What Makes Golf Club: Nostalgia Stand Out
After the Great Ecological catastrophe the ultra rich move to Tesla City on Mars. The rest of us died. Now, citizens of Mars take flights to Earth and play golf in the ruins. However, one of the Mars mission pilots cannot fit in the new Martian society. The homesick pilot uses his connections at Golf Club: Wasteland for one last solo trip to Earth.
ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK: Radio Nostalgia from Mars. Citizens of Mars, now nostalgic for Earth, listen to music from the 2070/80s and share memories from their past life on Earth. Over 2 hours of original radio soundtrack.
Kick back, relax and reminisce with Golf Club: Wasteland. This award-winning game is a slow-paced atmospheric visual narrative with walking, jet-pack flying, and golfing in post-apocalyptic landscapes.

“Mixed with an eerie atmosphere and some of the best tunes we’ve heard in iOS gaming, this makes for a beautiful experience of loneliness.” – Apple
“It’s peculiar alchemy of meditative sport and pointed sentimentality is a sight to behold.” – Washington Post
“Beautiful and elegiac are not normally adjectives you’d use to describe a golf simulation, but that’s what this is, and a highly unusual and peaceful experience.” 8/10 – Metro
“Rare is the game that gets you thinking about modern society, while being angry that you missed the shot to get past a giant, irradiated giraffe.” 9/10 – Touch Arcade

BEAUTIFUL
A visually and sonically rich, calm and funny experience. Each level contains post-apocalyptic environments with destroyed brutalist monuments, neons referring to current social events and Silicon Valley, graffiti, alternative pathways, and one unexpected character.
MUSIC
While revisiting Earth, the Pilot listens to Radio Nostalgia from Mars, a unique concept album.
STORY
Three storytelling perspectives: story between levels, the Pilot’s diary that you can unlock, and personal stories in the radio program.
SATIRE
References are scattered throughout the post-apocalyptic world. If you’re passionate about current affairs, appreciate great design and have a healthy skepticism toward our collective future – this game is made for you.

Community Insight:
We Love this game from beginning to end great job a sequel would be great.
We don't know anything about the developers of this game – but what we do know is that it's crazy addictive and we can't stop playing it. It's fun, challenging, and entertaining all at once. "Radio Nostalgia from Mars" is honestly good enough to deserve it's own spin-off. Listening to it kinda makes us wonder if any of the Devs played SimCopter in their youth and experienced the crazy radio stations they had in that game. If ever there was a niche for a Fallout-style post-apocalyptic mini-golf game – this game hits it on the bullseye. One of things we've always complained about when it comes to the iOS mobile gaming platform is the lack of Fallout-style post-apocalyptic games. It's something we've been craving for years now. Talk about getting your fix in a completely unexpected game category – we don't know who's idea this game was, but it was pure genius. We were supposed to go to sleep 2 hours ago but we literally can't put this game down lol. Bethesda really needs to reach out to you guys and work something out. We mean, just think of the possibilities here! Fallout-style Post-apocalyptic Olympics! Radioactive Football! Ruins Racing! Nuclear skateboarding! Don't get us wrong, a golf game was a great start and we absolutely love it. But there are so, so many more things you could do with this. We look forward to seeing what you guys come up with in the future. In the mean time, please do us all a favor and provide regular updates to this game – if for no other reason than to keep adding new stuff to "Nostalgia Radio" – which is also another genius idea.
Nice job on the game Svaka ast.
The combination of the simple activity of golf with the environmental storytelling of the backdrop and sountrack plus the intertitles make for a dark narrative experience not easily forgotten.
We liked the golfing gameplay but we thought the background radio was annoying. For the $3 the game was worth the money though.
We've asked for a refund with no response from developer. Paid for app, it worked a few times. We really liked it. Now it just hangs at the loading screen. Yes, we have attempted reinstall. Yes, we have restarted our phone. Yes, we have checked for updates. Refund or fix the app, folks.
Lets call this game what it is: its a social statement, a mindless golf game with no challenge set to an anti-Trump radio show. We dont have any issues with the political nature of the game, we agree with their statement. But the game itself….its basically just a mindless golf game. Its two dimensional, no score, unlimited balls. You are just whacking a ball left and right around a course which gives you something to do while you listen to a radio show about how the world was ruined, with neon signs like Drumpf hair products and Covfefe in the background scenery. And between stages you get one line story bits. Again, amusing-if-it-werent-depressing political viewpoints aside, the game is just simply not challenging and not particularly fun.
While Im literally only 5 minutes into this world (and desperately need to get some sleep tonight), we had to leave this positive, albeit incomplete, review before we drop off. We dont think Ive ever been so profoundly influenced by a 30-second game clip before. Our very first impressions are Fallout Golf in Wall-Es backyard; Im sure the dev has much more to say and we cant wait to delve deeper into this vision. Im quite happy to spare a mere $3 to support a labor of gaming love, as opposed to a carefully-calculated algorithm designed to drain us of money and enjoyment.
As a Russian-American, this game left us in tears. We have no idea what to say. The art of this game is impeccable, and the commentary on the current political environment left us speechless. The gameplay is incredible, frustrating in a way dark souls is frustrating; incredibly rewarding once you get the hang of it.
This game just completely caught us off guard with its unbelievably insightful (and all too real and relatable) story of our current political climate. Oh, and its a game about super sweet golf trick shots. The golf part is a blast (and trust us, we dont like golf or play games like this), but the beautiful art and sound design sucked us in. Theres a radio that acts as the music in the game which is great, but also has moments of a dj coming on to talk about the current predicament they are in which gives more and more information to the story as you play golf. Its really quite ingenious. And if you score under par fir each course you are rewarded with more pieces of the story from the character perspective. We dont want to ruin anything, so we wont say more on the story other than it was really well-executed, and beautiful and depressing at the same time. This may very well be the sleeper hit of the year. And for only $2.99 thats a STEAL. Theres plenty of replay value with the zen-like, fun golf courses that allow you to try and beat your score and pull off some cool shots. And with the intelligent story, this is a no-brained purchase. Thank you, to the dev for making such a game and bringing it to iOS.
This game is such a stress relief. We like listening to that Mars nostalgia radio :).
We pre-ordered this we really cant our teaching because we kind play golf and we really love playing fallout and the story so far is really intriguing.
Not a fan of having to wait for the jetpack to fly to the ball after every single shot. Too slow.
Songs are just not doing it for us, would change our rating if we could turn off the lyrics. Otherwise great, even on mute.
