Community Insight:
We really enjoy this app but it crashes regularly.
We like this app, but there are many easily fixable glitches throughout. Especially, portions of the stones and text being off on our iPad display.
App keeps crashing when we restart a level and most of the levels dont even explain to you what youre supposed to do. We like knowing what rank we are but at the same time our rank goes up too fast and we dont even understand most of what Im doing.
We love this app, we think it's really great. The only problem is it keeps crashing. Please fix that so we can continue to play.
There are a lot of decent problems, and the prices for packs is not bad at all. The real problem (other than the crashes) is that on a phone you usually can't see all of the text, if text comes with the problem. Oftentimes the text will explain a situation, there will be marked stones on the board, and you won't know what it is they want you to do if the text is too long. We really enjoy doing problems, but some fixes need to be made to this app in order for that to be possible. Also, as another suggestion, It would be nice if the problem sets were by rank. We wouldn't mind paying a little extra for problems around where we are instead of getting a bunch of problems that we can't use.
Latest is version. XR.. Non stop crashing.
For some reason if we go into those then click buy on any of the sets the app just freezes up.
Since then ive upgraded to an iPhone 6, this app functions very well except for one feature. There are several problems that have "text" added to each asking questions and giving reasoning for their solutions. However it cannot be fully read either in portrait or landscape mode for some reason. Please fix this with the next update. Ive purchased about 1/2 of the additional Go Problems already and wish to fully understand them without fighting our device every time. Thanks.
Every 4-6 problems, the app crashes. We really like the setup and the problems, but the app is almost unusable. Please fix this bug! ^~^.
We're using an iPhone 5C and this app doesn't last 5 minutes without crashing.
- Gets MUCH too hard, MUCH too fast. We're sorry, we're a beginner, we can't see 6 or 8 moves in advance. But after 15 minutes of using this app which claims to adjust to your skill level, that's how hard the problems have already gotten. Sorry, it takes longer than 15 minutes to learn to be that good. 2. Crashes every 3-4 minutes. 3. Gives tips, but only lets you read first 2 lines of them. What good is it to only be able to read the first 10 words of a long explanation? How is that supposed to do anyone any good at all.
Would be 5/5 if crashes were fixed.
It keeps crashing for a few games.. Please fix it!!! We really like it.
Putting stones on the board is pretty smooth, very few misclicks. Enjoy the leaderboard and watching our progression. One thing we would like to see is the problems placed in different location with and stone color changed up, the problems are redundant after a while.
We're learning a lot from the problems but the app crashes very frequently.
We're so pleased to have such a great go problems app; having used many books on go problems, we've been waiting for this! Most of the content works flawlessly, our only complaint is that we found a couple of problems with broken solutions but we don't see a way to flag them. Keep up the good work, and thank you.
The app crashes every once and while, but the problems are good.
Surprisingly good life and death problems for high-kyu level player. Solving problems raises your estimated kyu level as you go. Not sure yet if your session is saved, or whether you have to buy upgrade. No ads. We give it 4 stars because you cannot go back to previous problem, or we cannot figure out how to do that. Note you have to touch the text msg to see the full message.
Excellent! One of the best go problems apps here. Nice interface and a very comprehensive collection.
Nice problems. Presentation ok, but sloppy and incomplete text messages. Crashes frequently.
Great productive way to kill some time waiting for the subway or sitting down for a fun while to make our go skills stronger.
