We are absolutely loving this app, its so fun to create our own character and go on Bible adventures! We have read some of the reviews from a few months and/or years ago, and Im seeing a lot that is saying no sound or glitches a lot, and we can see that this issue has been fixed. Ive had this app for almost 2 years now, and it is fun, but we are requesting more levels, and more Bible stories, like for instance; Nehemiah, Joseph, and maybe even Lazarus. We hope you take this into consideration thx.
February 11,2021 we are updating our review today. We just got a new iPhone and the app is now working wonderfully! Changing from 3 stars to 5 stars. We are enjoying this game even if we are a 61 year old grandma!! Nov 12, 2020 we love Samaritans Purse and was excited when this game first came out. We tried playing this game and every time it freezes at the same place. At that time we deleted it because we couldnt use it. We just upgraded our internet service to a much faster speed and decided to give it a try again. We get to the click the license plate and then it will go to the crew and kicks us out. A few times it will go to the meteors but no further. It says it will work on our iPhone 6+ and the iOS is updated. Is there anything that can be done or will this game just not work on our phone.
Ok so overall this is a WONDERFUL game, we can easily give it a 5 star review and can tell a lot of care went into creating it. However, we do wish that you could have the option to change your eye color, and to change more physical attributes. Please update. Thank you for providing a fun, clean source of entertainment.
We love this app we finished the whole thing in just a few days! We love how its animated, we love that each character has their own VOICES and TALKS instead of type!, we think its perfect for kids who dont know how to read or pronounce words! And we love seeing the Bible storys come to life before our eyes! The Greatest Journey really is the GREATEST journey thanks to everyone who took the time to make this app. Bye . Its beautiful, and has topics that comfort and acknowledge children. We ourselves am we christian child, and enjoy this so.. But sadly we have finished the game so fast.. :(.

Our grandkids play a lot of computer games. They love the journey through the Bible. They are always willing to go on the journey every night.
The game itself needs a bit more action. Like maybe more exploration without being guided. The characters can move about and you know… Other than it. Good job.
Great app. Did not have problem with audio on first use. Now that we signed our second grandchild on, there is no audio. Sound bar is all the way up. Deleted & reinstalled the app & still no sound.

We just barely got this app because it has great reviews but we cant hear it we turned our volume all the way up but we still couldnt hear it.
We downloaded this app for our 6 year old granddaughter. Even without sound , she is having fun checking it out. We have a new iPhone, so we dont think the problem is on our end. Hopefully this bug can be fixed, then we will evaluate our 2 star review.
We have downloaded this twice and neither time did we get sound. Our 5-year old granddaughter started playing, and loved it, but since theres no sound, she cant do much. Please help…because we believe once we get sound we will give it 5 stars! Thanks.
We downloaded the app and started to play, but there is no sound. We have had the most recent update on our iPad. Help it wont let us go to the settings.
The games seem fun enough, it works fine. The characters are alluring, the colors are beautiful – it seems to be designed well as an app. But the theological implications of actually creating an image of God really concerns us. Our children might understand that God doesnt look like the light they have floating around and talking, but if we allow them to play this enough, this could change their Biblical understanding of the Lord. We are afraid we cant recommend it.
We were really excited about this game for our kids but as soon as they start to play it freezes and shuts down.
Cannot get any sound out of the app. Even when we turn the volume on the IPad up to high. F Can someone offer help with this.
Im a a God loving God fearing girl, but we are 16 and we learned something from this app! We know its for smaller kids, Id recommend 5-8 year olds, But there was a few facts that we had never heard before, (like the fact that Adam and Eve were put out of the garden because God didnt want them to eat from the tree of life after the tree of knowledge and to live forever in darkness) It does take up a lot of storage, but thats ok cause its only really interesting once, So you can delete it afterwards. Great game to teach young kids that electronics can be good things too. No shame in this game! No in app purchase that they can get by accident. No graphics. Just the amazing story of ultimate redemption. Your littles will love it, and maybe, just maybe, youll get pulled in like us, and youll love it too God bless you all.
Our kids loved this app! Pros: It teaches the Bible in a fresh, modern, adventure-filled way! Its free with no ads and no in-app purchases. Made by a trusted and well-known organization. Great for our 7 and 9 year old kids, wasnt too difficult, but wasnt too easy or boring. Runs well, didnt find any bugs or glitches. Supports multiple players. Cons: It takes up a huge amount of memory space on our phone. There are only 12 missions. Our kids completed them in just a few days, so now they are done with the app. Because it is such a large app we will probably delete it until updates and more levels are added. Our kids are very hopeful that there will be more missions added soon so they can continue playing.
Our 6 year old son loves The Greatest Journey App! Its such an dynamic series of adventure, with humor and learning built in! He cant wait to get to the next level and for this generation its an excellent way to instill knowledge of the Bible. Incredibly grateful to those who put this together and now, if only we can get our phone back from our son! David.
We are so thankful for Greatest Journey App from Operation Christmas Child. Our 5 year old daughter loves to watch and play the Greatest Journey. The app is teaching our daughter 12 Bible Lessons and she is having fun while learning more about God and the Bible in a very interactive way for a 5 year old. As a dad, we dont feel guilty letting our daughter play and watch The Greatest Journey app because we know she is learning about God and the Bible. We love having the Greatest Journey app for our daughter. A great tool to teach the next generation Gods Word.
We love it but it needs more like mosses and Pale Jon it is AMAZING.
We are pleased to say that this app is a winner for children in elementary school global. The app gives you the ability to digitally travel back in time and simulate parables and other parts of the Bible, in an easy child friendly format. We recommend this for 1st – 4th graders because anyone younger will have a little trouble understanding some of the missions. It is not happy world as most apps for this age group make things, yet the graphics arent gory but get to the point. We think the app is very good and at the end you get a bible! This is a wonderful app. Our only complaint is that it crashes on journey 4 chapter 1. The stories and graphics are really nice along with them being able to interact. Thank you for the time you spent on this for young children (actually any age child) who are so impressionable. We need more like this.

Our 6-year-old daughter is loving this game. It makes the Bible fun and relevant. Love how the characters of today find themselves in the stories and relate to them. Its fun hearing her giggles from the kitchen. She said the sheep is funny.

Kids love the app but cannot get past day 7. Have had the app for about 2 months and given it time to adjust bugs since its a new app. However, it continues to crash when day 7 is just about to begin. Has anyone had success getting past day 7? IPad 12.4 version and have lots of space. Hope it gets fixed soon.
Our girls love this app, but as soon as you discover Adam and start to upload the data, the game crashes. Would love to get past Week 1, Day 7 but you cant. Please fix this before we delete your app. Thank you.
App gets stuck on chapter 1 part 3. There is no way to go to the next chapter.

Apparently IOS 11 is the only operating system that works well. Our Ipad is IOS 13. No sound. Download took over 30 minutes. Grayed-out at the bottom of the initial screen are icons that appear to be for settings. They are not accessible. Great graphics. Looks like a fascinating game, but useless without sound(or closed captions).
Our grandson LOVES this app, but on our iPad it crashes after Chapter 1, and on our iPhone we have background music but no voice sounds. VERY VERY FRUSTRATING. Ive deleted, reloaded, re-booted, etc, several times each. PLEASE make this into the WONDERFUL learning tool that its meant to be.
