About Halcyon 6
On the edge of Terran space lies Halcyon 6, a derelict starbase left behind by a mysterious precursor race. Your mission is to reclaim the derelict station and rebuild it.A mysterious alien force is making a beeline towards Earth and this starbase is the best chance for the New Terran Federation to establish new alliances, research new technologies and otherwise figure out a way to stop the impending invasion.
Using only the resources you can salvage from the derelict station and gathered from nearby star systems, it’s up to you to rebuild the starbase to lead the Terran Republic’s scientific research, exploration and diplomatic efforts on the edge of known space.
Halcyon 6: Lightspeed Edition is a passion project whose design is inspired by our years spent playing classic games like Star Control, Master of Orion, X-COM, Civilization and new classics like FTL.

Base Building: spend resources to build station facilities (rooms) to enhance your production and technological capabilities, or build ships to help you control more territory

SO MUCH FUN. The retro graphics are fun, and the gameplay complexity is perfectly balanced! The story is funny and the sci-fi pop references are great. Word of advice: treat your green shirts well.
We love this game we dont play games much but Im addicted to this one.
Many of the aspects of the game are comparable to the XCOM series with some elements of things like FTL mixed in. The game is a wonderful addition to the play through of any strategy or sci-if game fan. We also enjoy the 8-bit graphical throwback nature.
Is that we want more please make more of this game even make dlc Id pay 10-20$ for at least 10 more hours of content. Or ya know like a lot of money for even a little bit more.

This is a truly excellent strategy game that scratches all the right itches for us. Resource/area management, lots of space battles, and an AI that keeps you on your toes. The ground battles are fun, but seem to be very minor compared to space battles. Looking forward to playing and learning more about the game!
Had this game for about 2 years now, and theres nothing we can really complain about. Officer portraits disappear sometimes is the only gripe we have. Turn-based combat and status effects are very straightforward. Story is simplistic and side quests arent too elaborate. Its a good way to go if you want to try dipping your feet into 4X but dont wanna go immediately into Stellaris or something like that.
Very unique and diverse open world. It makes turn based tactics intense again. Love everything about it!
This is a very high quality, well thought out game. We think that it is a little too complex for some though. There is so much to focus on, it is easy to get distracted and end up dead. This game kind of reminds us of Starcraft II if it was in space. Very good game!
Just finished this game after several hours of play over the last month. We freaking love this game, it shows you who needs amazing graphics to have a killer gaming experience and story! Hoping for more of this type from the developers. Love love love it! Well done!
Need that Darkest Dungeon itch scratched? Cant play darkest dungeon on iPhone. You can play this classic on your iPhone. Halcyon 6 has nothing to do with the HP Lovecraft atmosphere of DD, this gem stands on its own, with its own story & sci fi atmosphere. Dripping in pick up & play gameplay Drenched in tactics & strategy Has all the synergistic combos of the team based battles in Darkest Dungeon. This wont let down. Buy it and try it for yourself or see the reviews on YouTube. This is a heavyweight classic!
The game is clean simple and yet to find any bugs. The creator should see the potential a game like this would have playing against other people on the net without in-app purchases no P2W.

This game falls into the top 5% of best games in the app center for iPhone. You pay one time for a fun, intelligent, humorous and engaging game. Fully fleshed out, NOT trying to perpetually siphon cash out of you with no actual care for you as a consumer and using cynical addictive gambling psychology like most of top rated games. Really great and would love to see way more games like this one.
This game is the best game we’ve ever played on the iPad we recommend this game to anybody who wants to have fun its just amazing we cant recommend this enough its fun its tactical you have to use strategies and it can be a little hard but once you accomplish something if feels great we really recommend you get the game its an amazing game trust us.

Im looking forward to a long love affair with this game. Only been playing for a day now, but we love the genre, the snarky wit, and the way options are presented in every facet of the game. Youve probably noticed the negative reviews based on UI problems selecting the right button. We cant speak to the problems on a phone, but Ill tell you that those problems dont exist on a tablet. Im playing on an iPad mini, and we have had no playability issues whatsoever. We can see how it could be an issue on a smaller screen (so be warned) but on a tablet this game is gold. Very well developed game from what we’ve seen so far; we might lower this 5* rating if we run into huge problems with it later, but so far everything we’ve seen tells us that this is a gem. Sad to see that the last update was three years ago, but it looks like there is plenty enough content to justify the purchase.

Im a Console gamer but we’ve been having so much fun playing this game that no other entertainment matters anymore. All jokes aside you are our favorite game developer. Love the game its probably one of the best bought games we play other then a few bugs that should be fixed we believe some more should be added to the game such as a different option where you start as a race you choose and grow your space and compete diplomatically and strategically against the other races and just more options in the game then there are already.
This game has no IAP and feels a bit like XCOM. Its our new favorite iOS game and doesnt have that gross App Store game feel most others have. It reminds us of a solid 2000 space game youd get on PC before the mobile market ruined games. Definitely a must have if you are looking for a mobile strategy game. We only wish it used the entire width of the screen on the iPhone XS Max and hid the bar on the bottom which covers the crew names. The game is totally playable on be phone though so dont let that discourage you.
Great game, wish we could play it efficiently. IPhone X screen cuts off the UI, so we cant move ships from one star system to another. Also cant see enemy debuffs in battle. Please optimize for iPhone X screen, this game is super interesting. Edit – they fixed it!
One of the few games out there that doesnt hound you for more $$$.
As someone who doesnt write reviews for apps often, we felt it necessary to do so because Halcyon 6 may be one of the best games we’ve ever played; not just on iOS either. This game includes some of the most in depth turn based combat as well as hosts an immersive and rich galaxy of races with their own interracial conflicts and agendas. This game can be completed relatively quickly though, which is our only complaint given its relatively higher price, as far as App Store games go. Despite that, we still have spent more time with this game than most others due to its high replay value.

