Welcome to a self-playing comedy game about gods, heroes, and lack of subordination. Want to be a deity? A hero of yours is totally ready to ignore your wishes.
It's a parody take on MMORPG and levelling. Here you can do literally nothing, while your character progresses on his own, writing a story on the go. Or you could show this mortal your will and control him (unsuccessfully). Either way, it'll be lots of fun. And puns. Lots of them.
The game requires persistent internet connection.

One of our favorite games to not play.
Its not a game you spend hours on, though you can. Its a game full of witty humor and tons of puns. And its about as idle as it gets. We personally love the game to the extent that we would go out and review it well deserved.
Fun and hilarious with no ads to make our brain feel like its melting. 10/10 would recommend.
Its fun to watch our hero fumble around, our only complaint is that you cant log in with 2 devices at the same time.
Ive had the game installed for three days. We can only do two things. Neither are entertaining after using them for third time. Im not sure what game everyone else is playing. But we gave the game till lvl 7 before we gave up due to nothing new to do.
We got an iPhone 13 pro max extreme 2045 3million dollar phone and the game doesnt even show the registration page, only login.
We admit, we were super skeptical about this game. The first couple of days we thought it was dumb because there is not a lot of action and control you have, but we kept it going. 3 months later, we check back in at least 3 times a day! It really grow on you, and the Godville Times is a great side part.
We just downloaded the game, never played before so we went to try and register to make an account and the game just froze, we tried 3 time, so we deleted it, if the developer resolves this issue we will be happy to try again and leave a more positive review, but as is, we would have to suggest avoiding this game.
We have the option to sign in which we only just downloaded the game so we dont have a sign in account. The register tab doesnt show anything. Guess we wont play this. Too bad. Please fix your game. Id love to change our rating.

It seems simple at first, youre a god that helps your hero. How can that get difficult? Then you discover the wiki page.
Ive been looking for a fun, non time consuming game with an edge and this is it. The diary logs are hilarious and the godwiki is so clever and witty. We love this.
We didnt know that you could leave the email address empty, very sorry. Also now we got some ideas, we know theres an ideabox, but you know peoples things can be rejected. What if we were just able to put monsters in our own game without having to use the ideabox? Basically you can create anything ya see in the ideabox such as monsters, and other things. And another idea we have is to not be limited to your names of your god name or yours hero name. And what if we could make more than one hero? We can switch to see what each hero is doing, and they would be able to find your other heros and group up. And also custom towns. Also now its telling us to enter a email so we dont lose anything. Everytime we go onto the diary page. We dont like that you just shove it into your players faces everytime they get onto the diary page.
After all these years since we purchased this app, it still puts a smile in our face , and even makes us LOL at times.
It absolutely does not command your time or try and hook you in any way. Theres only one in-app purchase available and its something you get for free and dont need, so its completely elective whether or not you choose to spend any money. You can choose to play as little or as much as you want. If you want to play more, theres a social aspect with guilds (some of which are very active) and a forum. The coolest part is how player-made it is. Its completely text-based, and all players are allowed to submit new ideas for any possible thing in game to an ideabox. Players then vote and later the developers go through and choose the ones they like. The amount of variety is insaneyou could go days without seeing a repeat, and the majority is completely fresh every time. Even more than that, theres a GodWiki, which is basically Godvilles own little Wikipedia. Except it isnt little, because it houses entries on everything under the sun, and again, almost all of the wiki is player written and reviewed. Its kind of incredible how nicely the community works together to create new content.
Had it for a couple years now it plays by itself you dont have to do much . Its a great game we love it.
Nice to pop in a few times a day to see what punny antics our heroine is getting up to.
The diary is great but we want to know more about what she is doing. We want to keep track of it and it is fun of what they are doing. Yes, it did show what our hero is doing but it is just temporarily. We want a record of it. Therefore, developers, pls quickly update it for a menu to check what our hero is doing. The diary isnt very specific. However, the diary is great too.
We literally just downloaded the app and it keeps saying our username is taken Ive added a random string of numbers and still taken.
Good game but if you are in a pantheon and swipe right you get stuck and are stuck in menu.
It did not work it did not let us hit the create hero button.
The game is pretty fun, but for some reason we can't log in on the app to our account. Only on the website itself, which is inconvenient. We've changed our password 3 times to see if that will help but it doesn't.
This is one of the best games we played you guys worked so hard in this and we thank oh for it, also you have a godvill wiki? Wow we can tell so much heart has been put into this game keep it up.
Our hero is 10 years 2 months old. All we do is encourage him and bring him back to life every once in a while. He does the rest. Bring on another 10 years.
Weird theres only one review, well if you like idle games with a smorgasbord of references odd humor and outlandish feats of daring its the game for you. Spend like 15-20ish minutes a day on it and youll progress pretty fast. Ignore the last review you only go slow if you dont interact with your hero.
Logged in after five years, and our hero is still strong, funny and now have completed 50% of the game.
We just got the 11 , downloaded this game our brother told us about but we cant even open the app . We uninstalled then reinstalled 3xs already . Pls help.
We cant even play the game! Every time we try to it just crashes. Cant even see what the game even looks like. Its obviously compatible with our phone since we could download it. We are using the latest iOS and Im using an iPhone 8. Ive deleted and redownloaded it too. Its a shame because it has such good ratings but we cant play it.

