you planning on creating a version for D&D 5.5 (2024/One D&D)? Im not asking for the current 5e app to be changed. Im currently in campaigns for both, and we dont think anyone would want to see the 5e app gone. In the 5.5 campaign, several of us are still using your app because of its readability, organization and convenience. But were having to edit a lot. (Thank goodness for copy and paste!) Anyway, we and virtually every other gamer we know, has the paid version of this app. Guaranteed well be getting the paid version of your 5.5 Character Sheet should you choose to create one. (Thanks for taking the time to read this!).
We play D&D every so often and this thing is very helpful for when we need to create a character from scratch in a hurry.

We love this app. It is simple to use but covers a ton of options with a great deal of flexibility. Im not even exaggerating when we say that we will take this over D&D Beyond and day of the week. We HIGHLY recommend this to any 5e player.
We use this app a lot, and we mean A LOT. Its useful, It doesnt take much space, and its all on your phone. Best character maker you can get. (Idea) Add dice to the app, people wont have to get another app (pay your competitors) to roll dice. This would make the app a lot more useful. (Not saying its not useful, but still, A LOT more useful).
Been using this app for years and really helps with organization and the math out of the way for fun.

Cant restore our purchase from before. Ive already bought this twice on Android and iOS, and not being able to get our license back is a bummer. App is great otherwise.
Ive been using this app for a very long time and we absolutely love how useful it is. Able to keep track of all our health, perks, spells, etc. Without worrying about erasing holes in our paper. With that being said, since there was an update to the game last year (essentially 5.5e), we feel like this app needs an update to reflect those updates.
If youre looking to play 2014 rules we personally would say this is the best app to do it, we in fact love this app so much that Im upsetting that it hasnt been updated to 2024 rules. Ill make it 5 stars when it changes.

Great app but needs the ability to add spell descriptions to it. This is the only thing keeping it from 5 stars.
Everything was perfect until we had to download it onto a new phone. The sheet does not fit our screen anymore so we have to scroll horizontally & vertically to input info. Our ability check page has its right side completely cut off so we cant see the values for our wisdom and charisma skills. Otherwise, we love how user friendly & simple this app is to use and input info. Its got old school gamer charm. We can put as much or as little details while our campaign progresses. It takes very little data usage on our phone too which is amazing compared to other apps. Im keeping the app but Id love if it could fix the fit on our screen because we never had this bug before and want to keep using it.
Need to add it and Ill make it five stars :P.
We use this app for all our characters its great to have an easy reference. Our only issue is that importing custom data seems to fail and crash the app.
Its a good app if you have a phone with a large screen. But it does not compress for a small screen and a lot of pertinent information gets hedged out. Its also been Ive a year since the last update so the designer really needs to figure it out.
It is a great app to have if you want to create new characters and play around with different ways to build your character. Unfortunately it is missing a lot of new elements. No Path of the Giant for Barbarians etc. Would be great if they updated with this info. We cant think of a time they have update though, since getting this app 6 or so years ago.

We would rate it higher if it had more with spells like there no dnd spell list for the extra slots you have you just put in the name and they dont tell you what the spell is.
This app is very detailed, which we appreciate, but we are encountering issues with this app crashing on iPadOS(12?). It seems to be related to using the keyboard, and it usually doesnt save the last edit o two. Would be great if this can be fixed or figured out.
We love using your App but the times we have multi classed it does work for example we are playing a Fighter/Warlock and it doesnt show our spell slots anyway we can fix that.
Broke our phone and had to get a new one, transferred our Apple ID over from the old phone to the new phone we have now and this is the only app that didnt carry over our information. We had multiple level 15+ characters that are just gone. Yeah we can always try and remake them but they wont be the same. Not a bad app just take extra preparations for the instance that your phone might break because it wont transfer over.
Incredible app. Does what it should without cumbersome nonsense like the roll20 app (which pretty much doesnt work at all). Custom data stopped working through Google Drive as of January 2025 due to security updates. If you need to host a .JSON file AND have a compatible direct link then do the following: upload the file to discord as a .JSON file. Right click the download button on desktop and select Copy Link. DO NOT copy message link as this isnt the same. The link you have copied will be compatible with the app. We recommend posting the link in whatever channel you copied it from for ease of access on mobile.
This app personifies the K.we.S.S principle that has made the U.S. Military dominate the last century, while also giving you full control to import/create custom data. For something to beat this app it would have to be a near exact copy, with the edition of a in app, fully displayed, completely customizable, character creator like a video game. Similar to the app Reroll. If you ever read this Mr. Kammerer, our name is Triston Luckowski and we implore you to add such a feature one day. It is genuinely the only improvement we can possibly imagine. Your dedication to keeping this app up to date with releasing supplements is nothing short of truly admirable and down right inspiring. We bought the paid version in roughly the 2010s. It was great back then and it is truly amazing now. Should a full character portrait function be added we hope youll at least let us donate to you, because in the soul of this humble rpg enjoyer you deserve every cent of your outstanding effort.
This app has been very helpful for creating characters. Im newer to DND, and this app has made things easier.
We think this is easily the best available app. We do have one suggestion or wish for it though. We think that there are a few things this app could use to make it even better, a Built in spell database for instance. But the thing we really wish it had is the ability to add a feat without the need of leveling up. We have played some home brew games where the DM has given us a free feat to start with to add flavor to our characters. This has become a much loved additions to our games and now most of our campaigns have adopted this practice. However, unless you choose var. Human or wait till level up, you have no options to add a feat. We hope you can add this to the app, it would be very helpful.

Ive been using this app for 5 or 6 years now. Our only issue now is that it hasnt been updated with the new content. Is that coming? We really hope so because this is our only app for DnD.
This app makes character creation/leveling incredibly simple and accurate, while leaving options for customization in basically every aspect.
Its free to download and create characters, but you do need to pay a $2.99 fee to get access to the full app. The app works as intended, but it needs to be updated because the Google Play version has been updated twice in the past few years.
Im bad at DND and our friend explained it to us with this app, we still dont know whats happening buts its good.
We havent had any problems at all with the app.we do wish it had a bank of spells you could select. That is just us being picky tho.
We love this app for D&D! Its got very intuitive UI, lots of options for customization, and Ive never seen any bugs with it. We just wish that it continued to receive updates. Hopefully it gets some updates with the new players handbook being released soon.
After a one time payment this app is the best app at to make your 5e character one thing we would add is spell list for characters that hi have them but we also dont create apps or code so this is amazing.
