This game is to boring it is for babies.
This is good for our 5 year old cousin that only name how to spell hi.
Missed opportunity: this will be a great app when you replace the letter names with proper letter sounds. For now we dont recommend it but it has potential.

Great app for learning the alphabet and short words. We just got our 3 year old started on word identification.
Our 3-year-old goes back to this app over and over again. He loves it! He knows the alphabet already and knows the names of things, but is now learning how to spell them.
We have never bothered to rate apps and we are a mac user since 1992. But this app watching our 1.5 year old swipe and drag letters is amazing different levels. A 1.5 yr old can do this and that this app is so easy for them to learn the future Nothing we learned in college could have prepared us for this.
Our 23 month old LOVES this app. It was one of the first iPhone apps that he liked – easy to slide the letters, very interactive and is extremely educational. So happy we downloaded the intro…. About to upgrade right now.
Many of the apps we try just come and go with little interest. This is one our son continues to use. The skill is generalized to other apps too. Great starter app for toddlers or special needs reading.

This was our son's first spelling app. We thought it was great for a light app. It has quite a few basic words, and shows the letters in light print, a the kids can practice how to spell them. When they put the letters in the right place, the graphic of what they spell comes alive! Our son played it a lot, so we ended up getting the full app, which he loved! It has a lot more words! We wold recommend both.
The grand kids really liked this app and used it with no preteaching.
We love how this app allows children to learn words one letter at a time. The fact that there is no time limit gives kids as much time as they need. Most importantly, it doesn't make a sound when the kid makes a wrong choice. Our son would totally stim out on any sound the app makes, so limiting the auditory stimuli to correct responses is a huge help. Thanks.

Great app – our 2 year old daughter loves it! We would have given it 5 stars, but we don't like the fact that you have to pay a hefty price for the "real" version…however, it's certainly been worth the money, seeing how much our daughter enjoys this app and how much she's learning.
Our daughter likes it but there are only a few words u will have to end up buying it to get more words but visually more appealing and with sounds too.

This app is good on a lot of levels. It has a large variety of words and kids have fun dragging the letters to the right place. We just wish the letters made their sounds instead of just saying their names when the kids touch the letter. That would go a long way in helping to teach early reading skills.
It is a great app we played this game when we were 3 we loved when it said the word after we finished.

This app stinks cuz u can't get it wrong and it says the answer.
It would be great if it had two levels. The second level would only let them put the letters in order.

Our 1 year old LOVES THIS! And her older siblings who are learning to read love this too! Even our 11 year old likes to sit with his little sister and play this game. Haha. We got first words animals and we wish we would have just got splurged and got first words pro. We didn't realize there was so many first words. We also have bob books apps and our kids love those too.
