We like the game, we were totally intrigued at first, but you have to do way too much grinding to get to the next level with not much change to the game. We feel like its not even worth the time now. We were just about to delete it, but we decided to make this review in hopes that things change soon.
Ads open our App Store, very frustrating or we would give 5 starts. Happens on every ad and have to force close app to make it stop.
The game looks and plays good, we just got super bored with it during the tutorial. Very repetitive grindy just running back and forth, back and forth, back and forth the entire time. Quests feel redundant, power ups give you very little edge. Very slow progressing game. Maybe its different outside of the tutorial. It just couldnt keep our attention.
This game is fun and addictive. Id give it a five but after recent update it doesnt open anymore. It gets stuck in loading page therefore we cant contact support in app.
Ghost Invasion is genuinely fun and has some of the best rotating events Ive seen in a mobile game. Events refresh every 4 to 6 days and, so far, Ive only seen one repeat. The rest have been unique, well designed, and actually engaging, which is rare and appreciated. Our main issue starts once you unlock the graveyard. At that point, the main house environment becomes almost meaningless from a progression standpoint. The rewards from ghosts in the house are dramatically lower than those in the graveyard. Capturing every ghost in the house feels far less valuable than catching a single ghost in the graveyard, which makes that space feel abandoned rather than expanded. We wish there were new areas of the house to explore or higher value ghosts introduced to keep that environment relevant. Its a fun space, but it quickly loses purpose. There are also far too many ambiguous upgrade paths and currency systems. At a certain point, it becomes difficult to track what matters and what does not, and Ive honestly given up trying to understand some of them. When a currency or upgrade is unclear or becomes obsolete quickly, it ends up having no value to us as a player. The main house introduces currencies that stop being useful once you max out their very short upgrade lifespans, which only adds to the confusion. The graveyard has similar issues. Many newly unlocked areas reveal empty ghost pods that require yet another currency to activate. Most of those pods seem to require the same currency that you eventually earn after unlocking them, which makes the process feel boring and a bit pointless. On top of that, upgrading your ray gun in the main house is completely separate from upgrading your cursed ray gun in the graveyard, which feels unnecessarily fragmented and odd. The game starts strong but begins to feel stagnant and even a little sad once you hit a certain level, which happens fairly quickly. We would love to see more evolution in the game. New house areas, more meaningful ghost variety, or rewards that are on par with graveyard souls would go a long way. Overall, its a fun game, but without deeper progression and clearer systems, it risks becoming monotonous over time. We want more. We crave more gameplay.
The game has quite literally the same exactly room/question set up/locations as Alien invasion. It's basically an identical game but with ghosts rather than aliens. Weird. Although we prefer this game over the other.
Not sure if it s just the new update or not but we havent played for a couple months and wanted to play some more and it loads just fine but right when we try to move it might work sometimes but then nothing we can press any of the other buttons either. We like the game and hope that this bug can get fixed so we can play again.
Been playing for about a week. Game is fun. Only issue is it runs our phone so hot. And it crashes ALOT!!!! Cant report it in the game either cause in order to do that the game has to be able to let you push something. It freeze soon as it loads up.

