Our sound dont work and our volume is all the way up we dont know why they have 5 stars pls respond pls we really want help with the sound. Im trying to be nice and calm as possible Thank You!
We’ve had this app for a few weeks and we love it when it works. But most of the time there is no sound! Id give it 4 stars if it worked every time but we have to turn off the app, clear the phone and restart the phone before the sound comes back. Im playing the sounds of silence but not on purpose!
They say itll detect your kalimba so you can follow along with the app but it doesnt. They never updated their software for it to do that. We bought a vip membership and still got nothing. Dont waste your money based for this feature. Other than that its alright but there are better/cheaper apps out there.
Those songs are so EZ, there are no chords, just melody, and this just like a simulator, u can not even play it with your real kalimba.
The soothing tunes of the Kalimba calmed our nerves after our credit card information was stolen. We may be thousands of dollars in debt, but at least we can enjoy a wonderful Kalimba solo. 10/10.
How do we connect it to our real kalimba.
We love this app and dont get us wrong there are a lot of songs but not a lot of songs that Im interested in learning. We would like more English songs, that is really the only issue we have. Other than that we love this app and it has taught us a lot.
We love this app but we would like for there be a choice to have both numbers and letters like a real kalimba but we still love it because we get to learn and play new songs and we had this for a long time already we got this because we wanted to buy a Kalimba and so this app really made us want one and now we have one and we get to learn how to play new song on our Kalimba from this app! We are new to playing the Kalimba. The app is easy to follow with really nice sound. We can see this as an aid to quickly learning this instrument.
We wish there was we feel like yall dont know some songs that we like so sigh can yall put Steven universe songs?
This app has so many features that many people would pay for, available hassle-free and actually free. But basic manual playing and retuning is obstructed by the design of the menus, for the purpose of triggering ads. Why? Do you not see it should be the other way around?
So we tried to turn on the irl kalimba recognition thing, and it didnt work. We went into the settings since the app never even asked for mic perms. Dont you need to enable mic perms to use the recognition?! Somebody please fix this, we were really excited when we found this app because of the recognition stuff.
This is a great app. We love how there is a global leaderboard. The only issue we really have with this app is there is no way to delete an account. For our own reasons, we would like the option to delete some of our accounts and have them taken off the global leaderboard. Please add the feature to be able to delete accounts.
This is a fun app for the times we dont have a Kalimba handy. We enjoy the tunes and concept. Thank you for sharing the joy of kalimba!
We tend to memorize songs by sections and then by piecing those sections together, but this is hard to do when we have to replay the entire song over and over to get to the one section Im at. If we could play the section, rewind to just before the section starts, play the section again and repeat until we are ready to move to the next section, that would be extremely helpful.
Not sure if Im doing it wrong or if the recognition feature doesnt work lol we are playing as loud as we can and it still doesnt pick up.
We can figure the songs out on our own Kalimba if we slow it down enough and gradually increase the speed. However, we really wished that the recognition feature worked because that would make it a lot easier and we might actually pay for the premium version.
Seems more like a fun, interactive game rather than a tool to learn how to play the kalimba. That being said it was fun to play with and nice that it would stop for you to get the right note instead of buzz an ugly noise at you when you got it wrong.
We enjoy the sound, but find the music incomprehensible. We wish there were more western music available. Xmas carols are enuf for western players.
We just ordered our first Kalimba and downloaded to practice and learn some songs. Our issue is; the timing is off somehow. Like we know a song and Im like its not that slow. Our biggest thing is we want to turn off that background sound and theres no way to do it. Its annoying and clicks, we just want the Kalimba sounds.
The app wont recognize the notes from our real kalimba even with recognization mode on. Other than that its pretty good.
Unlike what the app leads you to believe, it cant actually sync with the audio from your real kalimba. It has a button to turn on music recognition but it doesnt actually do anything. Real bummer, we guess it would be alright if you dont have a real kalimba but if you do its not helpful in learning to play.
This would be an awesome app if the recognition worked. We want to learn to play songs on our own Kalimba.
We were super excited to find an app that has so many songs Im an American otaku so we were happy we knew quite a few songs on this app. But we cant get the recognition to work at all we uninstalled and reinstalled it twice and nothing it shows its picking up sound but we cant play on our own Kalimba. Do we have to pay for the full version to use it?
The app is easy to understand and use thankfully! Its really helpful with our new kalimba we just got! Yet it doesnt recognize our notes when we have recognition mode on to pay with our actual kalimba. We really want this fixed so we can learn to play!
The sound wont come on for us, like at all. Its strange.
Out of nowhere the instrument stops making sound and we have to keep rebooting the app. And it has so many adds so rebooting it annoying.
We tried to use it with our real Kalimba! But its not recognizing, we checked with our mic privacy settings and the app isnt even there which means its fake listening! When you install any software that uses the mic it has to ask for permission to use the mic which this isnt the case here, So how is it supposed to recognize the real Kalimba?! By the sixth sense?!
This app is terrible! We are unable use our real kalimba with it! It does not ask for our microphone so that might be the biggest issue! Wooo be changing our review once it gets fixed but till then we would not recommend to any IOS users!
After playing for two weeks with sounds, then the sounds stop working. It works when plugging in headset but not without. The apps listening features dont work when playing with a real kalimba. We removed and reload app and will have issues. Sent message to developer but not responding to messages.
It doesnt even use the microphone, it doesnt ask for permissions and in settings there isnt a microphone option. It doesnt hear the kalimba and you cant play the song without it hearing that you hit the kalimba note. It does have lots of songs though, but you have to upgrade for a lot of them. Doesnt matter if we cant play them though does it.
Im trying to use our real Kalimba but it doesnt even work with the app since the app doesnt ask to use the microphone.
We’ve tuned, retuned our Kalimba. We’ve tried every setting. Nothing works. We can see the microphone symbol is showing that it is hearing the notes, but it just doesnt recognize Im playing the same note it wants us to. Even though we am, and Im in tune. There is a setting to change note recognition to approximate from absolute, still doesnt work.
This is a good app for the people who are interested in this instrument. We think you should make an option to have higher pitches, and maybe different colors just to be more playful.
La aplicacin es buena y ayuda a personas que estn iniciando. Presenta buen potencial para crecer . Tiene msica hecha por personas que dominan el instrumento pero permite subir msica de personas que solo suben notas por subir. Los anuncios son agobiantes. Prefiero pagar un precio razonable que continuar con el mismo anuncio cada vez que decido volver al menu a escoger otra cancin. Good apps, but have to much ads thats its irritable , really we prefer buy for the APPS. Have a lot of potencial to grow. Please remove just a little the ads, that really make us angryyyyyy. How you connect the kalimba to recognition notes???
The music is the same that youll find tabs for Kalimba with much being Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese music, but pretty. The problem we have with the app is that the timing is poor in dropping the notes. Each measure is fine, but the count at the end coming into the next measure is not right. Maybe this is an Asian thing but western music is timed carefully in each measure. So playing the music the way it ought to sound is off. Either we play the notes to hurry up and wait or if we slow it down there is a lag and then the background music is off. It is strange. If you could fix this then it would be nicer. We do like the app though and if we find it was operator error (my mistake in using the app) then we will come back to change our review. We have only been using it an hour, but we do play the Kalimba.
Seems to be a fun app with a lot of potential, but we dont have time to waste with ads, ads, ads! Would like a paid option without the ads.
We play the trial song and then an ad appears and we no longer can hear any sound coming from the instrument. Super frustrating.
