Community Insight:

We grew up playing the original Metroid and Castlevania games and this is a near perfect homage. The controls are obviously a little harder because its on the phone, but that does not detract from the joy of the game. One of the few games we even tried to get good at playing. We hope there is more to come in the future.

We enjoyed it so much we wish the developer did a sequel/continuation of the game.

Bewe im stuck and we have 1 Month or 2 but we like it is a good game but in getting frutation we need help.

Well all that needs to be said is in the title of this post. This game is a hidden gem and we hope more people will be as lucky as we were to have found it. This is a new classic imo. The devs nailed it! Please keep the content coming.

Great game, very underrated and worth the 2.99 give it a try.

This game is def a rare find. One of our favorite games to date. We hope the devs keep up the good work. Ive paid for a lot of games and had buyers remorse, not with this. Only thing we would ask is that to make this five stars is an update that lets you play music in the background so if we want to hear something other than the game soundtrack we can. But the game sound track is still awesome didnt stop us from putting in 10 plus hours so far.

This is a very fun game with compelling story. Unfortunately, it doesnt allow external audio to play so we cant listen to podcasts while exploring. Please update to allow external audio and make it perfect.

We are not compelled to complete Haak. The game does not rely on the grappling hook concept as much as one might expect. It is a basic game in the Metroidvania genre (Metroidvania games have a maze-like design) with some interesting story/design choices that resemble current times rather than the past or future. This makes the game somewhat interesting. Technically, Haak does take place in the future from 2025 when this review was written. The problem is that the controls do not live up to the interesting elements of Haak. We must have gotten 7-10 hours through the game before deleting it do to boredom. Two-dimensional games with digital circle pads, regular circle pads, or control sticks feel like a waste of an opportunity every single time.

We buy this on every platform its on to support the developers. Amazing metroidvania.

In the new dlc where you go into baak mind it crashed right when we were at the end with all our abilities with the presumed final conversation but when we went back the chess pieces were all completed but we lost all our abilities and the collectible abilitys were gone too. We are stuck for now and cant get out of baak mind.

The game is incredible, however it crashes from time to time, saving games on Icloud would also be great, we use an Ipad, Bionic A13 and IOS 16.1.

100 percent complete everything with touchscreen controls. The only proper MV Ive ever experienced on phone. Definitely recommend, beautiful game with diverse landscapes and incredible vistas. Not too hard not too easy. Great game.

We recommend every indie game fans to play a game like this, theres much to it from story, mechanics, music, graphics, everything is well-balanced and we hope that the developers wont stop soon of making more dlcs and adding more stuff to the game.

There needs to be an update to fix the bug that freezes your characters movement to the last input. Notice it when using a controller device that if you take damage the game glitches you into the last movement input, causing you to continue running or crouching or whatever the last movement input is. Our devices are up to date with the latest firmware so this isnt a client issue.

Absolutely amazing game! The developers really did a fantastic job, it plays like a great console indie and has good controller support. The story and gameplay is great and they even have an Akira character as an NPC. Definitely worth getting to support the dev team! We need more games like this on iOS.

Solid game. Probably one of the better games on iOS. Top ten in our book for mobile games. Doesn't have that mobile game feeling. Great soundtrack and sounds. Great storyline. Very good graphics and effects. However it was far too easy in our opinion when it came to the bosses, coming from years of gaming (grown up playing nes, super nes, pc, etc) but for someone newer to gaming might find it hard. They could of added more fighting than platforming. We are also a snob when it comes to gaming, and realize that not everyone that is gonna play this will have a controller. Other than that its a really well done game that the developers should be proud of. Look forward to more games by the developers.

This is a very well made platformer and we recommend you buy it. Its been a lot of fun so far and love has been put into it Im having some trouble with the iPad controls however and this would be the first iOS game Id consider a controller for. Im able to adjust the controls which is amazing. But when we do one of the gameplay features gets lost: Im no longer able to crouch and drop below platforms. Then we have to reset the controls to the default settings and Im able to crouch and drop below the platforms. And then we have to change them back to how we prefer them. Im hoping the developer sees this and can assist us and Ill be happy to update our review because this is a really fun and unique game and theres a lot here to love. Just having some technical difficulties.

Fantastic game. Very well done.

Superb quality. One of the best games available on iOS. That said, Apple TV support with cross save would be ideal. This is the sort of game that should be on Apple Arcade.

We contacted the dev on Steam and asked if the iOS version had controller support. He quickly replied with yes. Im using a PS5 gamepad. The game is amazing. Its the most fun Ive had w/ a game on iOS since Deadcells. Its a solid metroidvania that is story rich.

It would be great if we could use our Backbone to play this game. Great game either way tho.

If you plan on using a touchscreen, theres a bug where you cant go though floors, making the game unplayable. We tried using an iPhone 7+ and an iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Game keeps crashing! After spending a few hours completing the Brewery level, the game crashed when we were returning to New Sanho. The game now refuses to load our saved game! Every time we try to load our saved game file, it automatically crashes the game! We lost 20hrs of game play… :( Developers: please help.

Great world building, interesting characters all around. Exploration is fun and developed nicely. Its easy to teleport around the map using the teletoilets and you can also leave markers for stuff to come back to later. The touch controls are customizable and work really wellI would like to be able to move them a little closer together but its ok. Overrule great game and easy recommendation.

Ive been a huge fan of the Metroidvania genre and this game really surprises us with the high quality. This console-quality game just check all the boxes a good Metroidvania game should have: Great storyline and settings Well-crafted maps and level design Smooth actions and controls Huge variety of skills/moves to unlock * Lots of collectibles Other than the points mentioned above, it also features a quest system that you can get quests from NPCs or during explorations, and these quests are not just beat these monsters or collect these items. These quests are actually supported by stories and help you progress the game or understand more about the settings. We would highly recommend this game to any Metrovania lovers and would highly recommend to play it with a physical controller as it might become challenging in later stages of the game when you need precise inputs at a really fast pace.

We like metroidvanias, plays really well on our backbone controller. We were really pleasantly surprised with how extensive the story is. We're really invested in the world.

We just realized that this version doesnt have the black and white dlc yet and the news had us a bit disappointed :( we hope it gets an update soon we love the game. <3.

Hadnt heard of his game until seeing it in the iOS App Store and was pleasantly surprised to see it also had a Mac version. Plays really nice, and is fun so far (only about an hour in). However, theres no way to sync progress between your Mac and iPhone. So you have to pick which device you want to play it on and then stick to it. ICloud saves should be added.

We had a blast with this one. In the same league as our favorites in the genre. Hollow, metroid, axiom, sundered this one has it all we really hope people are playin this one. We are lookin forward to what is next :-).