This is a very fun game to play, we played it for a week. Dynamics, environments, events and graphics are really nice but the upgrades turn very quickly into outrageous quantities of resources. The only two options are: 1. To buy resources with real money or 2. To watch adds to make it through the challenges. The challenges are unobtainable otherwise. We picked option 2 and Im talking about 20 seconds of playing and 30-35 seconds of an add, in reality, over 50% of the time in this game you would spend it watching adds instead of actually playing the game, which is designed that way so you go for the money option, yet this is not a one time pay and you play, once again: challenges are unobtainable without the help of money or watching a 30s add very 20s of play, this game is a cash cow that will drain your wallet with no end if you want to make it through the game. Im uninstalling. This could have been a really nice game if they offered the free to play option where you can still make it through the game without an insane amount of time watching adds or chipping in money all of the time.
Fun game, but unfortunately ruined by over monetization. You get a short ad every 30-60 seconds that run between 10 and 20 seconds. You can watch a longer ad instead to get more resources. Randomly their in-game ads for resource bundles will pop up as well. The subscription to get rid of the short ads is $5 a week, which is overpriced. Id maybe consider $5 a month for this amount of content. Its a shame, the game is fun and the concept is cool. Progress tends to stall out around level 10, so play it for a few days and dump it.
We often look for in app purchases to remove ads. This game doesnt have that purchase option. The developer replied to the last post we read stating any in app purchases remove pop up ads liar! We bought the 15$ event bundle and Im still getting pop up ads. We wouldnt have bought that if we wasnt getting ads removed. We just did this about 25 mins ago 10/23/25. We even closed and reopened app 2x. Nothing.
Spent a few $ hoping that permanently gets rid of the pop up adds. Game is a great time.
We started playing thinking this is fun. Then a hour in, we noticed its the same game as alien invasion that we had spend a month playing. Tedious and time consuming. We end up deleting it.
Saw this game on an ad. Pretty much figured it would be another too many ads game but figured would try it. Sure enough once the ads started kicking in it was like every 3-5 minutes in the middle of game play. Game itself seemed fairly nice, but ads way too often. Deleted.
It takes to long to progress through the game without spending money.
After playing for a few days our progress completely reset and now Id have to start over from the beginning. No idea why it did that but after being forced to watch so many ads to get to where we were its pointless to keep playing. The developer needs to tone down forcing you to watch an ad, it happens way too frequently! We get if its optional, but its not. The amount of ads take away from the gameplay.
Takes literally forever to level up. Your raygun barely scratches the ghosts beyond the door for level 3 even after constantly leveling it up. Disappointing.
This is a cool Ghostbusters game.

We like the game cause it helps pass time, but we hate that if we havent played for a day or most of a day that we always have to watch a video for the infinite gear or whatever. There needs to be the option to exit out of that. Not trying to waste our time watching more videos just to play.

Best ghost collecting game Ive played today.
This is one of the most fun app games we have played. No complaints at all about the game, its awesome. Smooth game play, fun missions. Bit cmon man, WAY to many forced ads with no opportunity to buy an ad free experience except to buy a subscription. Wheres the one time buy that every other game has? Plus its an ad like every one minute. This is a good good game. Please fix the ad issue or offer a one time buy for no ads.
Overall the game is good. The new update added forced advertisements, which is way too frequent. So we no longer play the game as often since it takes away from the experience. We do not purchase anything since everything is overpriced.

Great fun little idle game. However we dont like the ads that have started to pop up during gameplay. The ads for resources were good enough.
Ads keep interrupting gameplay. Super annoying when youre trying to keep up with a ghost thats floating away from you. Also super annoying when the ads come back to back to back. Not worth it for us. Delete.
App has tons of optional ads and now decided forced ads are appropriate. Ridiculous. Charge for everything, no option to pay once to remove ads for good. Absolute cash grab.
Now they put force ads in the game. And whats crazy we were about to put money in this fake cause we started liking it now we kinda dont think we will. Man and we love this game and play everyday and you ruin it.
We were having a really good time playing this game, good progression, smooth gameplay, watching ads felt like you actually got decent rewards. But then we wake up this morning and its now forcing ads every 5 minutes why? Thats honestly the one thing that makes us stray away from these games. Wish they would revert this.
The game was really fun at the beginning and we were hooked. Then all of a sudden, game play started getting interrupted by ads. For that reason, Im out.
Its a fun game to play, but the more you advanced, the more you start to find little glitches. For instance, we earned one Ray gun upgrade and glitched out collecting the reward. Now we permanently will not be able to have that upgraded power for our weapon. We also feel like sometimes we had more in our storage and when we logged back in, its like it didnt save some of our resources. We might be wrong but we do feel like sometimes the game doesnt save your progress exactly where youre at. If the glitches were fixed, we would really be more inclined to purchase things in the game because it is fun. Ultimately it is a re-skin and every one of the re-skins have some of the same glitches.
The game is actually pretty fun, no forced ads, decent gameplay, good graphics. The problem is there is a slight lag for about 1 second every 40 seconds that gets very annoying and completely ruins your rhythm. Also makes not dying a whole lot harder. We have great internet that runs other (more data use intensive) games with no issues and over 80 GB of open space on our iPhone 15. So the problem has to be the game. If you can fix that issue the game would be 10x more fun.

