It’s rated 4+ and currently has 8+ ratings on the App Store.
What Makes Headings – Air Traffic Control Stand Out
Headings is the most realistic Air Trafic Control (ATC) radar simulator and trainer for iPhone and iPad you will find. From complete newbie to seasoned ATCO, there is a mode for you. Learn about ATC techniques and tools such as vectoring, speed control, QDMs, aircraft performance and more. Also includes a Eurocontrol FEAST-II part 2 training mode so you can train estimating headings just by sight while also constantly shifting focus to different aircraft. (what we call scanning and is an essential skill for these kinds of tests) Acquire and hone new skills, then compete for the top spot on the leaderboard to see if you can beat real Air Traffic Control Officers (ATCOs). Scenarios currently include Dubai International, JFK (New York), Heathrow (London), Zaventem (Brussels), Schiphol (Amsterdam), Rome (Fiumicino) and New Delhi (Indira Gandhi) featuring actual aircraft callsigns and types from those locations. Or choose your custom runway direction you'd like to train on. 6 difficulty levels per scenario allow you to really become accustomed to the airspace and also focus training on a certain type of traffic. Extreme traffic modes make you experience the true at the top of focus/edge of drowning feeling just like real traffic does. For valid ATCOs, please add your 4-letter Unit identifier in your gamecenter name to show up in the leaderboards with your unit. This is version one of a one-man project. Love the job so much that I decided to make my own training/refreshing/game tool to enjoy during off days :-) Ad-free for life hence the initial one-time purchase. If you have any questions, suggestions, comments or requests for new airports/airspaces please send me an email at [email protected]. Screen size of the iPhone currently limits some airspace possiblities. In the works: Voice control, New headings game mode, bigger airspace which is GPS accurate SID/STARs, etc. Of course that will be free for those who support this version. Thank you and regards, N.
This Simulation game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:
The developer(s) did an amazing job on this app, and we hope they continue developing it for a long time to come. This game has so much potential, and we can't wait to see what gets added next! We will say that it can be quite puzzling for some people, as it simulates the real thing, but it gets easier as time goes on! We would love for the developers to make things like tower/ground/center controller modes for more diversity, but it's truly at a great start! We recommend this app, thank you developers for making a truly realistic simulator that also works as a puzzle.
This is a very good game, although there are a few features that are missing. It would be great to see a zoom feature in this game, this would help alot when you line planes up for landing it can get cluttered and hard to see so an addition of a zoom feature would be helpful.
This is one of the best ATC games out there. The controls are quick to learn. It would be great if you had default approaches you could put planes on and then vector to final. Maybe have a small failure rate where the pilot misses a turn or command. The only thing we noticed is the observed speed thresholds below 10k dont apply. These are minor callouts as the single dev delivered a great experience.
Good, but could be improved with more airports, runway change assignments, voice vectoring/recognition and approach gates.
This seems to be the best one we have tried. We would love to see SID/STAR incorporation with descend and climb via clearances. More intersections to aid in vectoring. More airports with intersecting landing runway operations. One thing we dont like is the random generation in the very beginning. The aircraft should generate from a waypoint handoff. Otherwise a great trainer/game from a one man team. Added the 5th star because the developer cares about his product and communicates to the custome. Bravo :-).
After the developer saw our review and contacted us in a matter of days. He fixed the iOS zoom setting issue and now we can see the exit points. :-) On our iPhone 12, the speed settings are too fast, x50 is more like an arcade. We suggested something like; c1, x4, x7, x10 instead. As is, we leave it on x1 just put it down for a while. We think we heard a real air traffic controller collapse on the floor. 8-).
