User Reviews on Goodnight, Sheep

Looking for more information? Read a comprehensive review of Goodnight, Sheep below:

This app is really amazing. It starts out with just a couple thoughts. Then it slowly just adds more and more, as they increasingly become more negative. We decided to stop playing the game and look in the reviews because this app was just to sinister. But one review gave us hope that it would get better. We continue playing the app and found the beautiful truth to the game at the end. We highly recommend this app to you!

We haven’t finished it yet but this is such a great demonstration of what we feel each night. It started to get really personal for us so we haven’t finished it yet but we’re happy to find something that helps us feel more seen! The artwork is very lovely too!

Its a really cute story!! We recommend it. But we dont think its meant to help you fall asleep..

Okay, at first we were a little apprehensive after reading the other reviews. Let us start by saying this is NOT a sleeping app. This isnt meant to help you fall asleep. Its more of a narrative centered around the theme of falling asleep. Admittedly, the story does contain some negative phrases like, What if we fail?, Im so weak, and our friends will leave us. But thats only for the first part of the story. You have to continue on, and we promise the ending is a lot more positive. Yes, there are some negative thoughts in the story, but these are things that many of us think from time to time. In the end, its not your thoughts that shape your lifeits what you choose to do about them, and the narrator in this story does something positive with his thoughts. We personally found this app to be interesting, even if the story was rather short. But then again, sometimes a short story is all it takes to change a persons perspective…

Well we can say we dont have the same problems as the game shows but, we still love the art and it is calming to pop the thoughts. Nice sweet little game. You should get it if you worry about tests a lot.

Perhaps there could be a function for the user to create their own thought bubbles? A lot of the thoughts didnt apply to us, since Im not in school. But we love the concept snd its very calming to pop away all the anxious thoughts that keep you up! We love this and am going to try using this regularly before bed.

So when we played this it was kinda depressing at first but when you start to finish the story it gets wayyyyyyyyy better we have a recommendation for the creator we would love this app if it was all positive and no negative like pop the positive sheeps instead of popping sad sheeps at first but overall we like this game but warning at first its depressing so if you dont like depressing stuff dont download!

We downloaded this game after discovering kiwis cant fly and loving it so, we figured we try this one out. We liked the concept of this game a lot and the graphics and music are very nice, just like the previous game, but in our opinion we felt like there could have been more to it. We understood what they were trying to convey although, we felt it could have used more back story or a different animation instead of the popping sheep. For example maybe a journal/sketch book background with the sheep in pencil etc. To give it more life. Though we still recommend it because it was very cute and we really enjoy the creative thinking of the game developers :)

So we used this to try and sleep but then the app says that our closet door is open and it was so now we cant sleep and we dont want to get up or Ill get eaten. Idk what to do.

The sheep are cute, so we gave it a stars, but we were honestly looking for a cute game to get us to sleep. They went on about possible monsters or failing our test or being forever alone… Ya thats stuff we worry about but making sheep out of it just adds fuel to the fire. It would be a much better game if they gave solutions, like we studied enough, Ill be fine. OR if they just added positive things in the sheep in the first place, like youll be okay. But we DID give it one more star because they talked about fluffy monsters, which was a cute solution to the being scared problem.

This concept of popping sheep is cute and the graphics are well done. However, as said in other reviews the negative sheep at the beginning turned us off the app before we could finish. We havent had trouble sleeping in years and the negative sheep brought back up old fears and worries. We started to feel our heart tighten, and our head spin, and shut off the game and switched to relax melodies and was asleep in 5 minutes. 2 stars for cute concept, poor psychological construction. Should be easy to rewrite the text, and we hope the creator does because this game has a lot of potential.

This will give you anxiety. A lot of the quotes are related to school, we’ve graduated and was stressed about a test tomorrow THAT we DONT HAVE. Maybe its some sort of way to let the thoughts enter your head, and then simply let them go. But it was creepy and made us think this was supposed to make things worse in some twisted sick way. We’ve never reviewed and app until today.

The thoughts are very negative. This doesnt help us go to sleep. It actually puts us down. Not great thoughts before sleeping.

We were just trying to go to sleep and this app literally made our anxiety go out the roof. Dont suggest.
