We love the game the artworks great and its just really fun its just we honestly dont know what theyre saying because its not in English if it got an English setting that would be great.

We know most of us have a big language barrier and all but Im just wonderinghow was this even allowed in the App Store? Copyright? Nonexistent.
Literally every other review is removing stars bc they cant speak Japanese. This was the original japanese game so we dont get why they think itll be in english. The game is great, glad its on mobile.
So we love the fact that it has no English because we can make the story whatever we want but we also want to experience higurashi when they cry on the go.
Omg if you watched the anime youre going to love the original game!! People on here giving bad reviews because its only in Japanese but what do you expect it was originally made in guess what….. Japan. Smh we could never give a great game with a even better story a bad review because of translations thats so childish. Anyways this game is great its fun and exciting to hear all the original soundtrack because we watched the anime first before even seeing this little gem! We really hope it blows up and gets popular because we would love to see this series go as far as the stars. And to the developers if you ever decide to update it with a English version we would gladly pay for this game to be translated! This show/game/novel is worth our money and would want to support anyway possible!

We were so exited when we got this game because Im a big fan of higurashi when they cry and they say theres English in this game and we were really happy but it was not English it was JAPANESE but we liked the characters they are really good whoever draw that is an amazing artist but there is just Japanese everywhere but we liked the music and the backgrounds and hope you can make a one with English!
We like the game. Its got nice artwork and music, but theres no English support to our knowledge (I may be wrong because we cant read anything in the options menu)

Lets be clear that we are not annoyed that its not in English Im annoyed that its still marked under English support. If you know the language then we hope you enjoyed the game and Im sure its awesome! We just dont understand whats going on since we dont speak the language. When we were playing this game it wasnt so bad the only problem was nothing was in English but we still liked the game.

Its apparently the visual novel but its not at all translated to English like it says but other then that the sounds and graphics are the same as on the pc.

When we were loading it in the start it said have to download 160mb of data but then we thought its normal but when we closed it and saw the thing again IT TELLED ME DOWNLOAD AGAIN AND IT TAKES SO LONG when we started the game it crashed and made us load it agaian plz make it so u can download all the startar datas so you can not have to download it again plz.
Ok so why is there no English setting?? You know how many people have been wanting to play this? Not every one can freaking read/speak Japanese!!! You should have put in an English setting update by now very disappointed.

Contrary to the store page, English is not really supported. The main menu has been translated but after that we found nothing. Many reviews are saying its dumb to expect English when its a Japanese game but we’ve been playing English versions of Japanese games for over 30 years now and we think its not asking too much to support the languages of markets you release your game in. That being said, if you want to play the Higurashi games, we believe they are available in English on PC. No luck here though.
Nov 2021 Dont waste your time downloading this app if you cannot read or speak the native language this VN hails from. There is NO ENGLISH SUBTITLES. Stupidity at its finest, to release for western market in the App Store – but not have a way for us to read it.
PLEASE COME BACK AND MAKE AN ENGLISH VERSION. This was our favorite anime and it still holds up so, so well. We want to experience the game so bad.
We were so excited when we saw this being a huge fan of Higurashi and wanting to play the game that started everything. It said it had English support too so we were even happier. Then we found out that short of throwing menu nothing is in English. We were so disappointed. Please make a full English supported version.
We love anime n manga but we do not speak or understand japanese please please translate this game and so many others like it into English, they look great n are fun but would love to know what there saying. .. Because of the picture at the top and the front page we though it would have english subtitles but sadly it doesn’t… We tried just figuring it out and it’s not really a game more like a novel with a really long introduction. Please do it in english! PLEASE!

You don’t know how happy you just made this Higurashi fan! When we first got our iPod we were disappointed when we searched for anything Higurashi with no luck. We’re glad we looked through the new releases! We just got Higurashi-Kizuna so this isn’t new to us, but it’s good for a time killer. Are you by any chance going to release the first arc of the matsuri game? I’d definitely pay for that rather than the PC version. Nice to have this for free though. Thank you!

Finally, the medium we’ve been waiting for. No complex download software and no tricks importing or switching locales, plus it’s portable. Interface works very smoothly. A great new way to get a great game.

Well, we’re really happy to find this… But we’re afraid we know almost no Japanese, so hopefully an English version will be made available soon! Otherwise, we guess we’ll just take a crash course in Japanese, and hope for the best. XD.
A great treasure to find for a huge Higurashi fan but it really needs to be in English for full enjoyment.
Please make English version!! This needs to be in English SOON!!! We hope you guys develop this in english already because we would like to understand what we’re doing rather than pressing random things we cannot understand. I’d also bet that you’d get more people to buy this if it were in English, we’re just saying. And as Erika Furudo said in their review, we would also like an Umineko version of this. Oh yeah, and it sometimes crashes.
