It might not sound so pleasant, but you don’t like spiral abyss because your characters are not finished in their build.
So, as someone who has 9 star on all floors, here are my tips if you want:

Power.

Strategy.
Strategy is really important in Spiral Abyss, a good strategy can save you around 30 seconds. And that’s a lot.
So here it is: -
First, your characters needs to have max artifacts. Like, one of Jean’s artifacts is still level 0.
4 star artifacts are completely useless in your world level. After giving your characters all five star artifacts, use four star to enhance them. Why are you even keeping four star artifacts at this point, you are losing so many primogems from Abyss, rather than keeping good four star artifacts.
So, after giving your character all five star, enhance them all to 20, and you’ll see that floor 9 is childs play. -
Teamcomp is really important. You saw that your second team comp managed to clear the floor, so that’s great.

Strategy:
Like everything else, you can’t get experience from Abyss by 2-3 runs. It took around a hundred run to get good at it.
But, here’s some suggestions: -
If Cryo Samachurls are so annoyimg, kill them first when the challenge starts. Pretty much kill the most annoying enemy first, even if it’s not a boss.

In your run, you broke the Hydro Abyss mage’s shield, but then you didn’t finish him and started to attack the mitachurl. So by the time you were done with mitachurl, the Hydro abyss mage regenerated his shield and you had to break it all over again. That delay took away your last star. So finish the Abyss mages when you break their shields.
If you don’t have enough Mora to enhance artifacts, use other artifacts that you are not using anymore, or farm mora with your fragile resin.
What’s the use of storing all those fragile resin when you are losing so many primogems to Abyss every two weeks.
Also, the rate of Crit Rate to Crit Damage should be 1:2. And you should have around 120 Crit Damage or higher for your main DPS.
Abyss is fun if you practice in it so many times.
You might fail so many times like all of us, so it’s okay to be nervious; but those fails is the gate to victory, because they improve your combat.