Our iPads been idling for 6 to 8 months now Ive been playing the game when we come into our bedroom at night. Ive completed the game. Ive captured all the ghosts. Everything is maxed out. What do we do next? The only thing left is to max out all the ghosts, but its pointless to continue. Theres nothing else to do. Ive had fun. Its a great game.

Found a game with minimal ads like almost zero, AND FUN,,?! Nooooooo. It cant be. We guess we missed this one some how. We had to search ghostbusters to find it randomly, we dont think we ever seen it pop up on apples App Store as a game we been playing or critics review choice teen award for best picture heading or category, basically Its a good game but you dont see any adds for it on apples App Store store lol. Fun and yes addictive gets a little slow as you start to level up. Been plying probably for about week now every day. Maybe 1-2 hrs off n on.
We LOVE LOVE LOVE this game!!! Its so fun, so much to do Ive been playing for a year now and every day is so much fun. No, Im not someone paid to leave a review, Im just one person who loves this game so much we have to leave a review! The graphics are absolutely amazing, and the developers are clearly paying close attention to making the game better and better. Theres always something new going on, and of course we have our favorites. But this game is in a league all by itself. Ive honestly played almost every game in the App Store, and we know when a game is paying attention to the players, not their wallet. A thousand stars, 10 thumbs up and highly recommended.

So addictive and we feel the optional ads for bonuses are worth it Theres several games in this genre but no others have felt as fun and rewarding in a steady progression.
This game is so addicting. We read most of the bad reviews and cant say Ive had any of those issues (glitching, not getting something if we paid for it etc). We will say our phone would get extremely hot after playing for a while (but Im always playing it off and on for hours at work ). We were playing on an iPhone 12 Pro Max but we just got an iPhone 16 today so hopefully this new phone can handle the game and not heat up as bad.

We really wanted to love Ghost Invasion. The gameplay is fun, the concept is great, and at first glance, it feels like it has a lot of potential. But unfortunately, the game is riddled with bugs that make it nearly impossible to progress or enjoy long-term. Major achievements never reward you, ghosts that are supposed to drop 200k souls give you 30k instead, and expensive upgrades take months to earnonly to not actually apply once you buy them. Its incredibly frustrating and ruins what couldve been a solid experience. We reached out to the developers months ago and tried to be patient, but after four months, all we received was an automated response and complete silence. No updates, no fixes, no communication. Its clear theyve abandoned any real support. To make matters worse, the in-app purchases are insanely overpriced. $90 just to block about 40% of the ads? Thats absurd. Save yourself the disappointment. Until the devs fix the core issues and start actually engaging with the community, Ghost Invasion just isnt worth your timeor your money.
We do really love this game. Ive played it longer than most phone games. Currently the only issue we have is that the quest for the Blueberry Jam ghost is not working properly. Its showing we have -2512/50 ghost left to capture.
Why was red soul base number nerfed? Need insane amount which wouldve took forever to farm even before update. Now it takes 5x more time and it kinda kills motivation to farm. Also new quests in starting area but not 1 quest in cursed area.

This game gives reasons to play everyday. We really play for hours at a time. Ive been playing the game for two weeks and had to give it a 5 star. We would recommend this game for sure.