This is probably one of the most unique games that we have ever played. Its amazing! And it works really well with voiceover if youre visually impaired like us.
We think this is a great game so far and we cant wait for updates and improvements one thing we would change is that at one point our hero asked us if we had any other followers so we thought it would be great if there was two or three other heros with their own diary and they could do different quest or do the same quest.
We havent played this game in 7 to 8 years we honestly just remember us always being an undead ghost with a bunch of loot all the time we had the app on our old phone so its nice we can start over and try it out again.
After 8 years of playing this, we still enjoy it.
Worst game ever made. You do nothing and it makes no sense. You can dual. We were level 27 and we dueled with a level 6 and died in two moves. Makes no sense.
A very interesting game, the likes of which there are not many! Great for popping in now and again without needing much investment.
Just started playing and so far really like it. Except for the fact that our hero seems to be the biggest smart butt in the world with his irritating comments -.- we got so fed up of his attitude we changed to only using punishments but still all his responses make us absolutely hate him. Not sure if this is normal or if Im just super unlucky. Just wish our hero had an ounce of respect haha.

Honestly this game is so funny and great, our friend and we played it cause we were bored, but now we are addicted. We cant wait to see what will be added next.
So some would say the title says it all but no, it doesnt we are totally blind and this developer cares about making his product as accessible as he can make it. We just wish there were an app where we could find accessible apps on the app store verses having to go on the web. Ah well we digress.the game is great and the diary entries though we have not been around a lot for a while now are hilarious. They help us on really bad days.
It may not seem like it at first, but it's really fun to have minimal control over the game as it has a life of its own. The game is super funny and creative and the fact that the hero/heroine adventures even while you're away makes them seem like a real person. The best part about it is that you don't need to make time to play this game, and it's very entertaining when you're bored.
We think this game is super funny but for some reason the diary is spitting out lots of weird bible literature and the diary entries are boring now. Fix this plz.
The app is very but the app needs a little work today the app kicked us back a level so what shood we do.
We've been playing this game for going on two years now. We're surprised it has never blew up. We love textbased rpgs and this one even has its own twist to it that we love. Definitely worth the look.
Ive been playing this game for 6 years and 7 months. Ive forgotten about it for over a year and went back just to check on how many years its been running. We dont actually use our godpower so we have tons of charges. Theres really nothing to do with the game but we have a good memory from the day we downloaded it so we havent deleted it yet. We also want to know how many years itll take us to get 100% of the bricks needed for the temple. Im at 37.2% after almost 7 years so we may die before it happens.
We've been using this app for over 6 years. Admittedly we forgot about it for a couple of those, but rediscovered it and became addicted almost immediately. Would recommend to anyone that enjoys witty quips, bad puns, and ridiculousness.

We like this app not sure why we just check in now and then to see how Much our hero has grown we like the funny dialog and the ahem "game play" buy it if you're to lazy to play an rpg and remember dreeps? More like dumb……..that's the best joke we can make :/.
We are obsessed with this game! We love text based games, and this is the best and funniest one yet! We love how many different hilarious diary entries our hero has, and how many funny situations and items there are, and our hero makes us feel special. This game is great.
The game that keeps on giving without you having to do anything mentally extenuating. Humor is witty, concept is unique, game is a blast. Very casual and enjoyable, a great game for anyone who likes subtle humor and wit.
