Community Insight:

Like it, but one major flaw is how when going after a low pitch, its way to easy to inadvertently swipe out of the game. Also, it takes far too long to level up once you reach level 7-8 or so.

This game is a lot of fun and we can see it being an improvement on the original but how slowly you level up certainly takes some of the fun out. Ive been playing a lot and find ourselves stuck playing the same levels over and over and barely see any progress.

We played the OG game for many years. We were playing last week when we saw the add for number 2. So Im a huge fan. After hours of playing this game we felt frustrated and ready to throw in the towel. There are a few issues we have. 1. We read a review talking about the point system, and we agree. We will play a round and hit every single ball out of the park just to lose because we dont get enough points. Ive refined our buildings to maximize points but still feel you have to get extremely lucky with random points or a totally random 3x or 2x ball. We think its challenging which we understand. But sometimes it feels like closing the game is the way more fun than restarting and failing on Step 9 after hitting every single ball out. 2. Our biggest issue we have is, Im on stage 18. We were rolling until this stage, the blue slow pitch ball is impossible to hit. Because it comes in so low after the line that when we flick to hit it, our finger grabs our home bar and closes the app. The pitch isnt complicated or challenging to hit, but its impossible with how low it is. We close our phone every time so we cant continue. It just needs to be adjusted to come in slightly higher. But other than that, its fun. We like the idea of buildings, we like the upgrades. The ideas are great. Although we have these issues Ill continue to play it. Just some minor tweaking is all.

We loved playing the original game growing up, but this feels nothing like it. The contact is inconsistent, the lack of ability to speed up gameplay is frustrating, and the new buildings feature feels gimmicky. We wish they just continued building out the first game.

Definitely can say this is an improvement from the original game now. Id left a critical review to which the developers responded and listened! Im having a lot of fun with this game now. Great time killer at work :D.

Its a bit slow imo we recommend adding the speed up feature from the old game so when you hit the ball your not wasting your time watching the animation play through also it seems like you need just to get it over the home run area idk if thats how its ment to be but we personally prefer the og game but Ill keep playing it since Ive been playing the og for so long dope game tho.

We are super happy with the game as a long time original player but ball is getting stuck on the corner of the coffee building to the point its making it hard to complete the next level.

The app emblem is blurry. Still really good tho.

To preface, Ive put many hours into the original flick home run, and thats for a reason the game feels good to play. All of the following points come from a point of love for the original, as we can easily see this becoming an incredible game, but it needs some tweaks (in our opinion). This version completely changes the physics system, it now sees almost impossible not to hit a home run. The length your ball reaches is based almost entirely on angle now, rather than speed of the hit or placement on the ball. The hits feel less satisfying and the ball just doesnt go very far. Also, the vibration is sorely missed. The game generally feels floatier, and less tight in its core mechanic of hitting the ball. The health system seems completely broken Ive hit balls out of the park just to end up with less health than before the pitch. The amount of points received isnt locked in when the ball hits the ground, and you can easily lose dozens of points as the ball rolls backwards after a home run. It almost feels random how much health is expended vs earned on each pitch, which just doesnt feel great. Leveling up just takes far too long. After clearing 12 stages, Im just level 4. The balance feels incredibly off, as we only have 6 build points and the second bat. It was maxed out the second we unlocked it, as theres simply not enough stuff to spend money on with such a low rate of earning levels. Our last qualm would be with the descriptions of the buildings. They just arent clear enough for us to be sure how best to use them. We dont know if this is an English specific problem, but its quite confusing. This game has so much potential, even more so than the first game. To the devs, we really hope you guys (or guy idk) can push a few updates in the future to get this game up to the standard of the original, and even beyond. We really appreciate the addition of a progression system for both the bat and constructions out of the stadium, its an incredible idea to allow the player to have more ways to progress and create custom builds based on the obstacles they place. The first game is an all time classic, and this sequel has the opportunity to build on that, and just be a fun game to play. We would pay a few bucks for this game if it came out in an ad free, completed state like the first one. We think some other people might agree with us based on the success of the original. For now we cant really give it more than a 2.5/5, but we know with just a few updates and fixes it can be a clean 5/5. If the dev is reading this, we hope you dont take anything personally, we really want to see this game achieve greatness. Huge fan.