To the people who think that this game is unplayable due to the age and new IOS(plural) and New Phones, you are completely incorrect. We never write reviews but after seeing the reviews calling the developers scammers, we decided to leave a remark. We have recently started playing this game on the PC however we plan on taking a trip without our PC so we wanted to be able to play this Mobile, our expectations were low because of the prior reviews. We were blown away it is completely compatible for this iOS and for the XS max, it may not be the most beautiful graphics but do not let this unique art style drive you away. Wonderful mechanics albeit, not perfect defintely a bit touchy at times however, if you have played the PC version you will climb up the metaphorical learning curve very quickly.
Would love to see updates or a new game from you guys! Year later Im still replaying as our favorite space rpg.
This game is 5 years old, but a breath of fresh air amongst freemium or microtransaction types of games. We play on iPhone 12 and for us the screen size is sufficient. Only sometimes you are trying to press an icon and it isnt registering easily but its easy to work around it. Well worth the low cost.
Impeccably made. When we drove back the first incursion we were like a little short, but still worth the money, then it kept going and we saw the tier 4 ships and we died of happiness.
Glad we can take this everywhere we go if we could give more stars we would great game.
Definitely one of the best Space RPGs in the market. We have played many and spent $$ to be disappointed, but it is nice to find one that is enjoyable and worthy.
We found this game on steam and was intrigued by the concept. Halcyon 6 combines base management with turn based combat both in ships as well as on the ground. It feels similar to xcom 2, as you play as the last humans fighting an alien threat by building up resource avenues and maintaining secure territory by assaulting the portals that spawn waves of chruul raiding parties. There is a sizable amount of ships and officers to choose from, each bringing unique abilities to the table. For example, engineering ships pack an attack called disassembly, which sends a swarm of tiny drones, which highly resemble a swarm of bees, to lacerate the enemy ship, inflicting a dot effect. It is worth the money if you are looking for an offline game that has satisfying turn based and base buildings gameplay.

The story, art, and music are all high quality. The combat system is somewhat deep, with a lot of status effects and combinations to consider. However, difficulty ramps up slowly enough to discover your play style as you go. The closest comparison we can make for this game is XCOM. You have base building, resource management, alert-type events, technology research, unit skill trees, and exploration similar to XCOM. Instead of only one monolithic enemy, like in XCOM, there are different factions beyond the main antagonist in H6 that you can war or ally with. Also, some of the in-base events in H6 seem a bit more fleshed out, with different decisions sometimes leading to unexpected results. So, the H6 story telling seems to be a little better than XCOMs, which is quite a feat. Unlike XCOM, there is no isometric battlefield. Battles in space and on the ground are classic turn-based style, without consideration for elevation, range, or positioning. So combat is a little less in-depth, which is just fine for a mobile game. As far as I-Phone games go, Id put it in our top 5.
No inapp purchases, no pop up ads. A nice, in depth game. Its really pretty good.

Im so tired of free to play games trying to squeeze you for profits. Its so much better to pay a couple dollars and get a great game like this !

Fun and clever game with strong influences from Star Control 2 and Master of Orion. This game succeeds at creating the storytelling and strategy that made those games so good. The storytelling is a fun progression with witty dialogue options. Who knew the desperate struggle to save the human race from extinction would often be so hilarious?! The strategy will look familiar to people who have played SC2 and MoO. There is some decent depth. You can play and have a fun time with or without exploring how deep the strategy can go. We are looking forward to trying other games from this team. Thanks for the great game!
Love this game! So much fun. Whether you have 15 minutes or an hour to spare. It will keep you engaged. Unfortunately though there is a bug that prevents our saved game from loading on the current version and boots us back out to our home screen. Developer please address this soon!
We beat the easy mode. Loved the progression of the game, yet while confirming an action at starbase we just would have to hold our finger down untill it registered visually or else a different selection screen would pop up (maybe from the menu behind our current objective option).
Take the time to learn and restart. Great rpg game with many layers. Not a basic rpg. Do it. Buy it.
This game has a rich story. It is reminiscent of other space games we’ve greatly enjoyed, but has its own unique depth and flavor. At this point we only wish the developers would take a bit of time to update the app for the newer IPhone X. There are times that text is off the screen due to the app being out of date. Additionally they are not taking advantage of the double speaker system on the new iPhone X like other games do. (Namely Monster Hunter Stories by capcom). All that said it is still worth playing.
We LOVE this game. We’ve beaten it and keep coming back to play it a different way. However, it quits unexpectedly A LOT. Thankfully, it saves automatically frequently, but fix it please?
