Community Insight:
This game is simple and fun! NO Commercials! You can build your skill level gradually.
Great game, love playing, but when playing others on a rated game, there should be a way to kick another player out of game if they are trying to force you to leave. We were playing and winning, the round was over and instead of playing, the player we were up against refused to continue to next round and we were left with the option to sit and look at "waiting for player" or leave. We waited for 5-10 minutes before they finally played. If we would have left because they refused to play then our rating would have went down. Our rating shouldn't be effected just because someone else is being a sore loser. Fix that and we would have no problem with the game at all.
The game is alright but the main reason we downloaded this version is because it said you could play friends but when we try it always tells us non available when we know that they are!! Please fix.
We like this app in that it allows us to meld our own cards, other apps we've tried automatically melds for you, we've only played single player.
Though we are new to the game, this seems to follow the rules we've read. No ads, good game play. We recommend, good job.
We love it. Looking for single or multiple player option in the game…Well you found it! Hours of entertainment and excitement! If you play with the computer or other people is up to you and you alone.
Just like the real thing. Let's you organize your cards easily and quickly. Only addition we would request is keeping track of wins, highest score, etc. We love the game.
Best rummy available, no need to look further.
Simple and straightforward. Multiple difficulty levels, clean design and no interruptions. Fairly new, but can't see any major flaws.
Best gin rummy we've found. Let's you sort your melds as you see fit. Gives option to knock, but doesn't make it seem like it is your only choice. This is the closest we've found to playing with a real person. Only complaint we've got is that we'd like the app to keep track of our stats like some of the other gin rummy apps do to show the number of games we've won or lost over the long term. Okay, gotta go play some more.
Love it, we do however agree with a previous post with the "new player" alert and the cancellation of the current game. Overall, AWESOME.
We're really impressed. The programming is for conservative and or defensive play but does throw a spec in once in a while…very cool. It will make you a better player. We only play the single player mode and most of the time while sitting in our deer stand. Great way to pass time quietly and motionless.
Great game!! No problems found.
No pretense or problems with this app.
Enjoying playing this game, although the rules seem slightly different from the way we played years ago.
This is so much fun but we would like it even more with 3 or 4 players.
Pretty good rummy game, we only wish there was an option for pass and play.
This is the best gin rummy game we have found. Main annoyance is the "New Player" announcement in the middle of a game that then abandons the current game and starts a new game with the new player. Extremely annoying! Please fix this.
After upgrading our devices to ios 10, we can no longer use multiplayer mode. The error message returned is "ERROR – Internet required". This happens when we attempt to start a game or when we attempt to list our ranking. This happens on both our iPhone and iPad. We're bummed because we love this app. We have reduced our rating to 2 stars until the problem is fixed or a work-around is published.
We're just learning to play and it would be so helpful to able to sort the runs on the board.
This app isn't bad! We like the multiplayer options. We only wish the highest level was more challenging.
Decent interface. We play in Single Player mode against highest difficulty level. Several times, the game just exited for no reason during the middle of the match. Our biggest complaint is the seeming unfairness of the quality of hands given to the computer. We don't think it is sour grapes. Way too many times, the computer lays down Gin after only a few cards have been played while we are holding a largely unmelted hand. So the computer makes very large 40-50 point scores. In contrast, on the few times that we knock quickly, say after 3 drawn cards, we never get a good score. Usually, it's less than 5 points. PLEEZ. That's not realistic. What that tells us is that "higher" difficulty does not mean that the computer is playing smarter. Instead, the computer simply gets much better starting hands and draws much better cards than should be expected. If this were a real opponent, you would say, "Nobody can be this lucky so often. He must be cheating." To improve, we want to play against "smarter" players. We can't learn anything when the opponent is always just getting luckier cards. That said, if you are just looking to fill time with simple entertainment, as you would playing solitaire, this game is fine. Maybe we should try the online option sometime.
We like that you can sort your own cards, but it missing a few things. It doesn't give the option for auto sorting, it doesn't apply your cards to the other player's hand at the end of the round, it doesn't keep statistics beyond the current game, and it is only one difficulty level.
Renders program useless during audio apps. Audio books, radio, etc. Which is only time we play games.
We can't really rate it at five stars bc we just start playing but it's somewhat boring and crashes and cut you off before finishing the game you're playing already.
We used to enjoy playing this game, but it has become unfair for some reason in not letting us lay down our cards when we have a meld. It allows the other opponent to continue drawing cards until it's good for them even though we should've been able to use our knock button and lay ours down a long time before. We hope that this problem gets cleared up, or we won't be playing it anymore.
It is programmed that robots and people with lots of points get the best dealt hands.
We have been playing this game for awhile and have finally gotten out of the hole and built our score to 6000+ and just now the whole thing crashed and we lost all our score! Boooooo.
This game has problems, the game starts then as you get into it, it stops and adds a different player so you lose the hand you had. Also you don't have enough time to see what cards you wanna get rid of then it ends the game. We always was taught that if you want you can take the whole discard pile as long as you use the card from where you pick it up from but it only shows one card. This game doesn't act as the original card game. Need to revise the game to the actual real card game.
Will not let us play the game. We cant even get past multiple player or single player. We love rummy so it would be nice if we could play this one.
Fun, simple, easy design to work with and play.
This is our very favorite game! It moves fast, is user-friendly and SO much fun! We have to make ourselves sign off to go to work! We're addicted :). Try it.
Seems to work well, just started using this game. Will be interesting to see how the different levels work out. Will be following up this review if necessary.
Pretty good job as far as the basic game goes. The noise keeps coming back on and we are unable to shut it off. Too irritating for our taste. Too many bounces once the game starts. Better than most gin games though.
Kills you with a knock on one card draw.
Seems a little one sided for the computer.
Recent update has created problems! Please fix.
Game will give you a needed card after you discard part of a set, over and over and over. Very predictable!!!! FRUSTRATING!!! UNFAIR.
We can't find rules to the game other than a link that redirects you to Wikipedia. The game does not exactly match what we have played with real cards. Some guidance on what combination of cards constitutes a winning hand would be helpful.
This is a fun game when there is nothing to do.
Where's the sound control? Sound effects are not great.
This looks good and we love gin but it always crashes before the main screen even shows up PLEASE FIX.
Wish there was a way to keep a record of your winnings and losses.
We have played this game for 12 yrs. We have been signed in theough Facebook and Apple and guest you name it. We always get deleted and reset. We have asked many times and usually never get an answer. Its remarkably a fun game to play but has no ability to keep your cumulative score or identity.
Great app. But many advertising traps.
Best Gin Rummy online game we come across. Love it.
CPU gets otherworldly luck at higher levels. Dont bother trying to strategize and instead throw out any high cards in exchange for low. Even then the bot will still knock really early every time and slowly crawl up to 100.
Whats the sense of playing when you get booted because the game froze and you cant discard. Terrible.
We dont know what the rules are and we dont know where to figure it out. Ive saved aces thinking they would play on kings and they did not.
Its the most pleasingly laid out game Ive played. Everything you want in a game of Gin Rummy and done of the flashy, discordant and interruptive stuff that makes us soon delete game apps.
